So before you think of gambling with your hard earned money have a rethink and see if you can withstand the outcome especially in football when the team you placed your bet is losing by 2:0 can you withstand the pressure of watching the game knowing that you're money is going away?
you must not gamble if you know that you easily get entangled with things and you can get to a point where things easily control you. knowing your kind of temperament and what will work well for you is very important because it will guide you out of conditions where you start a lifestyle that might be dangerous for you. even though gambling might be fun and might be known for uniting a lot of youths most especially the ones that are lovers of some specific sports, if you know that if you get involved in it you might not be strong enough to manage the losses, it is just best to play other games that does not require you to do so using any money. but if you must gamble, it should be with an amount that regardless of the outcome of your prediction, you know that it doesn't really affect you that much because the amount is not much.

being strong hearted doesn't mean that you should go on to gamble with something that is really big and assume that your strong heart would not allow it get to you. regardless of how tough your heart is, losing huge money will certainly affect you so the best thing to do is to play a less risky bet and save yourself from disaster.

Defeat is natural thing in gambling, those who decide to dive into gambling must of course accept the fact that defeat is guaranteed result that they will face later, daring to gamble and risk money for risk but not being able to accept losing money is stupid attitude that must be changed immediately.
Everything will also be related to mentality, someone who has decided to start gambling must also be able to have mentality that can withstand all conditions including seeing the favorite team lose to the point of losing betting money, otherwise like various cases that have occurred with various actions that are very inappropriate to do and it will be very detrimental to yourself.

Gambling carries the risk that one could lose their money at any time, so when gamblers risk their money they should be prepared for the high probability that they will lose. That's why a gambler not only needs to have a strong heart, but also be mentally prepared so that they can face the worst possibility of their gambling and not become stressed because of it.
Yeah, it should be both, but we can just emphasize the emotional aspect since our minds have already planned everything when we gamble. If our emotions break down, that’s when our minds get affected. Situations like this occur because we tend to be overly aggressive in gambling, going beyond our budget. That’s something we need to work on. We must stick strictly to our set range, so we don’t experience emotional breakdowns that lead to worse outcomes.

That’s true, because if you’re emotionally weak, you’ll likely make mistakes you’ll regret in the long run. We’re dealing with money here, and even though we tell ourselves to only gamble what we can afford to lose, being emotionally fragile can make us break that rule. This can lead to bigger losses until we can’t recover anymore, simply because we can’t accept or let go of our initial losses.

I think it’s normal for a person to want to avenge their losses, but we should do it systematically. This means we need to keep a clear mind rather than letting our emotions guide us, since emotions often lead to poor decision-making.

Gambling isn't for the weak hearted as it'll break you down if you don't have a strong mind to let go of money that you have lost. Before you decide to gamble, you'll have to be willing to lose any amount that you're putting up for risk. You can win or lose but don't lose yourself in any of the outcome of the bet. Some people lose their minds when they win and it ends up being the start of their destruction.

We have others that lose money and they can't take that lost because of how they got the capital that they used in gambling or because they can't stand the lost of their money. For the soft hearted gamblers, you shouldn't be gambling with high wagers but small ones to build up your confidence and tougher skin for when they decide to stake higher.

Any one planing of going into gambling should first of all come to the realization that gambling was designed originally for those whose heart is strong enough to withstand the outcome of the gambling events as gambling related deaths has claimed the Life of many as their blood pressure increased as a result of losing from their gambling

That can be a true situation but I wouldn't say that a strong heart is always the cornerstone for those in gambling because at the end of the day everyone has their own opinion on this.
It's just that when we have entered or want to be in gambling then indirectly the mindset that we have must also change a little because after all, gambling is sometimes more difficult than imagined.

For the short term maybe not because we will just gamble, spend money and after that it's done but for a much longer impact gambling can be one of the alternatives when we spend time and even sometimes when we are already at this point it will be very difficult to avoid that we do not gamble so it is important to think of a plan or mindset in advance so that we are not controlled by gambling. In this case, the adult attitude is very important because when we are still children and think about gambling only in passing then in the end we will be blinded by ambition and emotions that make what we do in gambling will not end well.

People who die as a result of blood pressure during the process already had the illness, it’s a mistake for anyone with such illness gambling using their hard earn money. I have seen stories of people committing suicide due to gambling lose and at the end they’re at fault, it’s either they choose to gamble taking loan or gamble beyond their capacity so in such way it’s difficult also sometimes they get depress. I don’t want to blame the casino or gambling activity when they had the right choice to make as a matter of fact people with soft heart still gamble so it’s not a big deal.

Gamblers are expected to be mentally matured to handle the outcome of whatever choices they make. You must indeed be ready and prepared mentally for losses if you want to start gambling because there is no way to avoid loosing in gambling. If you have not accepted that you will loose when you gamble, you should not gamble because you will definitely not take the looses well, can also get depressed, and let the looses affect your social life with family and others around you.

In gambling everyone gambles according to their level of risk you can take for instance; if I can accept a loose of $500 and I stake a game if I lose this wouldn't affect me because I know it is my risk level and I can accept to lose $500 without attaching any feelings or emotion inside of it. But if I can't accept to lose $500 and I place a bet on it thinking that I will win and if the game cut off it would definitely affect me because I didn't accept the risk at the first place.

