Addictions to gambling cannot be resolved as long as gambling still exists, to avoid gambling addiction is to eliminate all forms of gambling, we know it will not be possible. I only know, if you want to leave gambling, then you have to have activities that are outside of gambling, so you will gradually leave gambling. I used to be a gambling addict for more than two years, my days have always been gambling, but with strong determination and high self-awareness, I can reduce gambling even though I still gamble but can still control.

I don't think age has any effect on gambling addiction. Personally, I have an opinion that, people who have more free time are prone to gambling addiction. They just start playing for fun and eventually finds difficult to get rid of it.

Maybe experience can help us to stay away from addicition with the young people the experience of life may not be found at most time but if some one having much free time to spend they will be addicted to something for example if we are spending time with social media then it be our daily routine to check the social media every morning so which is an addiction so it same applies to gambling too.

The adolescent is the period when curiosity is at the highest rate. It is essential to guide the teenager on the right path. The problem is when the teenager is being directed to the bad societies and toxic friends. Bad habit will rule them. It needs societies and especially their parent to break the habit.

I meant it is just a regular thing to help the gambler addiction with their beloved one to make them easier to quit.

No one can be blamed in today's gambling progress, it is true that gambling addiction is very much experienced by young people now they play as they please without thinking of anything beyond that, the environment greatly influences people's thinking, gambling will be very good if they use it with well and if not it will have a negative impact on a child's life easily, depending on how they work.
The reason is online gambling because young people play gambling from their bedrooms and their elders don’t know about this. They cannot stop them from gambling. Therefore I will blame online gambling for this. Young people who care for their parents will never visit physical casinos because if their parents do not allow them, they will never gamble in casinos.

I honestly blame games like pubg or fortnite or similar.

It all started with people gambling on cs:go and the weapons of sorts, there was kids who gambled with their skins on guns and suddenly it moved to people betting on esport games of cs:go tournies and in return get bigger skins and was capable of selling them on steam as well. That moved to fortnite and pubg and they started to this "cases" or so.

Mind you these are kids as little as 10-12 years old. They use their tablets and pc's to play games but their gambling starts there. Now those kids are growing up and of course started to gamble themselves.
100% agree with this. Not only csgo but dota 2 too, because dota 2 players can bet his items on a match too, back then when esports betting was not popular. I have a friend who like that, because of dota 2 betting, he moved to betting on sports betting.

If the "young people" in that report are the ones who depends from their parents and receives money from them (parents) and use to gamble then more likely the reason why they are addicted to it is because they don't know the value of money yet, they didn't earn it. Once they started earning and they learned that earning money is hard, they will consider slowing down on gambling or maybe take it out of their system if they don't earn enough.

I like your optimistic prediction. Surely most of them will behave as you said, but unfortunately from 3% to 5%, and this is still a big amount, will end up with a gambling addiction of some kind. And we have to do everything we can to make the percentage lower. Recently I watched a video telling that even heroin addiction can be conquered with friendly environment. In short, be friends with your kids, care about them, talk to them openly, and thus you will increase the chances of them not being addicted to anything.

The urge to participate in risky activities is an intrinsic part of moving into adulthood. Take gambling from them, and the same adolescents will start doing drugs, alcohol, engage in random sex etc. Also, they are extremely sensitive in this age, so you can't fake it for them, you can't just feed them with "simulated gambling and other forms of gambling-like behaviors", like the article suggests, because that would be a pill they won't swallow. They need something real. They want to do something what adults really do, and not just average adults, but the most daring ones, from their point of view.

In short, eradicating a problem, gambling in this instance, you can cause more problems to emerge, which are more severe than the eradicated one. So, forbidding your child to gamble or to drink beer, think twice with what he/she can replace it.
Excessive effort to make money. If you run out of money, gambling addicts won't stop. He would instead look for ways to earn more money, even in an excessive way. The most extreme way to try is to borrow money from loan sharks or steal.
The consequences of gambling in young people are that they become patients of depression, hypertension, loneliness etc. in young age. it is because they spend most of their time in online gambling. They want to make extra money for their enjoyment and that is the bad thing because when they have no money they can do illegal activities for getting some money.

Young generations are exposed early to internet especially to online games or online casinos. At their young age, they become addicted to it and it also lead to distraction to them so they cannot focus in their studies. Unlike 90's kids, there are no online games yet. They used to play their toys, dolls, meet other kids like their neighborhood and bond with them.

