I'm definitely not a gambling addicted, because if I were, I would have already went bankrupt, wasting all my holdings in a desperate attempt of chasing losses. Instead, I've managed to control myself and accept the losses I faced without getting anxious, tempted or stressed to recover that money.

It's true right after the loss I felt like I could go through the wrong route, acting like an addicted gambler, but after all I overcame those feelings without further financial prejudice.
Yep, that's the spirit when I was in that time chasing losses but that's it after that I never chase again but instead I change my strategy and thus, calling it a day. But now, I rarely gamble due to my busy schedule and I like it this way I'm never bothered to think what should I do in order to win next time.

So far, so good I will probably gonna get a result of less likely to have a gambling problem of I would try to answer those questions. lol

Looking at others reply, I guess that I've already the idea on what result I'll get and having those questions. I'd for sure gonna fall to little or no indication of gambling addiction.   Cheesy

This is a good measurement for those that have results that indicates their gambling addiction. It'll give them the idea on what they should control and the system will tell them that they're already addicted because even if some friends or random person online tells them that they are, they wouldn't believe.

these surveys are good, but a person who is addicted to gambling will not answer these questions honestly and sincerely, for an addicted person he is fine, he does not see that he is not fine. In my case I don't need to answer these questions for the following reasons:

1 - I don't bet a lot of money on gambling
2 - I have good bankroll management
3 - I always use my strategy and I don't deviate from it, that is, when I lose money I don't chase losses

I'm not saying that my strategy is very good, but at least my strategy keeps me playing and having fun with games of chance and with my self control 100% functional. for an addicted person he constantly plays the same games and has nothing else to do in his life, he makes big bets like 1000$, my stakes never even reached 100$ in a single game, I always keep as low as possible in each game and per week I bet less than 10 games and I don't even spend more than 1 hour analyzing the games I bet on, of course I spend many hours watching games but I really like fun

Most or all of my answers is NO,  but #3 got me , it is kinda hard to stop from your limits, whether you are winning or not still you need to limit yourselves so that you will be used that no matter what happen you will not add some money to your limit or you will stop asap. Also for the last question #9 it is very bad idea to gamble when you are sad or lonely it will not help you to ease your emotion.

Little wonder what our losses in gambling can lead us to research or do. I once started to write an essay on gambling when I experienced a huge loss. Thank you for sharing this great resource with us. It will sure be useful for those who may be on the high end of the spectrum of gambling addiction. I find that this can also be used to test for other addictions as well.

1. No
2. No
3. No
4. No

Result is little or no addiction as well. It would have been different if I took this test a couple of years ago when I had more time to spend on playing or betting. The situation has changed a lot now and I got more busy with other stuffs so the test result is quite accurate for the time being hehe.

[....]9. Do you ever gamble when you feel anxious, sad, helpless or guilty?
It wasn't long ago when a member posted his story about gambling when he felt bored or sad - I'm not sure anymore.

Thanks for the share.
My result: Little or No Indication of Gambling Addiction

I don't actually think about gambling the whole day, that may the reason why I got a little score when it comes to addiction. Like right now, I will only think about it because there will be a game tomorrow and I should prepare my bets so that it will all be set tomorrow.
Then after the results, another long hour of rest until the bookies post the game odds.
I have never been in a financial problem too where there is a need to be bailed out just because of it.

But like what the website suggests, this should not be a proper substitute for diagnosis. We can always lie with our answers here but in front of a specialist, we might not be able to do so.

1. No, because I usually think about playing gambling when it comes to weekends
2. No, I only limit myself to no more than $20 per week, so I prefer to play with smaller stakes
3. I succeed if I want to reduce my gambling
4. Not really, because usually I've been consistent with my betting and spending limits
5. Never, because being honest with my girlfriend would make me even more scrutinized
6. No, because I only play casino on weekends and occasionally bet on big football events which are held on weekdays so it doesn't interfere with my other activities
7. After my money is spent on gambling according to my weekly limit, then I will go on a date with my girlfriend
8. There's no need, because that will only add more problems
9. Never, I play gambling when I'm feeling too late on weekends and usually gamble just for fun

If I answer the questions above, it seems that I am not indicated as a gambling addict, but maybe this can help and is also useful for other gambling addicts  Wink

Let me answer, to what extent do I get addicted to online gambling.

1. Maybe, yes, sometimes when I see a good game, I think about it, want to continue my gambling activity on a curious game.
2. No, I have full control over the money I bet in gambling sources.
3. Of course, I managed to cut some of my gambling winnings, maybe I cut it often.
4. Definitely, yes.
5. Sometimes I have to do that, so that those I love won't be sad when I lose a bet.
6. No, I have time to organize all that.
7. Of course, even if bad luck approaches the umpteenth time.
8. No, I gamble not someone else's, so I don't need to refer to other people.
9. Never, it's very dangerous for myself, I'd rather go to the mountains or the sea to overcome it.

That is all from me.

