Just curious to read some addict or former addict stories and probably some of us like me will be glad to see how things actually did roll in for them during this period and I believe some other persons tending towards that path can also learn from it. Also, if you have a friend or relative you can speak for, it would be appreciated.

Personally, this is what I would like to know though.

1. How did you find yourself ending up to become an addict? What instigated it to the point that you just found yourself not being able to control the impulse any longer? What was the feeling like and during those period of being an addict, did you know and were you willing to pop out of it?

2. What were the steps you took or the steps you are taking to get out from it, and on the scale of 1 to 10, how can you rate how you are doing now?

3. For those who are out of it, do you still gamble or still wish you could? In the case where you are still gambling, how do you want to make sure what happened initially does not end up repeating itself.

4. Any other thing you feel you can add is welcome.
Gambling addiction stories . in gambling addiction no one can stop you even of you don't have money you will find a way to have none and plate gambling but this is bad to your health yoi can get a sick because of gambling.

Thee are many gambling stories out there, some good , some sad yet we still make new addicts every day. I don't think the sad stories alone will get future addicts to stop but rather the society must offer hope such that if I know I can earn say 50$ by washing plates for 48 hours I will rather make my 50$ that way and not through gambling.

In washing plates you are sure you will be getting 50$ but in gambling either you can make the same amount or lose out completely depending upon the luck and the game which you will bet on. People who have excess and lose out is fine but for needy it is quite bad.

Yeah right, but most of those who choose  gambling and play with luck are people who mostly in need, they chooses this venue to try multiplying their money and most of the time ending it up losing as time passed and greediness will eat them up, a lots of stories has been shared here about this type
of failures and it didn't change anything, maybe for people who still have a good mindset, its far better to work to earned than wasting your time and
lose choosing gambling to make money.

That is some point there bro and I must say a lot of people that got addicted one way or the other found themselves trying to see how they can set up themselves for life by acquiring wealth from gambling with the little they have, but that is a very grave mistake a lot of them end up making at the end.

Addiction stories start from the point where the person decided to see something meaningful in gambling when it comes to making money and decided not to face the reality that comes with losing in gambling, and if such a person fail to admit to that reality, getting addicted becomes inevitable at the end. There are so many ways to earn, but because people keep looking for shortcuts to success, they always end up getting screwed in the process.
Luck is just a factor in gambling and not a guarantee for winning the game. My friends who are gambling adductors told me several times that they even lost very easy and simple games not in casinos but in sports betting. It is their luck and sometimes they won unbelievable games, it is also their luck but mostly they look the performance of the tram and then bet.

I got a friend who can't live without gambling even for a day,he is much older than me and he is working in a company and getting salary to cover his life expenses but he got the desire to be a richer person so he tr gambling everyday and he hoping that someday he will be a millionare but he is just losing all his hard earned money.

Hoping to become a millionaire from gambling is a false expectance and the risk will definitely be so high. With this hope it means that he will continue to try until his dream is achieved and that can take a very long time. Or even he could fall bankrupt before his ambition were reached.

It will only for the chosen one who can become a millionaire from gambling but for the other people, is only a big dream which they cannot achieve if they don't have luck. His ambition will ruin his life without any chance to get what he lost before. It will never give a good result unless he becomes addicting in gambling.

That is a wrong thought. In fact, today many people experience destruction in their lives when deciding to play gambling. Many sad stories when someone tells about gambling games. Wealth is not a thing that can be obtained from a fortune, wealth and success is achieved from the hard work of the person. So a very influential gambling from luck can never make someone successful !!!! Please understand the risk and when we can avoid gambling games we can get closer to a bright future.

It always starts like that, gambling for a day, then gamble every week. When it's payday, a percentage of the salary that he/she is going to cover his gambling expenses. I think nothing is wrong with that unless it hinders you to other priorities like the utilities and bills. It's always like that for the people who get addicted, and they forgot what they should be doing in the first place.

You can be a millionaire in gambling, and you have to have luck. That's not something we cannot control. We should learn from one another where the pain experienced by others, like losing a lot of money through gambling, should serve as a lesson. You don't have to go through too, learn from the mistakes.

