Is there some group which collects funds for Bitcoin promotion? If some group like this can create advertisements for Bitcoin, more people can become aware. Such mediums should be targeted which have reach on audience that is still not familiar with crypto.
Until now I have never heard of any group advertising bitcoin specifically. Because in my personal opinion Bitcoin does not require advertising or promotional actions in any form. Because currently bitcoin can be said to have become a very well-known asset. Plus, as far as I know, Bitcoin got to the point it is today, without anyone specifically promoting it (on a large scale). So you could say that all of Bitcoin's success just flows because of the quality it has. So in my personal opinion, Bitcoin does not need advertising. Because there are no factors that require Bitcoin to be advertised.

However, if for example Bitcoin is promoted, chances are that the results will be very good. Because with promotions, Bitcoin will definitely become more widely known.
But as you said, advertising bitcoin definitely requires quite a lot of funds. So it is very likely that all groups/bitcoin investors will be a little reluctant if they have to promote bitcoin by spending their own funds. So in conclusion, Bitcoin does not require any promotional or advertising steps. Because in my personal opinion, although it will most likely be a little slow, it would be better if bitcoin spread throughout the world by itself. So Bitcoin will become a more expensive, valuable and special asset.
By now, almost everyone knows what Bitcoin is, and it has that reputation without all the extras that come with standard advertising. But let's get rid of the noise: brightness and exposure are the same thing. Bitcoin might not "need" ads, but think of all the new customers it could reach with a good campaign. Think about the parts of society that haven't used crypto yet; they arent searching the web for blockchain stories.

Yeah, the costs are high. No one wants to spend money if they arent sure they will get it back. Thats it, though, right? High risk, but the payoff could be bigger. With all the attention on Bitcoin, we might be on the verge of a boom or bust. Value and desire will go through the roof if its done right. If not, its a waste of money.

The really interesting thing about this is how growth and natural spread are opposites. A slow burn makes sure that only people who understand it spend, but advertising could speed up the rise to even greater heights. Being there is just as important as having worth. And these days, having a position is the same as having power.

I mean Bitcoin become popular without any promotion except from it's supports who are constantly promoting it for "FREE". Group that collects funds for Bitcoin promotion? That sounds more of a scam to me TBH, or if not, it will not be used properly. I'm not against it, but for me, we don't need it. We don't need a central authority to focus on the marketing side of Bitcoin. After all, it's a currency, not a product or service whatsoever.
Bitcoin is a decentralized project so its developments are contributed by many people, decentralized globally. If we appreciate their development works, products, let's donate bitcoin to their donation addresses. Each well-known Bitcoin developer has a donation address and we are free to support them.

Check their Github, personal websites, products they have built and if we have good finance, make donation is a good step to do.

Quote
Let's just focus on what it is I guess. Let us, Bitcoin supporters promote it "FOR FREE". We don't need a group of people to promote it because we can do it ourselves right? Let the developers maintain it, and we as supports do our thing. Cheesy
Support must be contributed with freedom, not mandatory. Donation is for individual developer, not for a group of developers. A decentralized project should not have a centralized donation fund.

Bitcoin does not need funds to promote itself - it has been promoted for free so far. Many centralized platforms utilize bitcoin to attract their customers - so I don't think bitcoin needs to pay much for such promotions. You should realize that because you've been here since 2017 - but your question doesn't make sense.

In my opinion, Bitcoin has already taken a place to be prominent, so there is no more justification for it to be promoted through advertising. Because if we look at his standard of Bitcoin, which is already much more than enough to trademark, although some things like brands or other stuff need promotion, it means they need to be promoted and relayed to others to be shown, like other businesses or brands. But if a thing has to meet all the criteria that are required for a brand or other stuff like fame, which is Bitcoin, they are well-known, while Bitcoin is a well-known thing and is not dependent on others.

It means that Bitcoin doesn't need to be promoted more, while we need to put more emphasis on educating people about it because education can bring up more awareness about it, there will be more interest in it, and more people have to come to take part in Bitcoin, and it will show up a path in which whoever follows it's right, so their aim will come true after the return of their investment.

We don't need that honestly. Those that have done that in the past that has such good hearts, they probably were just closed circle of friends or individuals that have tried to give their contribution and to show how much they are supporting bitcoin.

