The neutral position about gambling is the same like the positive one. So if is told some win and some lose you will put all money in the pockets of some "good guys" which are the owners of the casinos. Gambling is wrong people. That must be told with high voice and without hesitation. If you gamble soon or later all your money will gone. Period.

Of course it is wrong! There is almost nothing benefieatial in gambling except from learning how
houses work, what a house edge is and how to calculate odds and house edge, and maybe some probability theory.
After that, you end up owning considerably less money!

Not all gambling games are against the house.

Poker, sportsbetting, event betting, etc. are against other people, and the house only takes a small comission there on the profits.

You can have real edge there. I heard that pro english horse-betters usually earn 50,000-100,000 pounds yearly just by knowing the horses throughoutly.
Most of the time you loose, and it takes lot's of time, money, bets and effort to skill up.

Yet some people keep winning.
You don't have to place high bets to keep playing. Some people do it for the excitement and never win or lose a lot. Don't generalize!

Wierd, I´ve seen topics close because of giveaways in altcoins session, must be something related to specific sessions.

Bitcoin giveaways are always allowed. You can find a few on-going giveaways in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0, and hundreds of already over giveaways. Altcoin giveaways was no longer allowed since January 2014 with the rule specified in https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/giveaway-threads-are-not-allowed-434310.

Gambling can be a good form of entertainment in moderation. You should be careful not to get too addicted and only wager what you are willing to lose.

Gambling is not wrong, however if gambling becomes an addiction and hurts you or the people around you, it is wrong.

I think it is completely wrong because after starting slowly most of them will be addicted to this and will loose money in the end. So just avoid it if possible.

yes true, I am also addicted to gambling, but I was lucky I was not to spend money, I play only when it has the money and the money I get for free.
so gambling is not wrong, it all depends on us each.

How do you get money for free?

I don't think its possible to gamble for free, if you could then everybody would be gamblers since there is no risk.

I get free money from the giveaway in this forum, gambling sites that provide sign up and get a bonus (but rarely). there are a lot of free money in this forum Smiley

hum?? Huh Giveaways are totally forbidden here, please explain this to us.
since when are giveaways prohibited? pretty sure theyre not, just take a look in the games and rounds subsection, thats where they belong.
You must be well disciplined. You can manage to avoid getting addicted to it. The giveaway is to attract gamblers and get them step in gambling.
no, giveaways are promotions to draw people to their sites. "rakeback programs, loyalty programs," etc are the things that give people an incentive to continue gambling and possibly get addicted. in addition, i never mentioned anything about claiming giveaways or disciplining myself to stop gambling, your post made little to no sense given the context.

Also, many gambling sites have faucets, so you can gamble without actually putting money into it.

I rarely play dice and faucet in gambling really small, so I never do that. but I did get a giveaway here and then I use to play sports gambling or poker.
