I read somewhere that the dev make it more inflationist. It's very bad for value. You have to compensate it with a lot of hype... but the hype during all this years it's very difficult to maintain.

As an investor (non-speculator, that is), the future of Dogecoin is bright due to it being technically sound for blockchain applications that depend on transactional quickness, cheap fees and the advantage of being affordable in whole amounts for the many (human factors' advantage). OP_RETURN allowing 80 bytes of data in transactions and multisig functionality is often all it takes to build value on top of a blockchain. So if Dogecoin once stabilizes on a higher and widespread level, it will enable innovation that is currently being held back by speculative whales and a possible political interest of keeping Dogecoin down in favour of coins that lack the sweetspot technology I'm looking for when contemplating blockchain innovation.
The future doge in my opinion still promising to be held. Whatever minus views members here about doge, I believe some of them have tasted (though not great) profits from doge prices. I just think doge condition now like a calm sea, which in time will happen very big waves.

I somehow like dogecoin, it's history is a nice read and a bit tragic.
In my opinion, I think the future of dogecoin is not good. As I know, it is a digital currency developed on the basis of Litecoin and derived from the idea of meme Doge at the end of 2013. It's been almost four years, but it does not seem to grow very well. Although its supply is quite large, trading volume is so much, but most of this currency is used mainly to donate online tips after someone posted useful or interesting information to the community net, it has quite few applications in the trade. This is just my opinion

I don't think so that Dogecoin has a future and i think that it was created as a joke but got very much famous and has got quite a lot cap value.It is just used to tip in reddit and nothing else and due to its large supply of dogecoin increase in price is not possible i think.And it will be always there in crypto market just as a joke and it won't increase or decrease and will be pretty much the same as the current price.
Yesterday one of my friend sent me some dogecoins, so out of curiosity i started digging information about how this coin work and how it is different from others as it is my first interaction with this Crypto-asset.
I found some interesting information regarding how it's origin is based on a popular internet meme and it's community active participation in various charity works and even in helping their fellow mates who lost their dogecoins in a cyberattack through various crowdfunding efforts, which is indeed appreciable.
If we specifically talk about speed of transactions - i have to say dogecoin is indeed fast. But the thing which caught my attention is there is no limit to its suppy, which means it is present in infinite amount.
Till today more than 100 billion dogecoins are in circulation. With as of today Oct-23-2017 , 1 DOGE = $0.00101075 .
We have been taught about price-supply-demand things in school , in simple terms a price of an asset will depend on demand in market and its suppy - if supply of an asset is more than demand price falls and if supply is less and demand in market is more then price of an asset increases. So we can relate this to the continous BTC price increase as demand for bitcoin is more and supply is limited which increases it's value.
Comming to the fact that dogecoins have no limit of supply i hardly think it can ever become an investment asset or a stable currency ever. I see some people on twitter who are investing in alt coins see it as an long investment on which i completely disagree.
If we want to see doge coin really succeed , here are my views what the developers should seriously take note of:
1. Limit its Supply:
More than 100 billion doge coins are in circulation with market cap of approx. USD 13.5 MIL . 100 billion is a big number and it's always increasing so unless community decide to limit it , i donot think it can attain any significant value in longterm.
2. Ok if we limit it - what will we do with existing coins?:
Solution to above problem is quite simple. We just need to publish a new Crypto-token or currency which will derive it's value from previous currency in circulation. For Ex: Let the new currency be called Super Dogecoin denoted by S-DOGE. As per our convenience we can set it's base value like 1 S-DOGE could be equal to 1000 or 10K or say even 100k DOGEs . So not just it will decrease the numbers of coin but will also hold significant value. And this new currency could also be listed to the exchange if needed.

is dogecoin actually legit? i dont think it's made seriously to have a purpose. It's like litecoin with some minor changes. Dogecoin is a coin used for tipping. Widely used in reddit. It doesn't get any further than that. It was a meme coin, had its peak, it's the first tipping coin infact. Don't expect it to grow huge, because it won't. All I do with dogecoin is have fun with it, because it has no real purpose after all.
doing something in order to get token tips is a good idea but how about the value of Dogecoin? Bitcoin wasn't expected to grow huge so we can't surely conclude a statement that underestimate an underdog. Dogecoin has the future as developers say so, and in fact, they're not staying as a reddit tipping and every investors are also excited to get more out of reddit tipping.
I dont see any good future of the dogecoin, becuase it is not very popular and i think many people depends only in bitcoin thats why they dont know any coins they only knew bitcoin, and dogecoin even me i have limited ideas on dogecoin.
Even though this is a joke coin it will always be here to stay!

The doge coin price is now low level,with time it can increase in future.
Dogecoin could get to lower than 1 satoshi while people will still talk about Doge being the next Bitcoin in the reddit website lol.

Low doge was at 18 sat whan btc price was around 1000$ and there is around 18 sat now whan btc prce is at 7000$,doge is stable and is gaining to dollar ,if btc correct there is always chance for doge pump

Looking at the doge/bitcoin chart, it looks like Doge is in the accumulation stage that precedes a pump.

It came from a meme. And the meme is a joke just like the coin. Like op said, supply is too much. The only use I can see for dogecoin is for tipping.

This coin really has a lot of great things in it. And if were to be remade would clearly be an amzing coin.
But the thing is, (truth hurts) it really doesn't have anything left going on with it anymore. It is now just a coin tha is having too little to no value at all that you can play with. It had it's own share of great days in the past but just like other toys, got left out and replaced by better ones. That's just how it is. But who know? Nothing's sure in life. So...