Such mediums should be targeted which have reach on audience that is still not familiar with crypto.
The news that are being brought by the media are more than enough to give exposure for Bitcoin and to reach those that don't have an idea yet about Bitcoin or crypto. But if you think that this is needed then go to those foundations that have been posted here and has their organizations organize things. Again, it's not needed at all and Bitcoin thrived to popularity based on different sentiments from the people including the most negative ones and FUDs.

Those who are promoting BTC are also the consumers of it, and we are also consumers of BTC, so what different impact they will make that we cannot make? Will they convince people around you more than your own words? If you really wanted to promote BTC then make some banners and start teaching about BTC for free of cost also try to give them incentives like one of the members here tried to do.

And what do you mean by such mediums should be targeted? because there are many international and local mediums that are trying hard to promote BTC not because they like BTC so much, but just because they do know BTC can change their lives BTC can prevent a gambler from wasting his money on gambling and can move it to the BTC.

BTC has provided a new way for the poor to be rich in no time, it makes many millionaires and after doing some research I found these 2 platforms that can be considered as promotive companies for BTC but I prefer to do your own research.

You can also count Coin Center in it.

Bitcoin is already known by so many people and that's why it's not needed to promote it further via advertisements. When the next halving event takes place and the next bull run starts people will promote Bitcoin themselves and the whole media will promote it via their live advertisements.

The audience is mostly on TV media and social media and they really give time to hear anchors and social media influencers. The influencers and TV anchors will promote Bitcoin for free of cost and they'll earn from such promotions. In face Bitcoin isn't like other crypto-currencies that rely on promotions.

Best way to promote Bitcoin is to talk about it. You do not need money to do that. Just do your part and make sure that, thanks to you, someone new joins the coiner community.

But either way it will happen, I think. Bitcoin is just too good to pass up, especially if you understand why. Unfortunately, the understanding of the "why" part is really hard for some people because it is technical.

Lucky for them, experts can explain it in terms they can understand.

I am just surprised that this thread created just today is upto the 3rd page. And there's no serious discussion happening in this thread. The thread itself looks like a low quality discussion thread.

OP, if this suggestion of yours  about bitcoin advertisment came 8yrs ago, it would have been fine. Because that is when I really think that bitcoin needed help and not now. I think you will be around when the bull run will start. Only the wave of the bull run will introduce millions to bitcoin. I don't think bitcoin needs any advertisement.

Bitcoin doesn't need those groups because Bitcoin also doesn't need any promotion like that. Bitcoin should not be thought of as a shit altcoin that needs promotion to attract investors. Bitcoin is promoted by itself, but sometimes some big whales use the name of Bitcoin to gain profit by manipulating the market.
So stop thinking of Bitcoin as a project or a centralized company that needs funds to promote. It's a fully decentralised system that maintains both privacy and economic freedom. Moreover it is already popular so I think it doesn't need any specific advertisement, but a large part of the world's population still doesn't know about the proper use of Bitcoin so to make them aware everyone who is associated with it should aware them about the uses of bitcoin from then own position.

Come on, give it a break man.
What reason might it be that there should be some form of promotion for Bitcoin? At what end?

For the few years I’ve spent within this space, Bitcoin isn’t soliciting for any form of promotion to get the recognition it needs, but still, it goes viral at a good pace.

No need to not let things move at it’s own pace and having a group for fund raising and promotion isn’t going to help either. Any flaw in such systems would be attributed to the Bitcoin initiative and that is something we wouldn’t want to deal with.
Don’t go about seeking such and get scammed because, ideas such as this is capitalized on by scammers. One best means to mean well for Bitcoin and yourself is buy some yourself. Grow your portfolio.

It's actually funny, but all the shitcoin casinos and scams are doing all in their power to promote themselves.
FTX was everywhere and sponsored a lot of events.
Bitconnect organized conventions.
Crypto.com is in all the major sports events, including formula 1 and UFC. (it's not a scam, but they're promoting shitcoins and NFTs, so it's as close as it can be).

Does bitcoin really want to be in that company, fighting for profit-hungry investors?

We had something like that in the past, it was called the Bitcoin Foundation:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-bitcoin-foundation-113400
https://www.bitcoinfoundation.org/

I'm actually surprised the website (and the foundation?) is still alive.
I remember there being some controversies around it, including unusually high salary of the foundation's secretary and some other ones.