I myself sometimes think whether I am addicted to gambling or not, maybe some of these questions will provide results or answers to what I am asking.
However, if I think back, I can still control my desire to gamble and limit the money at stake, but sometimes I also ignore the gambling management that I have made. This is what makes me confused to say I am addicted or not, maybe I will try an addiction test That's it, thanks for the offer.

And those are my results, but it seems my gambling addiction is not dominant and I feel quite comfortable with the results.
I think there should be more questions.

I answered NO in all of the question, and I'm just being honest.

1. Do you spend lots of time thinking about gambling or planning a gambling activity?
2. Do you need to gamble with increasing amounts of money to feel excited?
3. Do you unsuccessfully try to cut back on your gambling?
4. Do you feel irritable or restless when you try to limit your gambling?
5. Do you lie to loved ones about your gambling habits?
6. Has gambling interfered with your work, school, or relationships?
7. After losing money gambling, do you often return to it with the intention to make up for the loss or break even?
8. Do you have to ask others to bail you out of financial troubles due to gambling?
9. Do you ever gamble when you feel anxious, sad, helpless or guilty?
1. No. I'm only spending less than 30 minutes gambling because most of the time, I'm only gambling on sports bets. What I'm doing when I'm putting my bets is that, I'm looking both team's statistics, and a bit of analyzation then after that, I'll just watch games.
2. No. I can say that I'm a disciplined person when it comes to gambling, and I know how to limit my spending when it comes to it.
3. No.
4. No. Like I said, I can control my spending on gambling.
5. No. I'm not lying to them because they don't know that I'm doing it.
6. No. I'm making sure that, my work, my relationship with others is my priority before gambling.
7. No. When I'm losing, I already consider it as a loss and will accept it. Will not make reckless decision just to recover my losses.
8. No. I didn't ever experience having financial troubles with gambling as the main cause.
9. No. I have many ways to remove my negative feelings, and gambling isn't one of them. Playing online games is one. Going outside with other people is another. Eating food while watching videos is another.

1. Do you spend lots of time thinking about gambling or planning a gambling activity?
2. Do you need to gamble with increasing amounts of money to feel excited?

BTW, My personal result is Mild Indication of Gambling Addiction.
8. Do you have to ask others to bail you out of financial troubles due to gambling?
9. Do you ever gamble when you feel anxious, sad, helpless or guilty?

1. I only spend 20-30 mins a day to analyze and to bet in sports and esports matches
2. I always feel excited even I only bet small amount of money
3. I did not cut my gambling because I have self control so I'am sure that my thinking is always straight and I always have a good mindset
4. There are times that I irritable but I'm aware that it is my own fault because my psychology is not that okay. I always evaluating myself before and after gambling so I'm aware if I did a mistake or I just followed my plan.
5. No! My family and my friends are aware that I do gambling, I also share my analysis to them. They are also aware to my skill and to my gambling psychology so they are supportive to me.
6. No! I do not multitask whenever I work, I usually bet during morning where my tasks are so light. I never try to bet whenever I'm at work.
7. No, but there are some parts of me who want to recover what I lose before
8. No! That is the most dumb ways to do whenever you gamble.
9. No! Because I'm aware to the risks. I also manage my expectation so that I can never experience financial and emotional disaster even my bet turn into loss.

As you can see, most of my answers are connected to mindset, psychology and attitude. I do not gamble without a foundation because I learned from the OGs and I do not want to experienced what they experienced before. I also invested a lot of time for my attitude to be good that can help me to win some money in gambling.

This is good for newbies in gambling who have not experienced the worst losses yet. As for me, I don't think it's necessary to take the test because I have already learned from my mistakes, and I feel like a brand new gambler now. Becoming a responsible gambler isn't easy, but through learning from experience, anything is possible.

What would happen to a gambler if they took that test and found out that their addiction was high? Would they take it seriously or not? I think most of them would disregard the result because they still love to gamble.
Probably, they won’t deal with the result seriously because they will always think that gambling addiction is still good as long as you still control your losses and you still manage your gambling activities. So they don’t have to worry at all. But when time comes that their gambling addiction has come to its worst, wherein they used up all their life savings to chase profits in gambling, that’s the time they will worry on how to control themselves from being addicted from gambling. Btw, I think I don’t have to take the test knowing I’ve never been spending most of my time in gambling, and I can still live my life even without gambling.

4. Do you feel irritable or restless when you try to limit your gambling? - No
5. Do you lie to loved ones about your gambling habits? - Yes (partly to some)

Idk if I need help in gambling or with my eyes. I can't seem to find it, even if I do go to incognito so my extensions don't f up anything on the site. Or I'm just that dumb that I can't find it. Comparing my answers though I should be at the little to no indication level? The questions are at a pretty obvious level though, might actually produce better results if it wasn't a simple yes/no question. Granted that it's a self- assessment though I guess it makes sense why it was simplified to this level.

The result of the survey for me is "Little or No Indication of Gambling Addiction". I remember I only answered 'yes' once, but that's the truth, so I'm happy with the result. I hope those who take the survey will be honest with themselves. Besides, this will not be published unless you choose to publish it.

It would be nice if there were more questions, but I'm okay with what I have already answered.  Smiley