This almost made me laugh. Only it's not funny that adolescents of the 90's were not even close to what you've described. Ever heard of drug and alcohol use? What about ultraviolent youth gangs spawned in the cities of Europe and America during the 90's? What about very young people engaging in mindless sex in order to show to their peers that they are "old and brave enough"? No, they weren't playing dolls and toys, and what would be worse for them, online gambling or the above mentioned activities is a big question.

After recent changes to the merit system, I am trying to do something useful and contribute to the forum. And this is what I collect, hopefully it will change my merit.

This is an article about that, a gambling disorder in most young people
- https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5841330/
As stated in the article, experts and analysts know the causes and issues that lead to gambling addiction, they have clearly spoken about the dangers, consequences, and effects of gambling on the nerves and health of a person then there is a series of methods to stop that. But we are still here very clearly, the number is still increasing significantly every year, it has no signs of diminishing, even rising dizziness.

And the problem here is I want to ask why that happens? All the information is complete but people still can not solve the gambling addiction problem, the analysis is useless or our greed still dominates all.

Please let me know your opinion on this issue and if you have enough power, what would you do to solve this

The majority of internet technology knowledge is controlled by young people because the power of their thinking is still good and easy to understand, and most of those who play gambling are young people who are easily hypnotized because they don't think about important things and they just think about what pleasure more that they can enjoy besides playing games, what else can produce like online gambling or whatever they will be interested in and try to win it.
Technological development greatly influences the generation of young people, but everything depends on them and the good or bad they feel themselves.

I agree many young people are now into gambling addiction, they started betting on a well known game until apparently grows into a more complex way of gamble. In fact even here in cryptos I see a lot of students who plays online casino, though some of them confess this has help them to earn additional income to support their finances but some even go on a wrong way that instead of studying  they used their spare time to gamble. I guess this is where the future leads our society.

Basically humans want to get everything easily and with little effort. That is why, even though gambling has given a bad example to its fans, gambling has never lost its interest. Greed and laziness are still dominant.

I have the feeling that  this is becoming more of a trend now with more young people and more time on their hands, they can easily be turned into such societal orders, taking up gambling.
It is because the younger generations nowadays are much more internet savvy as compared to the older generations, and they are also much more willing to learn about new technologies, since there are so many online casinos that are allowing the gamblers to wager with crypto-currencies, some of the younger generations might start to play on the site when they saw online casinos appearing in google search, they might get themselves seriously addicted to gambling without any self control as it just requires an internet connection for them to start gambling.

Excessive effort to make money. If you run out of money, gambling addicts won't stop. He would instead look for ways to earn more money, even in an excessive way. The most extreme way to try is to borrow money from loan sharks or steal.

We are talking about adolescents here,  young people between ages 10 and 19. In most cases people from this age group are living with their parents and they don't need to earn money for buying food, paying bills etc. They just want to become like adults as soon as possible, and that's why they engage in activities like drinking alcohol, taking drugs, gambling etc. That's what "cool adults" do from their point of view.

In my opinion the main reason for this is online gambling because now there is no need to go to a physical casino and back to home late at night. Your elders will definitely ask you where are you coming from. On the other hand even a student can play online gambling from his bedroom and nobody will know about it. Online gambling provided them this facility and that’s why the number is increasing day by day.

If they weren't into gambling they would ... Please read my post, which you have quoted. It's not a matter of whining about increasing number of young gamblers. This is a serious and complicated problem which we are trying to solve here.

First of all, as @Patatas and @The Pharmacist have said, it is better not to say that you are writing for merit. Although I don’t think it is merit begging, the way you state it. Most of us want merit, even people who don’t wear paid signatures, because it is a recognition that their contribution to the forum is positive. So, keep contributing to the forum, never mention merit, and eventually you’ll get some.

As for the addiction of young people, it think nowadays mobile phones play a big role. You can bet 24/7 from you mobiles: sports, poker, roulette... Years ago, to become addicted to playing roulette you had to go to the casino where people would see you, so it wasn’t as easy to get addicted. Nowadays you only need you finger. And you even can ask for instant online loans when you are chasing to recover your losses, which makes things even worse.

“Young people” here means “young males” in 99% of the cases, as they have more testosterone, and tend to control their impulses worse than older people.