As much as there was some point of having such organisation at the very begining of Bitcoin, when there was a lot of uncertainty etc, I don't think we need anything of that sort anymore as we already reached mainstream. It would also create a false idea that there is some form of Bitcoin's central entity that could be confusing to people who are new to Bitcoin.

What we would actually need is a bunch of professional lobbyist in the US (we already had those too) to make sure no regulations harmful to crypto are passed.

The age of Bitcoin until 2023 is 14 years. During the previous years, Bitcoin has been widely promoted by influencers, celebrities, entrepreneurs, companies, and everyone who is involved with modern technology. Bitcoin is one of the most popular cryptocurrencies worldwide, and it is the leading currency that dominates the market. Therefore, it can be said that Bitcoin already has wide popularity, and I do not think there is an educated audience that does not know about this currency yet. In addition, this forum and other popular blogs and sites already have many educational articles and detailed explanations about Bitcoin and everything related to it. Frankly, the idea of creating ads by any group for Bitcoin could include suspicious links or scams, so anyone who wants to understand the crypto field should only rely on trusted sources.

What for? Promotion? Why? Doing such won’t do any good to this industry. Allow things to happen with governments and big companies. Advertisement will indeed encourage small investors but things would be the same to the extent of just more people will be too hopeful because of the idea of profit. Risk is still big due to market price volatility and that should be the bottomline. Remember the previous ATH wherein many people dove into crypto industry but regret it afterwards when dump took place. I’d prefer smaller number of investors but with enough knowledge to hande its nature than more bunch of people hoping to be a millionaire within a single day. Don’t get me wrong; I like the idea of more people getting interested in this technology but that depends on their intention and idea of what it actually is.

Isn't this forum already doing that? I mean, creating awareness. A lot of us got here through advertised links on different sites. Whether those articles were paid for or not is what I don't know. There may not be specific groups that collect money to promote Bitcoin but I know that certain individuals do that in their own capacity and that's to get the word out there about Bitcoin; again, to also promote their own affiliate businesses linked to Bitcoin. Whichever way, it's a win-win.

At this point I don't know if they are trying to make Articles with bitcoin or to make advertisements that they have to see with bitcoin, because they are very good, but something like that is no longer popular, because most people know that the best investment of all of it is with bitcoin, that the bathrooms, that any other institution is not the solution Because it is known that what brings the most Benefit is the bitcoin, for that reason we always do many things to be able to stay up to date with this , we follow the news a lot , we Read to see what we do or what they Recommend , I think that bitcoin no longer needs any type of advertising just to make people buy if they Want to be Millionaires.

Bitcoin does not have and never had any team, road map or marketing budget like other crypto projects. Any advertisement that you've come across in the form of promotional videos, branded tshirts, posters etc. were taken on by Bitcoin enthusiasts on their own. Bitcoin has a growing network effect and does not need some sorts of shill to gain traction. From 2012 to date, Bitcoin addresses with non zero balance have risen from 1 million to 42 million without a marketing budget, and that's organic.

I think there's none since its your own money that you would have to use to promote Bitcoin, so raising funds to promote Bitcoin doesn't sound convincing to other as they know that Bitcoin is already popular coin and widely spread. By being known independently, we could observe that Bitcoin has been already promoted lowkey by just simply mentioning the name "Bitcoin" as some would be curious. For example from movies, sometimes in the movie Bitcoin could be mentioned from doing illegal transactions (so far from movies I have watched) and some would explain it like from the Euphoria the series.

From that, it could already gather audience to be aware and acknowledge Bitcoin. Plus, in the internet you could already do a lot of things by just simply doing a video regarding Bitcoin, memes which is popular nowadays, and etc. And also you can spread the word individually like from your friends, which is very common way of promoting even from the past, which is orally passing information to everyone. Cause they would pass the information from one person to another.

There's none and there's no need to. Bitcoin's big enough that it could sell itself with little to no introduction. Anyone who says they will setup a bitcoin promotion should do this without the help of the people in here, I mean sure people could chip in and all that shit but the problem is that this has been used by scammers in the past to fool people into giving their money. Someone's going to say something along the lines of "hey, we're going to make a world-class bitcoin advertisement, but we would need your help financially", people will chip in their money, and the ad wouldn't come into existence cause the money's going to be taken away by these people. If you're going to promote bitcoin or whatever, do it free or do it out of your own pocket.
