It's better to have your bets base your own analysis because that is why we gamble, we will not learn if we will only follow what others will say and even if in times we will win it will not fulfill us as a gambler. I believe the effort we are making will give more fun in what we are doing and that way it will make us stay in gambling longer.

Yes I agree, it would be more satisfied if we bet according to the analysis of our own even though in the end we lost but still at least we will not have any regrets.

don't worry everybody has some level of superstition like this, even those claminig they don't have it, you can see they are always more willing to do certain things that others like choose a certain number because it seems to be more winning number!
i think it is safe to say that these types of stuff is also a part of human nature like being greedy.

Me too supertition for the number of your favorite and i used it during or when i am gambling therefore supertition is a luck number for which the destiny is to win in the game. To not to lost is win in the game or to not win is to lost in the game. Its either the two of the people around and see.

I have favorite numbers, that is some kind of superstition. I always choose them when I bet, or I count to that numbers. I'm not some freak about it, I have my limits. I like to listen good music and I dont like big lights, but that is more about ambient and comfort, all thou its a part of superstition, how can we gamble and win if we don't feel comfortable. It's better to have your bets base your own analysis because that is why we gamble, we will not learn if we will only follow what others will say and even if in times we will win it will not fulfill us as a gambler. Some of the things from thread made me laugh, I didn't know there is so many superstitious gamblers. I'm not a believer, I dont believe in God, spirit's and other phenomenas. I know that everything is one big circle, and no matter how much we are up, we need to fall down, and reverse. I think its more about trying and persistence, but that is thin line with addiction. What we need in life is balance, and that is how I gamble, I change style's, games, casinos, I change amounts that I gamble with, and I always get out happy from casino, no matter do I win or lose, its a game and its important that I enjoyed while I played.

but nothing will change up, if you are unlucky you will not win whatever lucky thing that you have beside you.

Yeah maybe that is superstition because you are being irrational and thinking that rubbing a lucky rabbits will give you good luck. But I think mostly Chinese belief is superstition I think they are one of the most superstitious people in the world. And come to think of it, a lot big time gamblers are Chinese or with Chinese descent so I think they took superstitious seriously and take advantage of their culture believing in it specially gambling.

The person you replied to stated that it might have something to do with confidence, which is a fair claim imo.
You'd bet differently when you're confident, which could affect the way you're playing, perhaps resulting in more winnings.

I could really see this work when playing poker against other players for example, maybe not so much with slots though...

wow i hope your six sense is work for you in gambling games so you can make money with that. but i think we need more than six sense to win the games. but i think i don't use any six sense since i am not feeling anything when i am playing gambling and i only play with easy. maybe for other people is related but its not for all people and only work with that person.

We can't stop and blame those people if they are making and applying superstitious belief in gambling. It's just a matter of belief but I don't believe in such superstitions but I admit. I did once belief with some superstitions but that is not with gambling but that is with my everyday life. Then I found that it's just an hearsay that I keep on believing and it's crazy upon realizing.

Well ,having a positive effect wearing your favorite or same color of dress doesn't mean a supertition because he only gets exciting or having a self confidence but if he say that wearing same color thinks he have the luck its a supertition So that was a most common misunderstanding ,liking a thing is different .It depends on every person what he believes in .I believe on same color of shirt that gives me a luck a superstition for me.

I mean this is not a game that you earn some credit or enhancement from runs or something. This is real time. The outcome of the bet nothing to do with your dress. I this is the way gambling works, I guess every gambler will find a superstition solution to crack profits.

Clearly I could not find the any differences between what we are calling lucky moments and those supertitions. I guess gamblers have termed a new name for their lack. Anyway if we are able to find out and bring our luck coming to action by this way, then really nice to have.

well that's only building its confidence, thinking that just because he wear his favorite things will let them win the gamble, for sure its just a co-incidence and just a timing which allowed them to win, but its nothing related for sure its still luck and skills that you need to win from gambling.
