FYI - ROI is very hard not a days since every month someone drops the price 50% of your miner or add double hash power for the same price. When that happens is coinwarz.com number you thought you make every day is also cut it half. Day trading is the only way to get ROI if you know what you are doing. You can triple up on some good coins. BC, DRK, CINNI, etc.

I think Gridseed need to do whats right or they will may lost a lot of business.

I disagree - gridseed does not have to do anything - gridseed is not the company that came out with a cheaper replacement - if they did..it would be a different story, but clearly they did not.

complain to zeus, gawminers and hashra for releasing faster/cheaper units.... LOL

No, you are missing the whole point. If Gridseed can afford to sale baldes in this price now, why did they price them so high in the first place? It is just pure greed. They could price them this low even before, but they wanted to make more money. Ok, wanted to make more money? Fine. But dont drop the price by 40% the next day! I cant even sale those now. They really dont care about customers.

Because you always sell at the top of what they market will bear - Business 101 my friend. Why would any business sell anything cheaper than they had to?

I've got an idea - go to your boss and tell him you want him to sell your product or service for as little as possible, he will then ask you - ok - what's the minimum amount of money you're willing to work for?

and yes - they had to drop the price the next day because market condition changed - that's business. adapt or perish.

Waere super thx!

Cheers!

English translation:
Miner run at 100% only the UI says that a blade is not running, that happens about every couple of hours alternately. Can you explain a bit how the UI related to the miners? Of course, not too much because the competition reads with. Would be great thx!

Sometimes the reporting doesn't make it up to the API, the tolerance is pretty tight, so the API expects to hear about each miner, when it does not it assumes it is down. It is a tricky balance, if I increase the tolerance it might misreport it the other way around, that would be worse.

Jeff, thanks for getting my miners all straightened out (great job)... and your working on a Sunday none-the-less to make customers like myself happy makes it even more appreciated *(TY!).

Honestly, I've lost some cash on the price drops of my miners but I'm really glad that you guys (gals) are sticking in there by building us this nice front-end to our miners, the constant support to my questions, the relentless overtime to make it happen -IOW's it does soften the blow to my lost of value in my miners == you still continue to be top shelf in my books ==.

-P.S. I hope you get to read this before it gets delete for some reason or another that I honestly don't understand myself -

Thanks again!

Read and much appreciated.

Good afternoon and happy Mother's Day!

I took a small break from my relentless work efforts this fine afternoon and had a wonderful conversation with my Mother which was long overdue.

At any rate I wanted to inform you guys that I have a general reliability update going out this afternoon which address a number of things but the main thing it addresses is the issues that some of you have had recently with pool switching. The update is a combination of UI features and back-end automation. The UI features will make the use of the system more clear while also adding one click reconfiguration of the entire account. This is especially useful for some of our clients who have many devices, the current update process is more cumbersome than it needs to be.

We are quite well staffed today and are sorting out any and all hosted issues. If you have a question, concern or comment you are encouraged to submit a brand new ticket by emailing [email protected] rather than responding to an old or closed ticket. Creating a new usassigned ticket gets more eyes and should lead to a faster response. Responding to a previously assigned ticket may delay our response as a single person may get tied up doing something other than tickets, we do however always have staff addressing new tickets .

Thank you for your continued support.

As much as I love mining and cryptocurrency, I have to put out a message of caution for anyone new looking to mine.  Calculating ROI gives a false impression for those looking to make their money back.  Because of all the new script miners that are going to be released for the remainder of the year...ROI may be a difficult thing to come by.  The more you spend...the less you may get back.  Just keep that in mind when dropping $6k for a mining box.  Price drops or not - mining may become a fruitless en devour:  where only the vendors of ASICs profit while the miners eat their investment.
I agree, but it only takes one coin to take off that you happened to get lucky on to make it all worth it.  When I started I rationalized that at least a GPU does have an alternate use...or should I say a main use LOL as a GPU so it stings less when they are of no use to mine with.

a bit confused 1 gridseed = 333 so 3 are 999 or 1 mh   correct?

