Gambling itself or the act of gambling isn't necessarily a sickness. Addiction to gambling, sure. Addiction to anything, whether it be gambling, porn, drugs/alcohol, food, is indeed a problem for many people.
Yeah you cannot blame gambling it self because people are getting addicted to it. So lets stop blaming gambling and start looking at the people who gamble to much.

there is a big difference when you say "gambling is a sickness" or when you say "the person is sick (addicted to gambling)".
narcotics is addicting and harmful and it should be considered a negative thing but things like gambling is not like that so if someone cannot control themselves it is their own fault and not the gambling fault.

Worst thing is, if you can't get money to sustain your gambling addiction, you might turn to crime to get money. But that is only worst case scenario. I don't think there are that kind here. We are just mostly light gamblers and still controllable. But still, gambling could lead to sickness if left uncheck.
there is a possibility to steal other people's money just to sustain their addiction to gambling just like being addicted to drugs and other illegal things.

Gambling is not sickness but it could become an addiction and these are two different things. Selfcontrol is very important and people who are addictive need to be helped because this may turn in very serious problem for them, their family and working environment

But it depends on how you are gambling..There are some people, usually poor people, that invest all their money to hope in a win just because it is a change to change their life. But in this way they will lose more and more, and not just money! Sometimes this is a cause for the lose of the family too!

That's the hardest thing when you lost you family because of gambling. You know, it would not bring good to anyone who gamble for profit by betting huge amount cause it always ends in a sad consequences in life. People with weak decision making should stay away from gambling cause their is a huge risk which is the addiction, and knowing addiction in never good in life. I gamble and I am far from sick lol. It becomes a problem and illness when you're addicted and spend what you cannot afford to lose. Saying you win in the begining and then lose is also wrong, there is no rule to say you will win at the start.
If you lost everything I would say it is time to get a decent career to focus on and actually get enough money to pay for rent and bills because there is no way signature earnings can do that.
I can totally relate to it. There was a time when I had become addicted to it. I have lost my fortune, took loan, gamble again, lost again and moved back to signature campaigns. 
For an experience it wasn't that bad but one should know limits to gamble because beyond a limit you can't earn in gambling.

For your kind information, you are commenting on the career of a mechanical engineer who is currently working for a fortune 500 MNC. By saying, I have lost my fortune in gambling, I meant I had lost all the bitcoins I had earned till that date and that was the time when I was a student. I do not need to pay rent because I have my own house and as far as bills are concerned they are no big deal. I just earn bitcoins and enrol myself in signature campaigns only as a hobby. So it's better to focus on yours and not to make personal comments on anyone without knowing them properly.

I disagree with you man. Gambling is not a blessing. Don't consider it as a gift from God.
Being addicted to gambling should be considered as a gambling syndrome.
Gambling is basically not a blessing nor a sickness, whatever it becomes for someone it is their own decision to make it so.
If someone keeps gambling then it surely becomes a sickness for him because he will be addicted to it then and won't be able to leave it.
