Of course he would destroy that piddley amount after getting caught red-handed trying to steal them. He wanted to steal them because greed knows no bounds, but the reality is that Josh&Co get that many free coins every 2 days (on top of the Millions they already have) and the market can not soak up but a small fraction of that as they dump it and stuff their pockets with fools' BTC. Now the faithful will think Josh is not a scammer (briefly) and he can continue to ruthlessly rip them off. These assholes are riding the tiger, it is all about not getting torn apart right now, they then deal with tomorrow when it comes.
I don't think they ever even explained why they were testing on the main network despite being asked a bunch of times. What a joke.

So they have 'given all of the profits back to the community'... how exactly do they plan to do the indefinitely delayed buyback again? Not like they have any income besides selling cheap Antminers at the moment, plus 50 staff (which certainly isn't 'giving it all back' for such a small company). He's pretty much admitting the CAF is gone and the CFTC thing was bullshit.
Not to mention they must have gotten hit with so many Hashlet chargebacks, wonder how they're handling those... Their credit card processor must really hate them right about now

The coins are indeed destroyed:
Fees 113,344.0 XPY
(XPY network destroys all fees)
I don't know whether the amount is adequate for test coins + compounding. It's also unlikely that the destroyed coins were the same that should have been destroyed. In other wrods it doesn't answer the question why the testing coins made their way to exchanges and where did those destroyed coins come from.
Also none of that really matters while they continue to stake at 350%.

It makes no difference to destroy a small amount of coins or even a reasonably large amount when the coin generation on Prime controllers is huge and Homero still has millions of coins in his pocket.
