1.The creator of this test must put some "trick questions" because many gamblers would lie when doing such tests.
A "trick question" is a question whose answers might contradict with the answers of other questions, so that the survey creators might find out which gamblers is lying and which one tells the truth.
2.Answering the questions with yes and no isn't enough for an accurate measurement of the gambling addiction.
Many polls have questions, in which the survey participants have to evaluate their answers from 1 to 5.
Like "How likely are doing to a casino, after you have lost a big amount of money?" and the users have to pick a number from 1 to 5.
Anyway, creating such test is a great idea.

Most of choices are "NO" but still ending up on having Moderate Indication of Gambling AddictionCheesy

I agree into some words above that being honest is sometimes its really hard. There are indeed questions could really be answ0ered neither Yes or No.LOL0
In general, i do play when i do get bored which means i do seek for leisure but there are times which greeds do activates. hehe

We are all addicts... when we do things we like we need to be addicted, more or less. I believe most of us play comfortably, but I agree that there's some greediness in each of us, and it turns on more or less often. Moments of heat and passion... and not-so-rational thinking.

In the end, I think that it all comes down to the simple question, can you afford to spend money on gambling? Those who can afford to play & lose will gamble for fun and entertainment, and those who risk what they can afford to lose will face consequences, sooner or later.

The thing is.... people with a gambling addiction or any addiction cannot be helped, until they acknowledge that they have a problem. A test like this will be ineffective if they do not answer these questions truthfully.

Also, some people "ignore" their gambling problem, even if it is thrown in their face. They find several excuses for their behavior and tell people that it is just harmless fun, while Rome is burning around them.

Enjoy the test and be 100% truthful with you answers.  Wink
yes of course this will work with honesty and all people who feel themselves as active gamblers don't ever test this if you don't want to be honest because with honesty of course this test will work, if you get bad test results from this site at least they can find someone to be able to change the mindset to gamble wisely and responsibly in the future.

I can't upload the screenshot, but result shows that I have little or no gambling addiction.
Everything was in the negative except for the fact that I usually gamble to cover up for a lost gamble.
I try to curtail unnecessary waste of finances but I can't cut gambling, understanding that gambling is not a win-win but a win lose, I'll not feel bad at a lose instead try to cover it up.

Gambling Addiction Test (Self-Assessment) : https://www.psycom.net/gambling-addiction-test

Here’s the question for the test for easy reference, You will need to answer it on the website to see the result.
1. Do you spend lots of time thinking about gambling or planning a gambling activity?
2. Do you need to gamble with increasing amounts of money to feel excited?
3. Do you unsuccessfully try to cut back on your gambling?
4. Do you feel irritable or restless when you try to limit your gambling?
5. Do you lie to loved ones about your gambling habits?
6. Has gambling interfered with your work, school, or relationships?
7. After losing money gambling, do you often return to it with the intention to make up for the loss or break even?

BTW, My personal result is Mild Indication of Gambling Addiction.
8. Do you have to ask others to bail you out of financial troubles due to gambling?
9. Do you ever gamble when you feel anxious, sad, helpless or guilty?

I started to gamble in 2014. I quit gambling for a year, in September 2019 and started to gamble again in September 2020. I lost and I stopped gambling again until the beginning of 2021 when I know that I have control over it.
does this mean that if you're at the losing end again, you'll go on another 1year break to get yourself right??
While taking a break is necessary, I do not think it should be as consistent as you make it plus, try mastering your bets to avoid loses.

You can use the attached link for 3 minutes gambling addiction test and share the result by sending screenshots on the comment section.
I didn't take a screenshot of the assessment results, but the conclusion is Little or No Indication of Gambling Addiction and hope it's accurate.
However, the question remains whether this test is accurate enough to predict if someone is addicted to gambling or not, and whatever the results of this test are, we know best whether we are in the addiction category or not. If you are addicted, it would be better to seek help immediately before it becomes too late and it will be increasingly difficult to escape.
Gambling should be done with full awareness so that it will not cause addiction.

My result is also 'little to no gambling addiction' which I didn't need a test to find out. But I imagine that if many of us get the same result, it is partly because most people gamble responsibly and partly because perhaps those who have problems with gambling are more reluctant to take the test.

Most probably there were no gambling addicts around here, because those people were too busy thinking about their gambling habits rather than answering these questions lol.
Sometimes we tend to avoid the questions to the things which are obvious and we deny it as we thought it's still under our control, just like how a lot of people got addicted with cigarettes and liquor.
However, these test are pretty basic but a good early indicator of such addiction.

