That's it Smiley it can be saved to file to if it didn't and then used again over over on another BFG etc just like in minera, in minera it just easier to do , better to look at .

Hi, i had 5 of the compacs running, then switched a few around for better airflow, and 1 of the 5 wont start to hash - (it was previously)

The green light is on, nut no blinking.

I started with a different USB 2.0 powered hub, and was running in cgminer fine.

Then connected the ras pi running the modded version of cgminer for the compacs and all 5 were fine and hashing.

Is there a way to reset that one that doesn't hash now?

I am just running them at freq of 175 and the potentiometer is top left corner on each (flat part)

The other 4 are hashing at around 9.5 to 10 GH/s each

thanks

unplug it and plug it back in i my stick stops some times even if i use CG I just unplug it then plug it back with BFG run in and it picks right up  you didn't  try that yet but it worked for me . i only really wanted one stick or id Polly have more I'm waiting more for the pods and the bigger miners to comes or hope to come from GekkoScience later down the road . There miners seem to run better then any i have used in the two years Ive been mining. I'm not just saying that they do .i don't kiss but so to speak i do get in a lot of trouble form time to time because i don't care what i say .

yea ive tried unplugging and plugging back in a few times, just wonder if it got messed up somehow, even though it has a sold green light on it?

what i had to do when that happened to me on my windows machine i had to go into device manager and uninstall and delete the drivers for the compac's then refresh and let windows find the drivers for a Silicon labs cp210x usb to uart bridge (com) then if they dont work do the zadiag usb driver change and that worked

I use PI's, but yea I guess you would have to on a Windows box Smiley .I guess that's the nice thing about PI's you never really have to deal with driver ever just other issue like updates won't update due to bad paths form the last up date etc . PI use way less power , i have yet to try to run Windows IoT  on PI i don't see a reason to .

if you don't know how export a BFG.config in BFG its the same as CG  hit your S key in BFG while it running then i think it says W to write in the list if that helps any and name whatever and don't for get were you saved it unlike minera were you hit save In UI it asks were to put it on your PC at bottom of one of the setting .

not right now its plugged into a usb 2.0 extension cord into a usb 3 slot as for the power per slot i am not sure currently i am using .7v per miner and also a usb powered fan connected on the same hub

as for my config im using a .bat file

bfgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://us-central01.miningrigrentals.com:3333 -u cavaliersrus.22284 -p x --set cbm:clock=x0b82

it is in my bfgminer 5.4.0 folder as bfgminer.bat

that hub has how much power per data port?

also do you mind sharing the config you used successfully?

Also are you using a USB 3.0 cable directly into your PC?

Thanks!

right now till i get my minera back up and running ive been running 4 sticks on a unmodded powered usb3 hub i got from microcenters

there running 300 MHZ at .700 - .705

very proud of them running im getting on bfgminer

73.53/72.48/64.69Gh/s

cbm 0 18.38/18.12/16.15 Gh/s
cbm 1 18.40/18.11/16.12 Gh/s
cbm 2 18.41/18.11/16.01 Gh/s
cbm 3 18.40/18.11/16.38 Gh/s

after an hour

being im not used to running without minera i am not sure what all that means anybody care to enlighten me please do so i cant wait till i can get my minera back up and running

which USB 3.0 hub is it from microcenter?  and what version of bfgminer are you running?

I had no luck with my USB 3.0 Anker hub running bfgminer.

thanks

I started with a different USB 2.0 powered hub- it was from the old BUYAHASH I found in microcenter which claims to be able to push at least 1Amp per port, and was running in cgminer fine. - unsure of how its able to push at least 1 Amp per port? it is 5Amps total i think?

here is the link to the hub page at microcenter and a breif description:

http://www.microcenter.com/product/431863/10-port_usb_20_hub_w-_power_supply

"Need a cheap, high powered hub? This is the best one weve tested that is compatible with Raspberry Pis and other devices that require the older USB 2.0 protocol. Made by the same manufacturers as our 20-port hub, this model is noticably cheaper, while still ensuring that every port gets the power it needs.Included is a 12v/5a power supply, USB 2.0 cable, and hub. This model is designed for ports that require a high amount of electricity, and should be able to provide at least 5v/1a, or greater per port."

I don't know exactly how to explain but understand how it works but the last number over like in minera is what you are doing pool side per stick that's pretty sweet actually 16 +  GH per stick pool side.

The other two speeds do a lot but the main thing is some thing like what side just said CG does  .

I don't know about BFG, but cgminer-gekko has a fairly granular lookup table (the first-post list is copied directly) and does a greater-than lookup to pick the highest available frequency not exceeding the input value.

same with BFG they all do about the same maybe in different ways at different times but it's all about the same .   the only really big difference between the two is the falling out the Developers, had with each other .  Sad  sadly .

but i won't being that up any more, but that's what happen.

this is what I get:
freq=260Mhs
V= 0.75V

So I have 2 sticks running on a USB3.0 hub, no Y cables, at 250 freq, and they are faster than yours at 260:

I have 1 stick running at 262.5 freq on a USB2.0 hub that supports 1A per port:

I don't think freq 260 is directly supported by the chip, you should try frequencies from the list that are directly supported.

Well 250Mhs for 15Ghs doesn't make sense... as it should be 13.75Ghs, but you have only 2 sticks, so more power...
I only have 36W available.

The datasheet has timing for freqs in increment of 25Mhs.
And Bitmain gives "typical" hash rates but no mention of any restriction in frequency...(and gives only 6 examples)

I think the first post gives some granularity in freq just to give the appropriate hex code, I'm not sure these are definitively the only supposrted frequencies.

After all, there has been several mentions of adjusting frequency by increment of 10Mhs in this topic. so 160/170/180 and more are missing in the forst post listing the hex codes...

They're running fine at 240Mhs now...

I'm still looking for the perfect hub to run 6 sticks (without modding as I'm useless with a soldering iron Cheesy Cheesy )

thank you

I ordered 6x http://m.ebay.fr/itm/USB-Volt-Current-Voltage-Doctor-Charger-Capacity-Tester-Meter-Power-Bank-VE-/161836453062?txnId=1332323356006

in the meantime,

this is what I get:
freq=260Mhs
V= 0.75V

I have 5 sticks connected to a USB3 hub using Y cables
and 1 stick on a USB2 hub using Y cable

I just have to figure out which one is compac2, although HW errors are stable...

(and god they're hot now !!, I've added some cooling but I need to optimize it, below is my current prototype... this will be improved/modified to hold the USB doctors and the cooling.)

I'm also trying to get the formula to calculate V and A based on bitmain specs of the BM1384 chip.

So then I'll be able to know:
How fast can one run on 2.5W (1xUSB2)
How fast can one run on 4.5W (1xUSB3)
How fast can one run on 5W (2xUSB2 with Y cable)
How fast can one run on 9W (2xUSB3 with Y cable)
(in blue, the given specs)

Link to the google spreadsheet if anyone wants to give it a try...

BM1384 spreadsheet
Edit:

well my Orico A3H10 hub turns itself off after a while with freq260/CoreV0.75.

So I will try freq 240....