1 fury = 1 mh correct?

power is close to the same correct?

so buying 3 gridseeds at 60 each if you are a member and have room is as good as buying 1 fury at 199

or is my math off?

I ask since I decided to get 8 more gridseed's my gridseed's run at freq 850 and pull 9 watts.

So at the fury level It looks like my gridseed buy coming on monday was better for me.

Am I correct or do I have a math issue?

You are correct. Pricing of all 2nd gen Scrypt ASICs is just too high at the moment. GAW, Inno, Hashra, Zeus, etc. All about 25-50% more expensive then they really should be IMO. With that said, GAW is competitively priced with the others.

the black widow gets 13 mh at 320 watts +- 10%

so if it gets 13mh at 352watts

my 30 gridseeds got 10.2mh at 292 watts

So the black widow is about 28 watts a mh

and my 30 gridseed setup is  about 28mh.

now if I order 30 gridseeds at 60 each I am at 1800 usd  and I earn 18000  points getting me  like 1 more gridseed.

this gear is all close to 28-30 watts an mh

So basically gridseeds at 60 each are close to tied (value wise) with the fury and the black widow.

looks like i need to go up to the step up the falcon to get a price gain.

or continue buying 5 gridseeds at 300 for all 5.

GAW Miners,
I am looking to buy a few Furys and maybe more down the road.  After all the Gridseed termoil I'd love to be a customer of such a loyal company, GAWMiners.  I am conflicted between your Fury and the Zeus Blizzard.  If you guys offered a bonus cloud hash like they do this would be a done deal.  Do you have any plans on doing so within the next few days?  I understand you are dealing with the Gridseed issue but I plan on ordering within the next few days and wanted to reach out to make sure I make the right move.

Thanks

What's up with this hosted miners down?

I'm at the same situation, and whenever they finally get up they are not mining on my pool. Mails have been sent from Gawminers regarding this affecting 20% of all users, so I hope they get this up and running again soon Smiley
Same here, have been down for 24h and still waiting, had so much downtime in the last month that it's not even funny.  I suggest they tell us where the problem is, if it's a controller or blade issue not wanting to come out of reboot it may be better for us to just take ownership of those damn blades and be able to support them ourselves which would also relieve them of that nightmare.  I'm soooo fed up with these blade issues.

I honestly thought these issues were being us after the last update when I finally was able to mine at full speed for an entire day but since then I've been mining at 50% hashrate, I get 50% accepted and 50% discarded no matter what pool I use (when it's not stuck in reboot for 4 - 6 hours or when both panels come back from reboot).

Losing hope....

-- One would hope we would get a chance to at least try to break even on those $1600 piece of crap.

I would highly recommend taking ownership - nothing to do with GAW, but blades can be finnicky and if you have a rpi or Linux box around Sandown111's cpuminer runs like a dream, get less than 1% hw+r and 24/7 uptime at around 5.6M per blade @ 838freq. Plus then Gaw would have less to manage with whatever problems they are experiencing. Of course I spent days moving between systems, hubs, and power arrangements to get to this optimal setup, and that is for 3 blades, the 4 my co-worker got were easy from the start.

I agree with you, I don't believe it has much to do with GAW either, I don't see how they would have much to do with a device refusing to reboot or taking forever to reboot.  They're likely doing the best they can do with the crap they were given.  I'm seriously thinking about taking ownership, the only thing holding me off is having to invest more money into a raspberry after paying so much for a miner itself that will likely never be profitable at this point.

Is there any information on the buy back program? I'd love to get rid of the gridseeds I bought. Pieces of garbage honestly. Damn things constantly crash and I spend 30-45 minutes getting them all back up because most of them refuse to restart. I need to constantly reboot them over and over to finally get them up again.

I love wasting hours of my day trying to keep these things running....not.

Maybe they are not the nicest miners, but they are certainly not garbage.
I have 20 of them running 24/7 at 7Mhs and I never have any problem.
I use the latest CPU miner from 'Siklon' on github, this works perfectly.
Of course I would also like to get rid of them and buy something more compact.
As it seems now I lose about €2000,- on these Gridseeds because I bought my first 10 pack very early, even before GAW was founded.
Sh't happens.
