Yes, that's true, when you experience a loss, such as losing the victory you have obtained, you will feel regret. This action tends to be carried out by every gambler, even though from the beginning of gambling they have set limits or targets but when everyone is in gambling it will be different. At the start of gambling, the motive is to withdraw the winnings that have been obtained, but when you gamble and win, of course a feeling of dissatisfaction will arise and encourage you to take big risky actions, such as increasing the bet amount, the aim of which is to get a bigger win too. This is indeed a problem that is often repeated by gamblers.

Apart from that, there are still other things that are often done repeatedly, such as depositing money back after experiencing a loss, because not accepting the result that ends in defeat causes many gamblers to deposit money back. instead of recovering losses or chasing wins, they instead experience bigger losses. all of this leads to regret. with careless actions ending everything at odds with one's own wishes. everything is in the opposite direction. Therefore, we should be able to introspect ourselves, so as not to make repeated mistakes that become impulsive actions.

They keep on adding as they have that aggressions inside them thinking that they might be able to recover the losses and might be possible that they'll be able to win some if they add more money, but like wise most of the time instead of recovering it's just an additional losses from your side and it really hurt your finances, to the point that if you unable to work on it you might lose more than what you can afford to let go.

Unusual things can be done by a person who already suffering from addiction, that kind of madness push them to do unexpected things like barrowing or stealing something or doing crimes just to please and continue their gambling.

in my opinion they do things like that because they have too much hope, so when they experience a loss they don't just stop there, they still deposit money because as you said they hope to recover the loss and be able to win with the next gambling, but it is clear that the possibility is still high. the same, there is no certainty of being able to win at gambling, no matter how often they deposit money in gambling there is no certainty of being able to win. They just repeat the same mistakes, depositing money back to gamble and losing all the time like that, even if they win, it is likely that the winnings they get will not be able to cover all the losses they have experienced while gambling.

Instead of gambling for fun, it ends up trapping them in bigger losses. with a cycle of addiction that causes them to experience huge losses. Excessive expectations often become a problem for those trapped in gambling addiction. But of course this happened because of their own actions, not because of encouragement from other people, so they should be able to accept the risk themselves. If they take it out on other people then that's not normal.

One common mistake is chasing losses, where gamblers try to recoup previous losses by continuing to bet, often leading to further financial setbacks.

Yes, that's what will happen if someone is unable to ignore the aggression in him until in the end it makes things even worse, one of the reasons that makes sense is because after all gambling has absolutely no certainty in terms of producing wins, so with this fact it is clear that the act of pursuing victory or restoring the situation will only increase the amount of loss because obviously I am sure that there is no way they can get recovery with just one try which means they will definitely make several attempts to pursue the recovery phase which is actually the fact about the uncertainty about the results at the end of the session will actually make them experience more losses and that will add to the number of previous losses.

Well it's true that someone who has entered the addiction phase usually does not hesitate to do things that are actually out of control that they cannot be held accountable for, like one of my friends who has been addicted, he even dared to use the company's money where he works in large amounts to gamble with the aim of returning the previous money that was lost which in the end everything was lost and he had to lose his job and also had to compensate for his behavior, and honestly I was very surprised when I heard it, I couldn't think why he could be that desperate. This is the bad thing when someone is already in the addiction phase, they do not hesitate to justify any means to get money to finance their gambling activities.

We have a clear problem: making bad decisions and not knowing when to stop. Aggression? Its a factor, but its about not accepting loss. Consider that gambling loses. The house always wins, therefore you'll never win large. Beating the market consistently is a fool's errand. Using company money for gambling is bad on many levels. Stealing is theft. Do't forget, this indicates addiction. Sad, truly.

We must discuss solutions. Helping individuals is more than ordering them to quit. Addiction support and education must be prioritized. No single try fixes this; mindsets must change. Remember, I've seen everything. I dealt with enormous stakes in the trenches. To change things, you need courage, determination, and smarts. But its possible. We can win if we're strong and smart.

I think especially for someone who has entered the addiction phase, there is no stopping before they run out of all their budget within a certain time when they run a session, and this is a situation where someone will always end the session with bad results when they gamble, inability in accepting real consequences in gambling, especially when losing and also never feeling satisfied with whatever amount of winnings is generated when a winning situation is the cause. Even though it is clear as you said that after all gambling is to benefit the house as a whole and the gamblers only get a small share and that also comes only when they are lucky as winning is always synonymous with "chance" situations.

