This is so much not true. Why would we need a group to promote Bitcoin? For whom we should promote and what we can achieve with it. I have no clue what OP is thinking but you are definitely getting some wrong ideas for sure. Bitcoin never got promoted by anyone in the past nor its creator ever stepped in to talk about it. Haha.

Bitcoin is charm in itself and it has already reached crazy number of peeps over short course of time without marketing. It got its way up with only mouth to mouth publicity. Number of products that are dependent on bitcoin have also grown up (exchanges, share market, money market, other institutes). They already made it possible for bitcoin to become a platform of choice and it’s not possible without Bitcoin to run them. That’s how it self promotes.

Is there some group which collects funds for Bitcoin promotion?

What I know is not there. CMIIW.

If some group like this can create advertisements for Bitcoin, more people can become aware. Such mediums should be targeted which have reach on audience that is still not familiar with crypto.

Bitcoin which is already well known as today, no longer requires advertisements because the internet is already in the grip that is easier to find out information about Bitcoin.
Just take advantage of the search button, the information about Bitcoin will be available.
In my opinion, what is needed now is a group of people who can distinguish FUD information from the truth of information about Bitcoin amid the easy access room for information media.

About Bitcoin advertisement, read this post,
Back in those early days when Bitcoin first started, it was mostly getting talked about on cryptographic message boards, newsgroups and other online communities. It seemed really experimental and niche and the adoption was slow at first as people tried to understand what it was all about.

But over time, as more nerds and libertarians started getting into Bitcoin, it started getting articles written about it online and offline, and talked about in the news. People pitched it as an alternative to the traditional financial system where you had to deal with high fees from banks and credit cards and wait days for transfers. With Bitcoin transfers could be free and instant since everything is on a decentralized ledger. Of course, it still felt pretty experimental and risky back then. But the hype around Bitcoin grew as more people learned about its potential.

These efforts are individual and in voluntary, unpaid campaigns, you will find that they are far from coordinated, and if coordination takes place, it will be within limits other than financial limits. I do not think that there are paid campaigns for Bitcoin directly, but rather sometimes Bitcoin is mentioned in advertisements for altcoins or projects related to cryptocurrencies such as Binance, gambling services or other services related to Bitcoin.

In recent months, I have started to see Bitcoin either in sports club halls, or on billboards in stadiums, or being mentioned in some series and movies, so it does not need paid promotions.

Such group might exit, but I have never come in contact with anyone. But it is common to see crypto exchanges and other service providers include Bitcoin in their promotional activities. Most advertisements will always include the Bitcoin logo or name on their websites and social media platforms bitcoin is the most important cryptocurrency that will always be mentioned if you are discussing or dealing on cryptos.

It is also common to see presidents discuss Bitcoin and two nations have adopted Bitcoin as legal tender, El Salvador is standing with Bitcoin while sadly Central African Republic has repelled the law. The president of El Salvador Nayid Bukele has been steadfast regardless of the challenges and attacks he is facing from global actors. Presidential aspirants in the US and Argentina have also included bitcoin policies in their manifestos making it popular in the country.

There are also top business executives like Michael J. Saylor the Former CEO of MicroStrategy who are die-hard supporters of Bitcoin. They openly speak well about which also promotes Bitcoin.

Other genuine social media influencers have done a good job in promoting Bitcoin such as Andreas M. Antonopoulos. We also have reliable websites such as bitcointalk.org that give free Bitcoin educational services to the public. Don't forget that reputable members of the forum freely give information about the Bitcoin space, this is also a promotional endeavor. It is common to see people ask questions and receive quality answers from this forum. Individual members of the forum also engage in Bitcoin promotion, there are posts in the forum where members engage in awareness programs in their location.

I don't think there is really a need for a coordinated paid advertising for Bitcoin. Remember that Bitcoin experienced immense growth through the years with the power of the word of mouth. People are more powerful in spreading the good news of Bitcoin...plus we know that there is nothing more convincing than the idea that with Bitcoin one can be making big money in the long run. And then we also have many exchanges and they are advertising all over and their platforms certainly put a spotlight on Bitcoin as the top crypto-based asset. Now, having said that, maybe what we should instead focus on is educating people especially the youngsters - the future of any nation - to learn more on Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and the blockchain and the advantages they are bringing.

Bitcoin has gone beyond the level of promotion because so many people are aware that bitcoin is a digital gold and has good value, this is why the government is finding every means to see if they can centralize it but it is impossible. This is why SEC wants to approve Bitcoin ETF so that people can keep their bitcoin in a third party custody, which is wrong. Switch on your television and you will see the news of bitcoin all over the place. If you are think bitcoin must be promoted, then you can do it in your locality by teaching people the basic concept of bitcoin and the difference of bitcoin from altcoins, so that they don't end up investing blindly.

I believe almost everyone already heard "Bitcoin" terms somewhere whether it's related to scam, money laundering, illegal, ponzi scheme, get rich quick, investment or decentralization. If they're curious and want to learn about Bitcoin, they can use their phone to find any article or video related to Bitcoin.

So why Bitcoin is not yet achieve mass adoption? it's because many people still not willing to buy Bitcoin and it's completely fine since they have freedom to choose, similar like Bitcoin is decentralized and it's a freedom too.

It's a pretty stupid idea, to be honest. It seems that the person proposing it has no idea what bitcoin is all about, otherwise he wouldn't be proposing it.

dollar is not advertised but businesses using the dollar are.. those businesses advertise themselves
gold is not advertised but businesses using gold are.. those businesses advertise themselves

bitcoin doesnt advertise itself, but businesses using bitcoin do advertise themselves

Yes, and considering bitcoin as a commodity, it would be like someone collecting funds to promote wheat, oil or gold and not realising that it is the oil companies, jewellers or bakers who promote their own businesses, not the commodity.

