Yes, I do agree. There are people who are into sports betting and they are living their lives because of this. I can say that sports betting will give you higher chance of winning if you are into a particular sport for so long, you already know each player, each team, even their personal lives. Knowing the personality of each player will also help you in determining the outcome of the game. So yeah, some individuals are living their lives out of gambling, not only in sports betting area.

I have never heard of people who from being poor or having nothing been rich through gambling and been staying a gambler to maintain their status. They must already have money before starting into it except those who won in lottery of course but even them if they continue in gambling they will soon return to their previous status in life.

Pretty sure the top ranked poker players are earning there living mainly with tournaments and not all started rich. With the popularity of poker and the ease you can play these days it can suit all pockets.

Some people might be here doing that, making gambling as the main source of income. That is a good thing according to them, because it can generate money (the main source) from playing gambling. I personally, can't do that, because I'm not good at gambling.

There are people who we think that they are in gambling but actually they make it out for living, like in cock fighting there's a lot of people that serves as biting middle man or a gaffer who used earn a living out of it.

There are people who do it on games of skill and not games of luck. I have personally met with someone who was a professional poker player and he has been making his money from poker for about 6 years now.

He first started with pokerstars where he knew how to play poker a bit and played there but he was still a novice and didn't really play good enough to make a living. Then he kept on losing money gambling all day everyday to get better because it was 1 cent 2 cent bids and that was basically nothing, he lost maybe 50 bucks a day at his worst days but usually came close to break even most of the time, it took him maybe a thousand dollars at most for a year and eventually he started to get better by reading and talking and studying the game.

Now, he is not making huge amounts of money from regular games, he just attends tournaments and even though he doesn't win most of them, one or two big tourney wins is enough to live for a whole year since rewards are huge.

I have a friend that ca be consider as professional gambler as even though he has a small business in life that ca atleast sustainable for his family yet big portion of he’s living materials camping from the winnings in gambling
He is a big time cockfighting Gambler-in which he can make a betting of about 2-5k usd in a single fight but I don’t know If he is just a lucky man or a gifted person because for the ratio of 8/10 in gambling .

I use to gamble a lot also when I am still single but I ca only have atleast 6/10 in win-loss

^ There is an option there, "know your limit and be responsible". There are some people who love gambling because they can earn profit but sometimes they lose. In that case, you should know when to stop if you have won and know how to stop when the amount you have set was lost. Maybe gambling is a big part for their living but for my personal opinion, I don't suggest to fully rely on gambling since it's a risk. Gambling is only good for entertainment and fun but not to take it too serious 'cause it could really put you in a bad situation.

Gambling for living is like putting your life in risk.

This is a hard and risky way to live but there are professional gamblers who can live by gambling alone, we can include traders here, casinos will not divulge who among their clients are living in gambling but these high rollers know how to play to win to compensate for their losses because they have the means to do that.

Well indeed the tide will not always be on our side. But clearly there are people like that, where they make gambling as their main livelihood. Even if there are players who can live out on their winnings, this is often for a very short time in the players lifespan, if they manage to gain hundreds of thousands of dollars sooner or later they have to pursue a 9-5 job to earn money. Players who earn a lot of money in no matter of time are eager to spend that money in no matter of time and buy things that they simply cannot affort like mansions or yachts.

And he seemed to be more focused when in the middle of the game, i guess this is how they really make money from gambling. He doesn't waste such a small opportunity to slip off when there's money involved.
