I think we will die before bitcoin dies, bitcoin has a great future ahead and it is only dead in the minds of people who views it negatively, but we should not bother about them.

Not even dead with $400 because it is a bigger amount compared to the amount at the start of this year, bitcoin has already increase substantially this year so I would not say it will die, the progress is continuing so we can see another increase in the coming months.$400 price is not considered to bitcoin is dead already as you said its still a big amount and more than to the entry price of this year on bitcoin. For sure we would witness the price increase of bitcoin in upcoming months and years. Progress is normal for bitcoin because its becoming popular day by day and the adoption is possible.

I will start thinking Bitcoin is dead when I need to exchange my Bitcoins to other altcoin when I using (spending) my Bitcoins. Not happening today. All I see some altcoin prices up (some > 10x in few months), yet their real useability is almost the same - clear sign of speculation bubble to me.

During the early stage of bitcoin it died but it was able to recover and alive and even hit the milestone of price peak to $1,200 but unfortunately it falls back hard after the Mt. Gox incident, and now the economy is very strong after being tested many times and I do not see it will die again.Agree, i witness that event when bitcoins price dump hard but still it makes way to recover back and gradually increase its price even to reach the $1.2k bracket. It normal for bitcoin to suffer and experience price drops and inflation because there are lots of factors to be considered on the movement of its price.