1. No.
2. I don't gamble more with a lot of money.
3. I managed to reduce my gambling during this time.
4. I don't feel upset or anxious when I try to limit my gambling and I don't even feel anything when I limit my gambling.
5. I am not lying about my gambling habits.
6. Gambling does not interfere with my life at all.
7. After losing money gambling, I would not go back for a while and never thought about making up for the loss or breaking even because it must not have been easy for me.

I got "Little or No Indication of Gambling Addiction". I thought i would be at least mild case but i think that investing into crypto is flling a lots of my gambling needs these days. As it's hard to crash zero doing that and it lasts longer then my weekly slots fund.

I am not sure if i was completely honest to myself on that test and maybe my closest friends would see my answers differently, but i tried to be honest and i still rather believe that i have a mild addiction that's under control at the moment then live in denial and not do anything to control my addiction because it's little.

I don't feel like users need to do a test to realize if they are addicted to gambling or not. It's like any other addiction, you know if you have it or not. And if you are not sure, then just look at your habits with that activity in the past few days.

Still it is a good thing to check and answer the question if a person is gambling at least once a week to know his gambling addiction resistance and know the factors to check if ever he wanted to be on guard against gambling addiction.

I really enjoy gambling, and I play almost every day, and I never lose more than what I can afford to lose, but I don't consider myself a gambling addict. I stop when I want and I like to walk away from the casinos each time I hit a nice prize.

Obviously, those who gamble for fun will definitely enjoy gambling but those who gamble for profit will be frustrated if they fail to meet their goal.

My answer on the 9 questions is:

1. Yes/ not always but sometimes
2. No
3. Yes
4. No
5. Yes
6. No
7. No
8. No
9. No

I discover this site few weeks ago after I experience a devastating lose before. Personally I don’t know if it’s really accurate or not but there’s no harm on doing self assessment especially if you are already doubting on your gambling habits status.
You can use the attached link for 3 minutes gambling addiction test and share the result by sending screenshots on the comment section.

I tried it, and I answered purely according to what I believed. the result, "Slight Indications of Gambling Addiction" to be honest, this question is a common question. thus, this test does not refer to absolute results. anyway, in the link you shared, after I filled out the test. they say, your answer shows a mild indication that you experience common symptoms among people who are addicted to gambling. however, this quiz is not a substitute for a proper diagnosis from a health care professional.

So, in conclusion. To be honest, I don't mind if I am declared a gambling addict. because, as a matter of fact, I love sports betting. in particular, football. however, I have rules of the game as a betting foundation that I do. most importantly, as we all agreed. everything returns to the self-control we have.
Regarding this test, this quiz is only a simplified result, not the result of an exact diagnosis from an expert. yes, just to try anyway it's okay.

I am not really certain whether or not such a simple test is enough to give you results on whether or not you have a gambling addiction and if yes, how severe of an addiction it is.

Seems like one of those fake IQ tests you can take that you found on some facebook post. Its not very scientific, that is to say.

A gambling addiction is very alike to a drug addiction from the perspective of your brain's neurochemistry. A dopamine abuse will leave physical signs which only a doctor could conclusively diagnose.

The best thing to do is if you suspect that you MIGHT have a gambling addiction, no matter how severe, you should definitely cut down on the gambling, at least for a while until your brain chemistry resets.

This quiz only takes binary (yes or no) data so it's definitely not valid IMO. At least, a scoring method with the 4 Likert scale (with the neutral option removed) should be more accurate. You can answer, no, sometimes, often, and always. Anyways, I know it's just a light quiz for fun so doesn't have to be serious Tongue

For sure my result is "Little or No Indication of Gambling Addiction" since I was "forced" to say no.

This is good for newbies in gambling who have not experienced the worst losses yet. As for me, I don't think it's necessary to take the test because I have already learned from my mistakes, and I feel like a brand new gambler now. Becoming a responsible gambler isn't easy, but through learning from experience, anything is possible.

What would happen to a gambler if they took that test and found out that their addiction was high? Would they take it seriously or not? I think most of them would disregard the result because they still love to gamble.
If they don't experience worse losses yet, it could mean these gamblers are still in control of their selves. If they take the test, the result that they could get are likely negative. For us veterans on this field, we already take one of these before because from our long time of gambling, we already tried to experience a heavy losses and we have doubts from our selves that what if we are an addict already?

If you feel that gambling is life, you will not take the test because you won't still not stop even if you found out that you are positive from the signs of gambling addictions. Only those who will take it are concerned about their selves.
