gambling must be for fun so there is no need to torture your brain and try to invent the system to cheat the casino. just relax and play.
That is an easy theory but when you have lost a lot, you will not be able to relax and no longer have fun. Making a strategy in gambling is important even though it is luck that will determine the outcome and that is enough to make the brain mess because of the strong desire to take back what has been lost.

I stand with Ukraine.
Gambling is not only eating your brain and money but it also eats your time. And I think that this is the most important factor that gamblers should considered.
I realized that I had spent a lot of time that would be useful for doing other things that would give me the possibility of acquiring and gaining knowledge.

You are right in that no one should spend most of his/her free time on gambling. There are other things worthy of being engaged with, including studying. However, people that use gambling for recreational purposes can't abandon it completely. For some people it's the best way of relaxing, and they can do their main jobs better, and they can study better after spending some time gambling. Maybe it's a risky way of relaxing, but so are bungee jumping, rock climbing, skydiving and many others, not to mention drinking alcohol beverages and taking drugs.

People can't live without relaxation, but they should make sure that those activities are not eating their brain and money, not harming their health and are not hazardous to their lives.
I don’t think so I think it is much better to spend your time in gambling more than spending in other activities, those people who don’t gamble more they think about some bad activities so better spend your time in gambling it makes our mind useful and sharp, when you gamble we use our mind to get the idea of the opponent so this way we are polishing our skills of gambling.

Which part of my post made you wright "I don’t think so"? Please, read it again and you'll see that there's nothing you can disagree with.

Also, what "opponent" are talking about? The house? Apart from a poker game I don't know where can we find an "opponent". I agree, to an extent, that we can be "polishing our skills" while playing poker, but that hardly can be applied to other gambling activities. That's not to say that other games are not relaxing, they are, but how can you polish your skills playing dice or minesweeper? Smiley

Gambling losing streak,

I’m into gambling for about months now, and in my first game I was able to generate profit enough to be happy, I continued for the rest of my 4 weeks of playing, sometimes its breakeven but I know its ok.

My friend invited me to play with him in casino this time, I have enough money to play for so I decided to say yes. Bad luck comes to me this time, at first my loss was about $500, so I know it is still fine and decided to continue, but the moment we stopped I think its too late now since I’ve already loss $3000, a very bad day for me. I’ve lost the money I’ve worked hard for.

This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin, this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided. Have the same experience with me? Don’t hesitate to share and give some thoughts for those who are suffering from sitution like this.  Sad

I know that feeling. It's like a strong magnet that pulls you to that gambling site or casino after your losses. It won't let you sleep and it will make you think about it for a few days thinking that a few spins or rolls, you can retrieve your money back and win maybe more. But that is also not good if you go back playing again because for me stopping after you first loss is for your own good. $3k is so much money to me but playing again could lose 10x more than that so be very, very careful.

Oh, come one? You only think the negative side. Do you think continuous gambling can make yourself relax and think straight? There are other activities that don't involve spending too much money, like hanging out with your friends, doing some aerobics, painting, drawing, etc., that can make yourself busy just to stay away from getting addicted in gambling. Change your mindset man it won't help you in the end even if you are a billionaire.

Lol,  your story is quite funny, it’s not good to be addicted to gambling. If you’re addicted To gambling you’re likely going to end up a loser. Just learn to control yourself and bet wisely.  You shouldn’t bet everything you have in your pocket,  there are bad days,  and when days like this happens, you just have to stop betting immediately and wait for another day, cause chasing the loss just like you have said will lead to further losses. I know some people that are addicted to gambling (not as friends) and I can tell you it’s a really bad thing cause it leads them to doing things they are not supposed to do.
Addiction is not good for anything if you are addicting of anything you will want all the time best from it so in some cases it goes good for us but sometimes it can be wrong for us, we should not put any stress about gambling to our mind just enjoy it and play for your benefit so you will feel good with gambling.

If you look up the internet about the worth of gambling industry and the top gamblers of the world, you would realize how instrumental gambling could be in making you one among the richest gamblers. There are people who have made names in gambling and have made billions so it is not that you will loose everything in gambling. Things could also be the other way around. However to be on the safe side, I agree with you over the precautions you have mentioned.

This is why it's really not good to always chase your losses. If you can't stay away from gambling, at least employ some sort of bankroll management system, like alloting just 3% of your monthly allowance to betting and never spending more than that in casinos within the month.

I had been a great gambler as I used to be a Tennis player myself till I met with an injury which destroyed me completely. It may sound stupid but when I was playing the game myself, my predictions were next to great and I was able to fetch all the information lied behind the scenes and win over and over again but after I stopped playing (due to my knee surgery), I didn't win a single bet (this is what may sound stupid here but truth) and had big continuous losses which made me lose my entire life savings in it. I never went behind my losses to be recovered, I just made bets and lost them one by one, no martingale strategy, nothing. It is not a good idea to go all in with all the money you have saved in your life as it may become a life threatening experience for you when you watch them going and getting added to the gambling website's house edge bankroll.
I am sorry about your injury, surgery and loses mate. It’s just so unfortunate that you made this huge loss, losing all life’s savings isn’t something funny at all. So many questions running through my mind right now, Like how did it happen, what strategy did you use in playing and what kind of game could that be. I truly feel your pain.

I am surprised you didn’t use martingale strategy, I always thought those who lose everything in gambling are the ones who keep double betting but since you say you didn’t use that, I feel you should have stopped when you saw it wasn’t favorable to you. Maybe gambling luck was just no longer on your side.

If we are playing gamble to earn accumulate wealth, then we have to take the risk on spending time and money, because it will delegate a way to become aggressive on striving hard to pursue winning at our luck. Fortunately, with the help of our  knowledge and experiences we can create sensible strategy to defend our game. And I think it is about a wiseful deliberation to conquest the consequences on gambling.

I am sure that there are people who treat gambling seriously and they use gambling game as their source to make money. Some of them can win but the other is losing money, and they should decide to stay away from gambling if they don't want to lose the money. When you are losing money in many times, you can become stressful, and that will make you frustrated, and that means, gambling will eat your brain and money indirectly.

This is what happens to first-time gamblers who do not set a goal when to stop and how much money is he willing to invest or gamble if you failed to set that goal, you will end up miserable because you will try to catch all your losses and this is the only motivation that you had without thinking that you are losing a lot.
Every time a new user gets into gambling all that he have in mind is win big money out of gambling. Upon the same he could've begun to spend big money on gambling. When he experience loss through gambling, the mind won't accept it. To overcome the same user will tend to recover betting big amount and this continued process in most cases leads to addiction.

I do gamblings too but not that heavy. I think the most right skill on gambling isnt the luck but the self control. If you have self control you can cut your loose. Same as not being greedy for winnings. You must learn how to control your emotions. Gambling is not about always winning we all know that but everytime we lose on a bet we have to think twice if were still going to roll the bank or just rest for awhile then come back when your mind is more calm or just cut the lose. Dont let your emotions run to your system while your playing. You have to be calm. Set a goal when gambling. If you can surpass the goal then good. But if you think not, better to take rest.
