I think I read somewhere that Bitcointalk would cooperate with authorities if subpoenaed, including backups.
Furthermore, if the agencies have been keeping an eye on this clusterfuck for months now, it makes sense that they would be archiving everything of interest, including hashtalk and perhaps a few threads here with all linked material. I'm sure they have more serious tools than archive.today or archive.org.
Sadly no, I think it's dead since mid last year or so.
As a mod on Litecointalk, I can tell you that any entity that hosts a forum such as this is legally obligated to respond with any subpoenas. There is no "ifs" about it.
I will say however that lawyer/legal threats can be properly dismissed .
