I'm not into coding at all or I'd make a bunch of skins... is there a way for someone like me to easily make them? but I had a few idea's for them

a "GTA" "Grand Theft Auto" skin (one of the most played games out there... huge following)

any other game that has a crazy big following.

Music based ones, classical to pop to rock to hiphop etc

animal based ones... horses, kittens/cats, dogs etc

more movie based ones like the Hobbit, starwars etc

WWE ones are a must... one of the biggest fan bases going, some of their performers have 10's of millions of followers on facebook/twitter... if there were CM Punk etc skins for people to tweet pics of (especially during events) same goes for the UFC.

I don't know if they'd infringe on copy right laws, but as long as their free skins I can't see it being an issue.

just some idea's, the more GAIA can appeal to the masses the better Wink

First, pick an irc client. webchat.freenode.net is a simple one. Here are instructions for it:

TO REGISTER: (only need to do this once)

1.) go to the "status" or "freenode" tab at the top of your IRC screen

2.) type the following: /msg NickServ REGISTER {your pw} {your email address}

3.) NickServ will send you a confirmation email with more instructions. Basically,

4.) type the following: /msg NickServ VERIFY REGISTER {your user id} {verify code from email}

That should do it!

Every time we are on the verge of a new release I feel like we are just starting over.
Paid apps is a major step forward for GAIA to mark it's entry into e-Commerce adoption.
Making instant purchases in wallet, a framework for developers to offer new apps/games/music/Ebooks/merchandise ...
With a built in alt payment processing system, that will allow eventually conversion to FIAT/BTC, and vice versa.

I would like to point out that the alt payment system will work with GAIA currency at first as we do not have a FIAT conversion
exchange for GAIA yet. We have spoken with Bittrex and Cryptsy, FIAT will be added to Bittrex soon, so that will open up that option
for us, we are also waiting on Cryptsy add.

GAIA e-Commerce platform will be released within the next 24 hours, some last minute UI improvements are taking place now.
Please have some GAIA currency in wallet for testing. After the release we will take a break from coding to celebrate the New Year, and start work on some
very important apps/games to show off the capabilities of the platform.

We were more focused on the framework than anything else at this time to make sure we keep up with our roadmap, however, the work we will do as we go
forward will be much easier. You will notice that some changes in wallet that will occur instantly without user/interference. This will not pose any security risk
to you as some changes will involve the e-Commerce part, just like when you go to AppleStore or GooglePlay. Some changes will involve the UI, but never the block chain.

Will we make another release? Yes, due to the fact we did not make all the exchanges yet, some FIAT/BTC conversion features are not enabled,
but that will give us more time to test and improve. There is a lot that can be added to GAIA now that we are done with the e-Commerce framework structure,
to name a few, auctions, classified ads, gaming extensions/apps, etc...

GAIA will be more open source, we will provide info for developers to build apps for the GAIA appstore, we will also update the github with more info on how things can be done.
GAIA will be an ever developing platform, even without the core devs. While the other Devs will work on GAIA Apps after getting some rest for the new year, I will hit the
promotional front.

The apps that will carry a price in GAIA now are only for testing purposes. It will show how the GAIA appstore will function and how app developers will get paid.
There is a lot more to say here, but will keep some for later.
No need to remind everyone about our New Year party in #gaiacoin on IRC tomorrow.
