When we are losing in gambling, it doesn't mean we can continue to play the game because it will make us become a stress to see how much money we lose. That will make us feel that we have a big problem because of losing the money and that will make our brain will full of the stress, and when we see the amount of the money, it will add more stress to us because we could think how we are going to recover that loss.
You are talking about the psychological scenario of a gambler. Normally people think it is good to treat gambling as a way of pure entertainment but not everyone think like that and many people try to make money at gambling which often leads them to loss and the urge to recover the losses make them more prone towards loss which is a dangerous situation for gamblers. So yeah, in such a case, you can say that gambling is equivalent to eating up your brain.

Yes, the psychological scenario will give an effect to the gambler itself whether they can win or they are losing the money. But indirectly, when they see other people can win in one game, they will think that they can get win too. And that will make us have a big passion for continuing the game, and if we cannot win, then we will be stress. That will be their problem if they cannot treat gambling as a way to have fun and in the end, they will only lose more and more money, and they can become addicted.

You broke means you gamble over your own limit, all gambler will say similar thing once they lost over their own limit. This is why it is very important for us to gamble what we can afford to lose only. Nothing you can do now except admit your own mistake and move on. Don't even think to recover again because you may get on deeper loses.

I agree, I guess this happens to almost all gamblers in an effort to get back the losses, I think they don't intend to gamble more than what they have they're just trying to recover the losses but still didn't have the luck instead they lose more. I think it is better to rest for a while from gambling instead of pushing in getting back those losses because you might lose again even more.

That refers to emotional battle including each person's psychological aspects in handling gambling. If you had enough to bet for gambling, then if you're not using your brain wisely; you're capable of being dominated by gambling desires. It will control you eventually, so you became addicted to fun games on gambling without knowing that you're overpowered. This will control you, and in the long run it will become a disease which cannot be cured easily because most stories like those crypto casino addicts tend to be loss much in gambling rather than spending money for their families.

With gambling when we miss our limit automatically our funds get eaten up. In my experience it is truly a hard task to stay within limits. Myself always used to set a limit, but I have never stopped within that. Even today I set a limit of 0.01 btc, when lost I was unable to quit. Further continued and lost 0.01btc again. This happens, even I've mentioned in several threads we need to be within limits.

this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided.

They say it is like a quick sand, the more you fight the more you get sucked into that hole. I don't often gamble but I also experience the same. The urge to immediately recover what you've lost is too hard to resist. One measure I take to prevent that from happening to me is not bringing too much money.

But then again, if you will be thinking of it, that means you are losing too even if that is a small amount. You might think that bringing money in a small amount can stop you from gambling, as you've said it is like quicksand. Gambling is one of the hardest things to keep your distance on especially if you already know how great it can be when you already won.

Gambling losing streak,

I’m into gambling for about months now, and in my first game I was able to generate profit enough to be happy, I continued for the rest of my 4 weeks of playing, sometimes its breakeven but I know its ok.

My friend invited me to play with him in casino this time, I have enough money to play for so I decided to say yes. Bad luck comes to me this time, at first my loss was about $500, so I know it is still fine and decided to continue, but the moment we stopped I think its too late now since I’ve already loss $3000, a very bad day for me. I’ve lost the money I’ve worked hard for.

This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin, this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided. Have the same experience with me? Don’t hesitate to share and give some thoughts for those who are suffering from sitution like this.  Sad

Good thing I had never bet such high amounts, I could hardly earn 500 dollars a month. I do know how is it like to lose, with all the money in my pocket full when I enter gambling and when I got out I am broke, that hurts and still I never learned a damned thing about surrendering and chase to get back what I have lose. Good for you you have stopped such terrible habit. I remember my brother when he sold of his valuables in order to get back on his feet, but the sad thing is he still lose. Now he quit gambling and he is going to work abroad and I am happy for him. Anyone can change their lifestyle hope mine comes next.

I think it is quick sand for those who do not understand about it a lot. Suppose I do not know who to drive a car and if I sit on the driving seat, I would end up either hitting someone or would drive a very pathetic and shaky way. So yeah, if you do not know how to make money in gambling, you should not be a part of it because the more you try to make money in gambling, the more you loose it.

Its not an isolated cases, most gamblers especially the addicted ones cant refrain themselves from chasing their losses and if you dont have control you might really end up as one of those who dont think about the consequences of their action.

Well I experienced the same situation but the money involve was not that much. After experiencing such loss I decided to stop spending my hard earned money in gambling but it didnt happen sooner as its not that easy to resist especially if you used to do it often. I think it takes months before I completely get rid my gambling hobby, fortunately I was able to control myself now everytime im in the mood to gamble.

The worst is when you want to recover your losses. When you are in a bad luck and are not having fun anymore, just give it a break. Withdrawal your money, accept your loss and come back some other day to have more fun.

Don't try to get back the money you lost, or you will end up losing more (probably)

This is a very important point. Everyone is aware of it, but it is very difficult to practise in reality. No one starts a game, expecting to lose. Everyone dream about winning big and therefore when someone has to deal with consecutive losses he becomes incapable of doing rational thinking. Emotions get the better of him, and he forgets his limits.

gambling must be for fun so there is no need to torture your brain and try to invent the system to cheat the casino. just relax and play.
That is an easy theory but when you have lost a lot, you will not be able to relax and no longer have fun. Making a strategy in gambling is important even though it is luck that will determine the outcome and that is enough to make the brain mess because of the strong desire to take back what has been lost.
Chasing back losses is not the right way to play gambling because it will add to the loss we experience. Preferably, relax the money we have lost by gambling and stop for a moment to refresh the mind. Following your passions will only make things worse.

That's the action of an indiscipline gambler, when we do that, most of the time we will end up losing.
Because of our frustration and our inability to accept loses, instead of spending what is budgeted, we will loss more money.

Lol. If someone is unable to accept their losses, then they shouldn't be gambling in the first place. Gambling will eat you alive if you invest your emotions in it so you have to first make yourself aware of what can and will happen before you start that first bet. A lot of people are living proof of how disastrous gambling can be for people who take too seriously and make it a big part of their lives.
Yes, one who isn't ready to accept loss should not get into gambling. Rather than emotions one will get much loss out of gambling which is more than eating the brain and money when they are with good luck and out of greed losing what they've earned through luck. I've experienced similar thing with dice where I earned 0.005btc with just 0.0001btc as base amount. Out of luck lost the 0.005btc and further spend 0.005btc out of greed to get back the lost fund.
If i be you maybe i will take a rest for a moment because actually lose all profit that we gain sometime make us tired like that we feel really waste our time and do it again will make it worse. But this is just if i who in that condition.

Brain and money are clearly needed in gambling, and usually it happens for those who are serious and expect victory in gambling.
and whatever the reason for gambling will end up losing if you don't stop at the right time, and try to play just for fun or just entertainment so you are not too focused and not consumed by the brain and stop when you win.

Yes, it's 100% true I agree with this statement. "Gambling Eating your Brain and Money" gambling once destroyed people. Gambling is not a good game. Money is lost in gambling. Gambling is like an addiction. All of us should refrain from playing gambling. Because of gambling, there is a great loss of identity in its own ignorance. Money is money and gambling is the same thing. So I would have to refrain from gambling as much as I can.

True, the thing will be difficult to manage when we face heavy losses or when we get financial problems in our real life. Because gambling is part of our hobby, we may choose it as a way to solve our problems and that can be a starting point for falling as an addict instead of as entertainment purpose only.
