BTW Thanks for crunching the numbers on XPY way back when, vancefox! ...  I was only able to see the light when I saw you break it down & expose it for the impossibility that it was.

Everyone was lying...except Maths.

While I appreciate the thanks, I can't take all the credit... there were plenty of people besides me talking about the umm... issues of this "coin".

Heylo all. Been lurking for a long time here but I'm curious:
Why do people not like cryptsy? Other than the whole prime controller xpy-usd crap.

Because stuff like:

Thanks for the info but I was hoping for something more. This barely has context. I can gather that someone wanted to use cryptsy to buy coins off the books, but did they comply with the request?

I guess I'm looking for something more.

yes yes. im sure thats true. you love information

maybe big vern is using the same law offices Garza used. all these tactics are 1:1 copy
next step cease and desist letter for coinfire then on to physical threats and finally radio silence...

this time there are multiple people on the defense team tho. Vern, mullick and bitjohn
possibly all criminals   Cool

Our attorneys are pretty up on technology so they have an account in our group communication system and they've said they are awaiting the C&D to be sent. Nothing has arrived as of yet.

Are you claiming to be Michael?  Why wouldn't you use the old account?

I am Marcus. My name is on the article byline Wink

Edit to add: Mike is on the road for 17 hours or so to meet with some attorneys.

The last time I checked (~6 months ago) Cryptsy was bringing in a grand total of about 4 BTC per day in trading fees. And Paul Vernon says that Cryptsy has ~20 employees (I have heard as high as 30) in this "article". Where does the money come from to pay all those wages and rent for a big fancy physical office and such? What exactly are all these employees doing? Certainly not customer support, that's for sure.

They switched to charging withdrawal fees instead of trading fees. Just haven't decided yet if the fee should be 0.5% or 0.05% or maybe 5% or 50%.

https://www.cryptsy.com/pages/fees

Quote
Fees as of 09/20/2015

No Trade Fees on All Markets

0%, Zilch, Nada, Nothing. No trade fees, period.
Withdrawal Fees

Cryptsy charges a base fee which is typically aligned with the network fee imposed by each coin + 0.5%.

What are Cryptsy's Fees?

Our fees for market trades are ZERO!

Withdrawal fees are .05% plus whatever the network transaction fee is for any specific coin

This is the best paid "news" that Cryptsy could buy?

Tamer: Who would you narrate to Newsbtc ‘s readers the “Cryptsy” story?

Nice word salad there, Tamer. Is Josh Garza your copy editor FFS?  Roll Eyes

The article screenshot shows they misspelled the site name. It is Coin Fire. Not coinfire, not Coinfire. Coin Fire.

Also, they are "probably" going to sue us. People don't get legal advise to publicly say on the Internet we are going to sue you. They get legal advice to STFU, get a C&D and then start the process. This is very abnormal.

no, this is very Garza like. I bet they're under investigation and just want to make some more time to make it to the exit.

It's crazy how similar cryptsy acts and talks to Homero

Perhaps they have the same attorneys and are working from the same playbook?

The Scamcoats are coming!
Two things stand out:

1. 'some guy' just handed over a virtual coin shitting machine to me dunt know who he is or what it is  Roll Eyes
2. unlicensed at the local level has always been the contention. this has been discussed everyone from day one

http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/10/07/cryptsys-ceo-a-hard-man-in-the-face-of-coinfires-aggro/

What I find funny is that the article is pretty clear. I wrote it so I thought it was clear. The licensing isn't the real issue here. That is just a minor issue in the vast sea of many other issues.

They keep focusing on the smallest issue though and instead ignore the bigger repercussions of the other issues.

This isn't about a license, this is about a full on manipulation of markets, manipulation and involvement in other aspects of altcoins.

They seem really focused on what is the most minor of issues instead of the larger, major ones.

It is so peculiar. Taking a closer look at the good doctor:

https://www.linkedin.com/in/drtamersameeh?trk=pulse-det-athr_prof-art_hdr

I think this is now the second "doctor" fucking around in this sphere. What proper doctors fart around with cryptocurrency and blog writing and so-called news sites covering it? Shouldn't you be in the hospital saving lives or at conferences brushing up on your knowledge? Weirdos. Who would ever take them seriously to "fix" human thngs? Likewise that "president" of some seemingly serious financial institution or association? Fucking around on some rinky dink forum playing with shitcoins.  Make no sense whatsoever.

Or does.  Cheesy
