I've been intrigued with the prospect of anonymous coins so I decided to make this list of all known anononymous coins and their anonymity systems compared to one another.
Feel free to post about the various, almost endless anonymous coins available.
A lot of monero forks with some "improvements" exists, more or less known, for example SUMO and Fonero. Feel free to post about the various, almost endless anonymous coins available.
Anonymous coin on Hardware wallet
This is what I'm aiming for. What privacy coins are out there that can be stored on a hardware wallet like a trezor or ledger. So far I only know of Zcash.

Excelent question, I found this thread looking for this very answer. My goal is the long term investment, but the privacy is the feature I am looking for. Anonymous coins that are very nieche are in my opinion missing the point. They may well disappear completely in a long run, so I don't consider them suitable for my long-term investment.
My list is the following (the order by market cap from http://coinmarketcap.com)
- Monero: The one highest in coinmarketcap is Monero but it is not supported by hardware wallets, it is on Ledger roadmap (https://trello.com/b/5nQ1mdzt/ledger-roadmap), but no ETA there,
- Zcash: The next one in coinmarketcap is Zcash and it is supported by HWs all right,
- XSPEC & others: Some other cryptocurrencies mentioned in this thread, like Spectrecoin (XSPEC) are too nieche and also they are not supported by hardware wallets. Spectrecoin is Rank 315 on coinmarketcap.

I would add Mimble Wimble which has some breakthrough solutions in place that are missing from other currencies. I had a thread on Mimble Wimble which disappeared under tons of garbage but it was before the merit system was introduced. XSPEC has this on the roadmap for an upcoming version. Btw, XSPEC is based on ShadowCash, but has since added significant improvements and additional security / privacy features.

Shadowcash - This coin uses the Ring Signatures supplied in Monero/Cryptonote, it also uses Shadow Tokens to help with anonymity as well, and it's all done on the Bitcoin codebase, it is an initial fork of Bitcoin. However this coin had just 14 days available for mining, so it has what's called a fastmine.

Just quick reminder there Shadowcash devs quit their project and moved to crowdfounded token that is now Partcil, it was around february last year if I remember correctly. It uses ring signitures but its not rpivate by default, there you had an option to "destroy" your current coins and swap them to some kind of token equal amount that couldn't be traced. Basically you can send it that other people see on open blockchain or you could use this other route that will hide your transactions.
I will also like to add PIVX, because it havn't been mentioned so far.

You need to include BTCx. It’s an anonymous variant of BTC which includes private transactions
I know this is an old thread, but stumbled into it while googling list of snonymous crypto. I think they will continue gaining in value.

Anonymous coins is not the most important thins for a coin. And most of people don't really need 100% anonymous.

There are many privacy-oriented coins out there, but which ones do you think will survive and why?

Monero - This coin uses something called Cryptonote, which is at it stands, the most anonymous system available. Cryptonote is unrivaled in terms of fungibility ability and secure anonymity while also having completely different code than Bitcoin, so it's not a bitcoin clone as almost all other coins are. Monero has no premine or instamine, has a very large, active community, and a large dedicated dev team of 7(lucky #).

Darknote - This coin uses the same Cryptonote system Monero has, which means it's anonymity system already surpasses many other coin's who uses mixers, tumbler, and etc. It has a small community and dev team. This coin was originally called Ducknote before the name change.
Clown/Jester Tier
Dash - This coin uses masternodes to deliver anonymity. However, there are a few huge issues with this coin, it has had an enormous instamine where 2million+ coins were emitted in 2 days to a few miners at it's release, and then have the large coin ouput reduced by more than 300% by it's developers. This means that the extremely early miners who mined on the first 2 days recieved 10% of the entire coin supply all to themselves. Dash was originally named Darkcoin, then renamed to Dash, in what's most likely an attempt to try and shake off the initial scam it had by it's developers(It failed).
Navajocoin- This coin uses centralized mixers to mix users coins, which destroys the entire point of being decentralized.

yes, I agree with you, Monero is a good coin if you want to trade without public your information. Besides that, Its price is also nice to invest.