We cannot equate gambling with formal work, even though I am not a gambler but I feel gamblers have chosen their way of life as possible, because they know how bad gambling if they lose, and from that loss they continue to gamble and keep trying to earn / seek profit from gambling even though they realize it is very difficult.
Gambling story will always be a sad story because gambling itself is bad thing and the related stories will also be bad. You cannot expect something good from gambling and gamblers. Both are ulcer for the society. I have also many gambling stories but not my own because I am not gambler and I think that gambling is the worst thing in the world and I cannot waste my money and time in gambling.

We will make money through gambling only when we have enough luck, as you can see sometimes we may make higher amounts in order to start continuously gambling. Once they are making money they will start addicting to it.

Mine started out while I was bored at worked during 2013 rush times. Mtgox was getting killed by complaints and it wasn't fully closed yet and people were having hard time cashing out their money so it was starting out. I got into bitcoin, made about 2 bitcoins or so and cashed some of it out, I sold some of my game characters for money and honestly just decided to gamble that money away at work because I was super bored in front of a PC all day everyday constantly.

Thankfully, I had a great boss who let me gamble, play games and watch shows at work because he knew I was doing a good job but one day I lost all of it on a martingale loss streak and just did not return to gambling for years.
You didn't know actually that you had bet all your money? If you are bored and wants to gamble to kill boredom, just gamble little amount just for entertainment, that is a lesson learned for you.

I hope that he can get the important lesson on his story and in the next time he played gambling, he doesn't use all of the money as a bet. And don't playing gambling when you are bored because you will get a loss in quickly and you didn't even realize for that. Perhaps, by using a small amount will make us prevent from the big loss so we can think that if we continue playing gambling, we will lose all the money.
One day I bet with my friend on a football match between Germany and Brazil. I bet that Brazil will win the match because it was my favorite team but unfortunately Brazil lost the match and I lost the bet. In that day I realize that I am not lucky in betting and leaved sports betting. But I have never gambled in casinos or online because I know the consequences of gambling.

The thing actually is that there is no shortcut to success and that is something a lot of people always fail to reason and realize and all they are just busy looking for is to be able to make a huge gain and profit from gambling, which is usually the main thing that sets them up for addiction actually.

Addiction is not something that usually just occurs immediately as it is a gradual thing, and it all starts from the mindset you started with towards gambling and as long as you get yourself engrossed in the activity with such mindset and you get hooked, getting out of it will always become a problem in the long run.

I used to gamble everyday ,morning until dawn with my friends or neighbors, at first all I want was to enjoy myself but later on even how many times I loss still I keep on coming back hoping that I can win. I've been a iresponsible mother with my son and depend my responsibilities to my parents. I onced pawned my jewelries or valuable things just because of gambling that's how addicted I am in gambling now I am thankful that I can control my addiction. Yes, I still play but it is not like before I know my priorities and I do not want to risk my family just because of gambling.

Sad to hear your stories but I know that is the norm for most addictive gambling because I know a lot of people with similar stories. Families are shattered, life are broken because that one gambling bet that we did in the past will haunt us for the rest of our lives.

I'm glad that I didn't go that far though, was able to control before its too late, although the damage has been done on my end, I was able to repair it and just gamble when I have the time and just having fun and not totally wanted to look at it as a 'daily job".

When I was starting in crypto life I able to earn good in my basic trading life. My friends taught me some of the things we must know in trading. I able to earn a quite good in it yet I knew about gambling. I tried it once and then I'm glad because I won high amounts. I become greedy in earnings so that I continued to play everyday and then one day ending up losing all of my money.
This is called regular gambling and addiction. I also spent many nights with my friends but not gambling instead play card games without any bet. That was the best days of my life. All friends got together and spent happy moments of life. I remember those days, but know everything is changed and now we have children and family and working all the time for them.

Out of not being sensible, a lot of people have always equated gambling with normal work and some would even tell you it is an investment and as long as you stay positive and you are persistent, the chances of profiting from your investment is going to be huge.

With this kind of mentality, they end up getting totally overwhelmed with their thoughts of getting rich hugely with gambling to the point that when they start getting addicted, coming out of it becomes a serious thing. Addiction don't usually just start over night, it takes consistency in doing what is affecting your mental state and then becoming a part of it totally.