Bitcoin is one thing that needs no advertisement. and I don't think there is any group that will fund you to promote bitcoin. Bitcoin is known all over the world and so far no alternative coin has come to the market. and every coin in the crypto market is based on Bitcoin. and since every company in the current market crypto coin and future coins support Bitcoin and they themselves use Bitcoin and depend on Bitcoin, Bitcoin advertising becomes automatic. So no organization or group will ever fund you to promote Bitcoin.  But those who are minded and loved bitcoin are likely to personally promote bitcoin themselves

Do we really need that if I may ask because bitcoin to me is generally known and there is no place or country that doesn't know about bitcoin, bitcoin is regularly mentioned in every local news channel especially television, radio station and many more. Most of the artist also includes it in their songs and social media are being spread and populated by bitcoin discussion and many more so having a fund for bitcoin promotion is like wasting funds because it's already been recognized what we are expecting is just for it to be legalized globally.

There may be a group that maybe into crypto advertisements, and it may be helpful for other altcoins because they are owned by group members who may be ready to pay for the advertisement of their token because they need people to invest in their projects, but in bitcoin, it doesn't work like that because Bitcoin is not a company that is owned and controlled by anyone. So if Bitcoin is not owned by anyone or a company that is there to pay for its advertisement, and by the way, I don't think Bitcoin should be advertised by any group before it can continue to gain awareness; Bitcoin has already gained more awareness, but the main problem Bitcoin is facing now that the rate of adoption is higher than our expectations is governments. If the government can legalize Bitcoin, you will see the rate of adoption increase rapidly.

It is not that people are not aware of Bitcoin, but because it is legalized in many countries, that is why people are not much into it because if they try it, they may serve punishment for that because it is against their country's laws, and that is why even people who are aware of it have not adopted it. The advantages of Bitcoin have spread its awareness everywhere among individuals that are into the system, so Bitcoin did not need any group to advertise it before it continued to become more familiar with it.

bitcoin doesn't need awareness , people needs education that this is not a scam or ponzi scheme, bitcoin is popular enough but most people think that it is scam or something.
so we need to make them know about benefits of bitcoin and blockchain technology,
they just hear others and take decisions if they were curious enough to learn more about bitcoin then they should been fan of bitcoin by now.

I think creating group ads can be an effective way to promote Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. However, it is important to be careful with advertising so that people's correct knowledge and beliefs are not mixed with false information. Also could use an interesting picture or chart on future Bitcoin projects. Ads can be published on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn etc. You can post ads on various cryptocurrency forums and communities, which can help gain exposure to relevant people, but I don't think it's necessary. Whereas Bitcoin is a volatile regulator as well as providing more knowledge and awareness among the people. Bitcoin itself is a powerful technology, which can help people pass more interests.

Such project is so expensive and will require funding. I don't know where funds can come from or if donation from forum like this one is enough. Nevertheless,  I understand a lot of people are already putting extra efforts at educating people about Bitcoin even from their immediate families and Communities. If more people can toe this line, the outreach will be wilder and more people will become aware of Bitcoin.

To be sincere, Bitcoin awareness have gone deeper than many of us can imagine, just that a lot of people who have heard about Bitcoin does not have sufficient knowledge that can make them start using and investing in Bitcoin; that extra push is what is missing.

Bitcoin  doesn't need to be advertised, Bitcoin is getting more awareness everyday and people don't need to be convinced to buy bitcoin because it is volatile and it doesn't make one to become rich quickly. People will get to know Bitcoin at their time which they will have more interest to consider understanding first and not to get rich from it. Their is no need to advertise Bitcoin because it is no man property, and it is getting more awareness so fast more than what you think. Bitcoin have already come this big without any advertisement,  their is no need to start advertising Bitcoin now.

You're absolutely right. People don't need to be convinced to buy Bitcoin, those investing in it are doing it because they see its value and potential. One reason why advertising Bitcoin might not be necessary is that its growth has been driven by its utility and value. Bitcoin is a decentralized and open source project that doesn't have a central authority that controls it and it's neither controlled by any company or government. It is built on a blockchain network which is maintained by thousands of computers around the world. This makes it resistant to censorship and control by any one entity. Since Bitcoin is decentralized, advertising it in the traditional sense would be very difficult. There's no one company or group that owns Bitcoin and can promote it. Op, if I may ask, do you want to sponsor the group for promotion?

If I wish to promote bitcoins, I will do it personally because it can be done and not want to donate or contribute funds to any group that claim to be for the promotion of bitcoins. I find it hard to trust these kinds of groups because they are sometimes never transparent with the amount of money that they receive and may not spend all the money they receive on the purpose for which it was donated to them.

Bitcoin is already big enough and it is different than altcoins, shitcoins that only rely on marketing to shill their shitcoins to investors, create pump and dump games to steal money, bitcoin from cryptocurrency investors.

Bitcoin does not need fund for marketing, promotion and do you think that it is always better to have organic growth?

Bitcoin has its organic growth because it has big developer communities who develop great things for Bitcoin users. If you want to support them, send your bitcoin, satoshis to their donation addresses.

Bitcoin is a currency/financial asset, not a product or service.
The crypto companies are advertising their own crypto services. They don't advertise Bitcoin, because they aren't making profits from selling Bitcoins(at least not all of them).
Bitcoin has gotten more than enough global recognition and more than enough free publicity in the last few years. Nowadays, almost every person, who has a computer and access to the internet has heard about Bitcoin at least once. That doesn't necessarily mean that the people, who have heard or read about Bitcoin will buy BTC right away.