For the problems experienced and committed by my friend, maybe I would also say that it was a bad or even stupid action, as a result he had to lose his job and also had to compensate for his stupid actions, lately I often monitor him as well. by helping him to get out of the world of gambling slowly in any way that is reasonable and effective, as you said, support and education to direct people who are addicted to rehabilitation must be prioritized and what I do is I always invite my friend to do other things when he is bored, for example going gardening or watching a film, I always try to divert his mind from gambling when we are having a boring time because usually that is the situation that makes gamblers think and feel curious about gambling.

Nothing can be accurately predicted. Just as a gambler cannot predict the outcome of his gamble, an investor cannot say with certainty whether an investment will make a profit or lose money. Most of the times it is seen that gamblers are too confident in themselves and from that confidence they take big risks in gambling but the risks they are taking can cause them to lose their money in a moment. People lose money by gambling and some people gain money but regardless of profit and loss no one stops gambling later on. A person who gambles and gains money gambles again to gain more and a person who gambles and loses money gambles again to recover his losses. That is, the gambler will continue to gamble regardless of profit or loss.
When gamblers feels too confidence about their gambling activity and believe about winning on their gambling games, they will not have a big chance to win because in the gambling, there is uncertainty that they will get. They can win but they can also lose their money and it needs wisely to spend their money so they don't used too much money to playing gambling. If the gamblers can holds themselves by not using too much money to playing gambling, they will not lose much money and even they can saving their money for the other things. Maybe they can wins some money but that's not guarantee them to gets the money every time they are playing gambling. They must prevents themselves for playing gambling too often because that can makes them gets more problems that they can't imagine.
It is very difficult for a gambler to gamble responsibly while not gambling with large sums of money, gambling with small sums of money and maintaining complete control over gambling. Very few gamblers can gamble responsibly and gamble under control. As long as we have control over our gambling we will not have much chance of losing money from gambling but once we lose control we will only lose money. No matter how experienced a gambler is, he can never say that he will win by gambling, but that he will lose more than his chances of winning. Since there is a considerable chance of loss, the gambler must gamble responsibly and take control of the money and himself before gambling.

~ My question was, When is this big day? Yes, you might be lucky one day, but when is that? Is there a guarantee for it? How long will you continue to do this for the big day? It's better to stop today than regret it.

In gambling, there can be no such thing as exact winning times or guarantees of winning. No one owes anyone anything. Why even wait for a win that will change your life? It is the same as dreaming about a prince on a white horse, who never comes for the bride and the girl has to marry the one who is more liked from her acquaintances. All because our desires do not always coincide with our capabilities. Most gamblers set themselves difficult to achieve goals and on the way to them give up. Many because of this lose self-control, which leads to problems.

Once it comes to making mistakes, i think they are innumerable, we keep making mistakes over time, some had made a lot such that they couldn't remember, but the ones we made and are still aware of are what we pick on and count as mistakes, some could actually cost us while we may not be that affected by some mistakes made as well, all have to do with the way we are gambling and the depth to which it occurrence happened and affect us.
Any mistake we make that doesn't have any significant negative effect in our lives is not to be considered as a mistake, mistakes are meant to affect us negatively in one way or the other, and to varying degrees, this is what makes it a mistake, without it negatively having any effect on us, then that simply is not a mistake but something that just happened.

Imagine wanting to bet for team A but someone talked you into betting for team B, and later on, team A wins the match, you are going to feel bad for you made the mistake of not following your heart, but Listing to someone else's opinion over yours, and this could happen vise versa.

But on the other hand, imagine you wanted to bet on team A but some one asked you to bet on team B, and you ended up betting for team B, and later on, the game ended in a draw, you won't feel bad, or not supposed to feel bad because there is no mistake made, for even if you had betted on team A, you would have still lost.

I hope this is clear enough to understand.

One of the mistake I have made before while gambling is chasing my loss thou I have discussed it in one of my thread don't chases your loss,  out of emotional devastation and the wired feeling that comes along with lossing overwhelmed me back then where I constantly be gambling in other to win back my loss, is was huge  mistake because I have made that correction never to gamble with the mindset of chasing your loss if not you will end up losing more of your funds. However it is a bitter truth but I have learnt my lessons.
This is a thing most of us gamblers did in the past before we repented and charted a new course. I think it is a natural and learning process that many people pass through before experience make them realize it is a mistake hence, the need to change. Only few people who are fortunate to learn from the mistakes of others are able to escape this process.