So it's important to always use what we can accept to lose to gamble than using what we can't risk, and of course we need to be since to ourselves while gambling otherwise we could fall more deeper thinking we are doing the right thing.

You're not wrong, in sport betting mental is very important like for trading. But even with a strong spirit you'll get down and sometimes very low and long ones. If you have "weak hands" betting and gambling is very likely for someone else. Because you can finish with a destroyed mind and bank account.

Those who have health issues, especially heart blood pressure and anything that can easily trigger fear and lead them to break down, should not think of gambling. The disappointment that comes with your team losing on a die in minutes matches is something that anyone with a health issue should encounter.

This is why some argue that people from a few train ages should no longer be allowed to gamble because they are not mentally fit for what will come with it, either the excitement of winning a big amount or the anger of losing big.

Feels like a desperate topic here IMO. If I bet on a football game and cannot handle my team losing I could die if I have a weak heart? Do you have stats to back this up? I have a weak heart BTW and I am still alive even when a team I may have bet on is losing.
Old boyy!!! just when I thought I've seen it all, and then this shows up as a thread ? Do we seriously need to discuss on every nugatory and pointless observations? a post with zero effort/creativity!! I'll be ashamed to read Garbage threads like this coming from people of the same community like I do.
I'd count more times that the Antarctica’s rare blood-red waterfall flows than the times people die out of gambling anxiety. BTW, haven't we discussed similar topics like this already??

Edit: Funny enough, I was still tryna find some suitable words to describe this, only to come back and I'm finally posting on the second page of the thread... Wow! Not surprised, seen alot worse.

I bet you had that experience that is why you are sharing it.

Yes, it's not for the faint of heart. Not just those with diseases like heart attack should be careful but also those who are mentally weak. There have been many cases of suicide attempts and the reason behind this is gambling. We don't want that to happen to us or our family members so it's better to just avoid gambling if necessary because it will not give entertainment but more like bigger problems.

I don't think I can disagree with this and anyone arguing this is not being sincere because it takes a strong heart to be a gambler. There are only two options involved in gambling which are either you win or you lose so it takes a strong heart to know that the chances of loosing is higher yet you go ahead and put your money. Anyone who is not ready to accept the reality that the chances of lossing is higher than that of winning in gambling should better go into other businesses.

If we can take the risk with gambling, then it may be fit in for us to do, but if we think that the bet we are going for is not what we can be so confident in, then we have to recheck on the amount of money to use on such, because we may likely fail or lose the bet.

On a nutshell, it is important that we should only gamble with the amount of money we can afford to lose, once we have this kind of mindedness, whichever way comes in will not be a regret on us for gambling, since we are doing that for fun.

It is not about the hear at all if you think about it. As if it was a quality to go through downtimes when you are gambling and losing. That is not a quality. The quality is to assess whether you are still gambling for the fun of it or whether you think you are an addict and can't go without it. Totally wrong questions asked here. Bringing up medical terms like blood pressure and stuff doesn't change the fact that gambling should take place in a responsible manner, that is all you have to care about.

Indeed!

Gambling, especially when it involves money, can put a significant strain on the emotional and physical health of gamblers as the unpredictability of outcomes can lead to a rollercoaster of emotions, from the euphoria of winning to the anguish of losing. High blood pressure, as you mentioned, is a real physical reaction to the stress and anxiety that can accompany gambling, especially if the person is losing.

Although it may seem exaggerated, there are unfortunately real and tragic reports of gambling-related deaths where the pressure and stress become literally fatal in people who have lost large amounts of money, especially for those who cannot afford the losses. In addition to heart attacks and blood pressure problems, there are also those who decide to take their own lives intentionally due to psychological problems when they cannot accept or deal with the feeling of loss, especially when they have a family to support.

I can say that I am in control and I probably have a composed heart in gambling. If I lose, I don't take it seriously and if I win, I'm happy about that. Many gamblers aren't ready to accept defeat and that's why all they have to do is to think of how they can make themselves happy and content. Contentment is one reason why many of us can't accept it and all we want to have is to have more of it. That's the reason if someone who's won good amount of money and not yet happy, it's because they lack of contentment. Be grateful with any wins and take some profit so that you won't miss a lot of it when you're in there. Instead of losing more, taking more of the profits that you have is ideal than chasing.

Of course as a gambler watching a game that you have already place a bet on is really not good for your health, more especially if you are those type that normally experience high blood pressure and the team you bet on is losing it can lead you to shock, while because you don't have the mind to withstand it.

Like I said before - gamblers should normalize using something they know they won’t think about twice if they should lose it, if you use that kind of amount you really won’t be too bothered when you lose the money and you might even be able to watch the match and pay full attention despite being on the losing side.

I know not everyone has that mindset but if they should cultivate that habit of going my in small then it should help reduce that tension - for example think of someone who has $1000 in his account and then gamble $600 on a game, it’s obvious that they won’t be able to watch that match but if that same person should gamble lets say $4 out of the $1000 they’ll still be able to watch the match since the amount they are losing isn’t worth much to them as compared to the $600.
