Sure, sure... Well, I need to take a break from the code optimizer.
Let me play with the shiny Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 64...

You are showing me CNHeavy on an 8gb card. They can do more h/s than a 4gb on CN7.  My 4gb CNHeavy rx580 run 8-850 as well however still less than 1k on CN7.  Those are definately good numbers however the problem with showing a Hynix card doing 1k is that you dont know what card. Some cards are shit and some do very well. My ASUS Dual cards are dialed up higher than yours and acheive less....Most of them can do stable 2050 where you only have 2030.

Unless I am missing something my point still stands due to difference in cards. If you go on anorak.tech there are all kinds of bios that do very well with hynix and some that cannot do well depending on the card as well.

Thanks

All my 6 x RX580 are 4gb cards.  And they do more than ~1k on CNV7  (screenshot in previous post).  Even the Hynix ones do (1k tuned for XMR) but I settled for a common strap for ETH+XMR and that's why they are doing ~975. memory is clocked lower because my timings are aggressive. Yup, there are cases where few cards can't clock as high as other ones with similar memory type but every Elpida card I have clocks similarly the core voltage required varies though.  Some are fine with 875mV some need 912mV

The new code analyzer/optimizer is finally working with the CryptoNight kernel.
Debugging was so painful...

@zawawa since you requested comparison.  Here's some numbers from SRB

Very nice! Thank you, thank you. I am all for healthy, fair competition.
This is actually quite exciting for me for some reason...

@zawawa since you requested comparison.  Here's some numbers from SRB

Vega 56 (Bios modded to V64.  887mV 1477 core and 1100 memory) achieves 2020 H/s

6 x RX580  4GB (Hynix + Elpidas) on Cryptonight Heavy does ~800 per card.  They do 995 (Hynix) and 1030 H/s (Elpidas) on Cryptonight-V7.

I have tried multiple variants of GGS earlier and haven't been able to match these speeds.
All of them had some sort of issues either during cleanup or launch or would just use too much CPU.
I will try the command line variant of GGS.  I don't see the point of GUI when there are so many tabs and config you need to take care of.

I appreciate the effort you're putting in to improve the miner.

This is a terrible statement, especially for new people that think they can achieve those values....  I agree that GGS is not on par with some other miners like SRB for CN given the same conditions however I have numerous 570/580.  Not one has Samsung memory, and not one can reach 1000h/s.  To suggest they can is going to make people do a great deal of unnecessary testing always with the possibility of bricking their card....I would love to see one of my 580s doing over 1000h/s at 65w(even through GPZ and not at the wall)...you would be my hero if you could make a Elpida rx580 4gb ASUS dual OC or a Nitro RX580 OC 4gb Hynix acheive that on CN7....

Well.  Here you go 6 x RX580 4GB (5 of them are Elpidas and 1 Hynix) on Cryptonight-V7 (17+ hours)

And just for the kicks here's an RX 570 8gb doing 1260 H/s on Cryptonight-Heavy.

Hi Zawawa

Your miner is the best I have tried.
Have a good GUI, more info, more setting and more faster then other.

I have 1 RX Vega 64 and 1 RX 580, and I have 1.7KH/s and 180W for vega and 950H/s and 65W for RX 580, in cryptonight v7.
Maybe I can work a little bit more on setting of my vega.

Thank you so much
you should have 2.1kh/s@160watt(wall) with vega and 1050-1150h/ @65w (gpu-z) for rx580 with right miner (not this crap) and right settings

I find your comment rather disgusting. Not all Vegas can achieve 2.1KH/s, the FE can without a doubt, but not even all 64. Same for 580, a lot of them are around 1KH/s, even with the right mem and the "magical strap".

GGS is for any algo slower than the best miner, but Zawawa worls hard to improve it and it's getting better. NHML is much worse than GGS, I still would not qualify it as "crap".

If it was free, I would agree. But it is not, it contains devfee if I'm not mistaken. If you want to have devfee miner you should be sure that it is om par by speed with other available miners and provide strong user experience and support. GGS in not good in both senses so I would call it crap.
And all vega64's with samsung mem can achieve 2.1 kh/s.

Well, it's practically free because it's open-source.
You just can't expect "strong user experience and support" without paying for it.
I am doing my best with limited resources, though. We will see...

Edit: I should add I am tremendously grateful for those handful of you who are willing to pay the DEVFEE without
compromising this admittedly naive "business model." See, I have been an open-source developer almost my entire
life, and I just cannot change my heard at this point in my life.

Well, GGS can do that, too... if you put time and effort into it, that is.
I will make things easier for you with the next version, though. LOL

It seems like X16R is the way to go as far as GPU mining is concerned.
I was to port my Equihash kernel to GGS, but with new ASIC's, it's probably not worth it.
Well, I should port it anyway just in case Equihash is included in the X*R algorithm mix...

Not Bad Mr Zawawa

https://imgur.com/a/amyvaCH

Just a 9Mh/s X16r RVN mining with an RX 480 8gb Samsung..... that is 1 Mh/s more than the other miners

Hopefully the new Kernels will speed it up to a GTX 1070 Level

@Iamtutut.

I am not saying that the stock value are different then the one GGS place.
I am saying that the cards rx 580 micron memory that I have does give plenty (PLENTY) of errors above the value I indicated. In fact they work , and then they suddendly stop working after a while at 1300.

I honestly don't care if they give me worst performance compared to others, I will be just happy to be able to decide to myself what is best for the the card I have.

Zawawa can place a button , a thick or sign to say: go with  stock (or not in my case) if he can.

If not, in the algos that are problematic ( X16s in that case), I will use something else.

And in some case,  I will use something else ANIWAY because running a card at 1300 and not at 1130 for mining Etash will consume too much energy.

He have to make the best product for the majority of people, I understand that and I don't believe there are plenty of RX 580 8gb Asus Dual with Micron around ( and crappy yeld..) aniway.

Oh, last, cards are "bios modded" in the sense that I just used 1 click with polaris, nothing more.

Hi everybody,

I like to mine Featercoin on Miningpoolhub,

what to set on custom pool?

I tried this:

Host: hub.miningpoolhub.com
Login: myFTCwalletaddress
Port: 20510
Password: c=FTC

but I got this:

Authorization failed.
Would you like to stop mining now?

also log shows this:

2018-05-17 18:44:49.5130 [8] ADL.ADL_Overdrive5_PowerControl_Set() failed with Device #0.

and so on..

Thanks a lot  in advance for your help.

Guten morgen, wie gehts es Ihnen? Well, I would love to provide support for GGS in German one day. LOL
I will include a fix for this problem in the next version. No worries.
