Would a fund of GAIA coins help at all to encourage value to be created within the platform?
I would consider donating a fair amount if the community would be behind such an effort.
Not trying to throw money at a problem, but to foster future development. If something like this would be a help, and not just a distraction, we should be considering it. A large portion of our coins are held by the top 10 wallets. If we all do our part to put some of that into development, and other things that create value, our smaller portions will be worth multiples higher than what we use for development / awareness campaigns.
Maybe we can offer some coins as reward for developers who put out products that are used by the community. Like once x is reached, they get x award.
Something to incentivize development I would be for at this stage.
I like this idea but then with a coin basket and the coins can be transfered into each other in the gaiaplatform and after that participate into SuperNet. I offer 10% exchange of EnergyCoin in return of x% of Gaiacoin to create the POS-coin basket. Also HyprStake, MunneCoin can be part of the coinbasket traded on Gaia platform. We have asked Coinswap to de-list GAIA as a show of support for the community at large.
This is by no means directed at Ian, Jared, and Jeremy, as we hold a lot of respect for them.
This is a message to GAW, that we will not stand by and watch people lose their life savings on
false promises without us making our voice heard. How this drama unfolds remains to be seen,
please always be vigilant when making investments and do proper research. We hope GAW does
something to stop the bleeding, but I am afraid the damage is already done.

I think the problem is with GAIA
As far as i have seen, there is no problem with GAIA
The non ICI buy orders are very thin.
No much sell orders but when the price goes to 800 Satoshi Whale is selling big.

Why does bitcoin have to take so long to receive from coinbase! I am waiting on the btc price to drop to my price target to scoop some up. Would be buying GAIA at this price hand over fist. Oh well, maybe it will slip through the cracks 1 more week, though I doubt it!

I put each day low buy orders of 2-4k and they are filled each time.
I think the problem is with GAIA there is a BIG whale buying at ICO 50% of coins or so and he regret so try to sell his share when price goes up.
GAIA is making a very nice innovative wallet and platform so no reason to sell but where are the BIG buyers?
It is relative save to invest because the huge buy walls but that is ICO fund and not from new investors.
I have a great idea for cooperation between interesting POS coins and create value for these coins.

almost every ico coin has a few "whales" that buy in and dump when they think it's profitable and buy back when the price dips, so do pow coins but the so called whales just rent huge hash power to get their big % of coins. hopefully they sell them off as the price bounces up and down like it does and move on to another coin.
lol where are the big buyers? probably pumping the latest coin they choose to pump with their group or just following pumps solo... so looks like they're moving from xpy to sbit right now... most who call themselves "whales" are looking for coins to trade short term to make as much money trading as quick as they can before they move on to the next coin... much diff than actual "investors"
and thanks to all the altcoin scams most "new investors" getting into crypto are more than a lil hesitant to buy into a new coin only to find out it was just a bunch of scammers circle jerking the coin to keep the price up like so many... thankfully sounds like a few of them are starting to get charges against them lol hopefully a bunch end up in jail
then more real investors will come into altcoins and take them seriously lol real investors barely trust BTC at this point.I'm more happy with the way GAIA continues to put out quality than I would be if they were obsessing about being on the front page of trex or the price

i see there was some movements on bittrex today : we are now in the 700 and very soon 800 I guess
btw, i also had the "long path" issue when extracting the new wallet, but I've ignored like you told us and the wallet is working nice.
