Any community members have ideas on what we can do to create awareness to coincide with the launch of appstore?

This coin is only lacking awareness. The investors in this coin should take a few minutes and make a post of why you like the coin, why you want to use it, what the reasons are that this is different.

Does this coin have disrupter capability? I believe so. We are just short on awareness, and 1 imminent appstore release to find out what this coin is really about. To make this coin a success, the awareness has to increase by a significant measure. Step up and create awareness, support the project if you believe in it.

I don't know of many applications that you can cross platforms on, from mobile, to desktop. I know that platforms usually disagree with each other creating ecosystems within each system.

Think of andoid (google) IOS (apple) Neither of which you can use on a desktop PC. Now you have GAIA, which will use browser based technologies that can be used in many different applications. Adding cross platform ability would be the disrupting piece of this puzzle that will create longterm value.

GAIA Platform will be the first applications that you can bring to your desktop, to your mobile phone, and back again. The potential power of these cross platform applications is being under appreciated in the marketplace.

Price stuck at 5xx  Angry
Looking another drop to pick cheaper price, and average down.

Smart move, average down your cost and maximise your profits which will come. Good move

I been in a coin with a lot of the same properties, ect. Its price was roughly the same, and the innovation is better here. That coin eventually reached over 100x its initial trading range in just a few months after launch, after about a month of sideways trading.

You need to get in on coins early, before the manipulators get involved. Take more chances, with less bitcoin. Put a small amount into GAIA, and other coins during the infancy and work to increase awareness. You can get this below the ICO price, with potential to be a browser based application that could work very well with mobile.

The technology here, if these developers are capable to deliver can be very important to virtual currency adoption to the mobile market. If these devs are just pumpers, or con artists, than so be it. If they are legit and get this update out to much fanfare, this could be the best deal you will get this holiday season.

I know what was on my shopping list. And currently at even 560 satoshi, you are getting 20% discount from the ICO price. I don't see waiting much longer being a good play, but hey. We will need a lot of people to chase this price up when people realize its significantly undervalued.

A few days are left until Ecommerce Appstore. Timing couldn't be better. Peak holiday retail season is a great time to release a Ecommerce platform. If we all work to create awareness to coincide with the launch we can do great things together. Everyone needs to start working on awareness. 1, 2 people. Start getting people involved in this project.

So many coins have gone from nearly nothing, to be something. This coin has such potential. We all hold the keys to unlock this value. Lets get to work!

In the wallet tab, whats the validate address option for??

I went into address book and found my address. Can I just send my coins to it now or is there anything else I need to do?

Is there a wallet dat anywhere??

You can send your coins to the address shown in your wallet.

wallet.dat resides in the /gaiadata subdirectory.

After you send your coins to your wallet, copy wallet.dat and save in on another drive or usb drive.

It is always good to backup wallet.dat after deposits and staking payouts.

Many thanks for your help.
Im well and truly stuck here though.
Ive never used a wallet like this before.

This will be a brand new wallet. So total clean instal so:

I don't suppose I could trouble you for a step by step guide as to how do to it? Ive always used qt wallets before so this is new to me.

I love the concept of Gaia and bought around 100000 coins over the last couple of days and at the moment they are sitting doing nothing so I would really like to get them staking.

Manythanks C

I use Windows and this is how I installed the wallet:

First, I made a new directory: C:\GAIAcoin-win-1.0.1

Then, I unzipped my Gaia wallet .zip file into the new directory (right click file, extract to {new directory}.

If contents get put in a subdirectory, just move them.

Locate GAIA application and double click it to launch.

This should start the coin daemon (launcher) and your wallet (in a browser.)

Allow the wallet to synchronize. Refresh it until blocks read greater than 29388 (current block as of this message.)

You are now ready to transfer your coins into the address shown under "wallet/address book".

Keep your wallet unlocked (default) and it will begin to stake in about four hours.

Hope this helps.

Welcome to the GAIA community!

We will need a lot more of these, set your Theme on Thanksgiving or Christmas and show us your wallet.

#thanksgiving theme, as requested.

Thanks for my staking wallet. It has created over 350 gaia, so far.   Cool
Ok...Question.I have open wallet with nice amount and is showing  like this "staking  true "  " weight  57 "  " stake  0 "
What I'm doing wrong that " stake is showing 0 " .Second  how safe is keeping open wallet with active internet ?

Once your wallet starts staking, it will build weight, then when a POS block is found the amount of coins staked will move under stake area, and it will no longer be 0.
As far as wallet open with active internet, the wallet does not need the browser tab open to work, you can close it anytime, as long as launcher is on in system tray you are fine.
Thank you .I'll pay attention for my staking

We got a big release coming any day now. Any updates, or things being worked on that the community can be aware of, or help with? We got a few bitcoin volume per day. This will need to increase significantly if we want Gaia to reach widespread adoption.

I have been posting on twitter, and doing other small things to start working on awareness. Everyone can do a small part, to work toward something much larger!

We are working on the appstore initial release, we have been very busy on the development front, and it will show when RC1 is out.
I mentioned more than once, this project is here to stay, we will not let go. We are also working on making things better, based on
user reviews/inputs. There is so much that can/will be done with the GAIA platform. What we have done thus far is plant the  seed,
that tree will grow and branch out.
Thank you .Great help