In addition to the mistake of chasing losses, I had this habit of increasing my stake upon incurring losses. This has done be nothing but bad and made me lose my entire funds. The strange part of it is that I couldn't even stop myself until the entire funds was lost. I'm happy today those are in the past and I can only look back to those days and appreciate the journey that brought me this far in my gambling career.

Peace be with you!
If you are over confident, greed will follow and that is what had happened to me with my lottery bets I think that was last year. Really has no good results it just got me overspent on tickets instead of buying something to eat. That is why I am now careful on making gambling decisions even though I refrain from buying lottery tickets for now due to controversy but I will surely apply the lessons I've learnt from the past fo my future gambling activities so I won't end up regretful ever again.

Of course, everyone has a sense of greed in different ways, but of course with money, everyone definitely wants more. Even though when you win by gambling, of course there is a desire to get more, and if there is no self-control then it is likely that the gambling will continue. indeed greed is a problem that often occurs with gambling, I think all gamblers definitely experience this, not only when they win, of course when gambling ends in defeat it can also make them greedy and make them gamble again by depositing money. return to pursue winnings or to recover losses.

Of course, winning at gambling is so tempting that many people are trapped by those who want to win, even though winning at gambling cannot be obtained according to their hearts' desires. Winning at gambling can be obtained if we are just lucky, but many gamblers force themselves to gamble because they really want to win, so the gambling they do is motivated to chase victory, not to have fun.

It's a trapped indeed, since when you are in the winning side you wanted to push for more that's greed that dominating and instead of being contented and quit your way out to enjoy, you'll choose to stay and keep pushing aiming for more, you only realize that you are doing wrong when you start suffering from losses, when losing streaks start to show up.

You find yourself regretting, almost a good win if you manage to control more on self-control but what more is you'll just keep repeating the same mistake as if you add up more money to re-try your chance, you just do that same mistake, allowing greediness to dominate and failed to control your emotion.

I am sure over confidence must be avoided in anything you do, not only gambling. Gamblers are corrupted by over confidence after their first ever big win. I think exeggarated confidence is weakness.
Another issue I believe with gamblers is that they sometimes do not give up. Some gamblers grow hatred towards some specific game after they experience extraordinary amount of losses. And they just keep trying. Sometimes its must better to give up, clear your mind and return to gamble with another game.

Maybe they thought that because they had won a large amount of money before, they were good and they really knew every nook and cranny of gambling? But no, because we all know that  gambling is too broad to discuss and I believe that if it is not because of luck why we win, maybe it is also because of the Smart strategy that good and veteran gamblers make that is why they win. truly that we can't be over confident in gambling especially since we are not sure when we will be lucky enough to win.

Yeah gamblers risk more and more to keep gambling regardless of profit losses. One thing that gamblers should keep in mind for gambling is that it is not possible to prevent losses in gambling, it is more risk on oneself. Gamblers make the same mistakes over and over due to lack of patience. You should proceed with confidence when you see that it is better to stop losing more money in gambling then the result will not be too bad.

If a gambler dares to risk the losses he has experienced then I can say that the gambler will dare to risk his money to recover previous losses. Of course, gamblers cannot prevent these losses but can only accept these losses if they are truly determined to do so, meaning that the gambler has been influenced by greed and impatience in gambling.
Yes, if the gambler can accept and be aware then he will immediately stop and go home to calm his confused mind and if he wants to come back then it would be better if his condition has improved.

Most of them believe in the stories they read online, which made them believe in winning without considering the loss. If these people put this energy into investment, I believe they will do better, but the issue is that they often lack patience, and they always want it to be effortless.

An investor must of course have responsibility and be patient in managing his finances. This is what gamblers who make these 2 mistakes do not have. Yes it's true they think that if someone else wins then they can win it too. Even though gambling is not mathematics and we cannot really predict accurately. We know whether someone who wins on the news is truly a lucky man or whether it is just a small victory among the many defeats he has experienced.
Nothing can be accurately predicted. Just as a gambler cannot predict the outcome of his gamble, an investor cannot say with certainty whether an investment will make a profit or lose money.
