It is true that at present women are far ahead of boys and girls in all respects. Although women do not have the same physical abilities as boys, they are no longer lagging behind in talent. In the world of online, there is no alternative. Currently a large number of women are working in blockchain companies. This will definitely help the current world to move forward much faster.

The DeFi Market
DeFi has had one of the most incredible years so far. With a little under $3 billion in assets under management at the beginning of 2020, the industry now boasts close to $14 billion which is no small feat. This is according to recent data in the DeFi Pulse. However, there are several red flags in several agencies regarding how funds are being raised to support this DeFi boom. The method used was similar to the ICO bomb back in 2017.

If the United States is to be at the forefront of cryptocurrency innovation, it has to develop regulations that balance US values, foreign policy interests, and demand for adoption. This way, all the players in the industry feel protected and safe which will make the industry grow that much faster and attract more players.

Hello everybody. Firstly, I believe that in the modern world many women have a more balanced and cool character, as they say, I apologize for the expression, they have “steel eggs”. Therefore, it is not surprising that the number of women is growing in the blockchain and cryptocurrency community. Secondly, there is such a saying - a man’s head, a woman’s neck, wherever she turns, it will be so, that’s why many women make important decisions in the world, not only in the cryptocurrency industry. And thirdly, it’s a very convenient work at home for women who raise children, sat down, traded on the stock exchange while the children are sleeping, sometimes it’s female intuition that can bring profit for more than the earning husband can bring in a month. So, I won’t be surprised if after some time women will prevail in the cryptocurrency community.

There is no control in the blockchain world. There is no opportunity to determine gender. Everyone comes here on their own merits and skillfully builds their position. Normally women are more interested in teaching, medicine, business than technology. So the number of women in blockchain and cryptocurrency world is less. Nowadays, the movement of women in the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency has increased a lot. Hopefully in the future they will grow more and they will come with their qualifications.

The truth is, that inequality has always been there in most sections; there are always more men than women, and I still find it difficult to understand sometimes lol, or maybe it's because women are seen as the weaker vessels?

It's really high time that we do as much as we can to encourage them to do whatever they love to do and not just jobs that are seen as jobs for women. There should be equality when it comes to jobs, and everyone should be allowed to do whatever is their passion and not denied the opportunity just because of their gender. I'm seriously hoping that cryptocurrency and Blockchain brings that equality we are looking forward to.

Thank god there's no SJW type of discussion, and everybody here understands, that we're far beyond the lack of opportunities for both men and women. I'd just like to add that percentage will stay predominately male as it is in other financial industries just cause males are more biologically wired to be interested in things and numbers while females - in people and relationships

If the females have skills in blockchain, I think they can involve in many projects because blockchain is not for just males, but females can also join if they have skills. We don't know how many percentages of females and males in the blockchain. If there is a number that shows about the percentage of females and males, I don't think that is accurate because we don't know who the people who are in the projects are, and if we want to survey all of them, we need to ask all of the projects to know the right number.
Ability is preferred, right?
No problem, whether male or female, if you have expertise in the field of blockchain, will surely get the same opportunity. It's just that, usually women are tied to household life, for example caring for children. Although modern women also have their own decisions about parenting, it is also considered. That is why males dominate because work matters are their main responsibility.

Women have been involved into this industry called Blockchain and still others have joined the movement since Blockchain inception. Even on this forum, there are females around the forum doing well in their area of potentials. With the raising of the adoption of Blockchain, many women have been recruited into Binance and other top cryptocurrency exchanges, Blockchain isn't meant for one gender but for all. There are role they can fit into and make their positive impact.

Why people are so mad about gender researches? Is this really matters?
Research is a useful tool to find problems and solution as well. Research can be so important in minor aspect of life which be responsible for some major challenges in the community. Women have capacity related to their gender that they can only understand the importance of finding solution to it. However, the low number of women is everywhere in tech. Google is said to have the highest number of women staff (20%) compare to many other tech companies. Cryptocurrency is not only solving financial problems, they are used in animal pet health etc, which indicates unlimited use of blockchain/cryptocurrency.
There are lots of sectors on which blockchain tech had been applied or used and this doesnt only limit on a particular field and in talks
of gender. Its no surprise that women already involved into these field but actually it isnt really an issue yet no matter what your gender
is, everything can be learnt up even if you are a boy or girl. This doesnt limit out the chances for you to deal into things as long you
do know on what you are doing. We shouldnt really practice that kind of gender inequality because women are capable on what men can do.

this discussion is silly because you can't even give statistics on something you can not measure. on blockchain all you see is transactions and they don't even have any link to the identity of the sender/receiver let alone to their gender. so whenever someone releases a stats like x% of bitcoin users are male they are releasing the stats of users of some centralized service like users of coinbase which does not reflect on the entire users of bitcoin. for all you know 90% of bitcoin users are female and from the remaining 10% all of them use centralized services so they show up in stats!

it makes sense.
features of the field of activity, increased desire for confidentiality, etc. do not give the opportunity to calculate this percentage.
Even here on the forum, it is difficult to do, but within the entire blockchain it is impossible.

Is there any value on this information? Why do we need to know this percentage?

Is gender important in the Blockchain?

I mean if we will be relating cryptocurrencies into gender it is useless right since we already have the anonymity, the privacy and that just means that we don't care whether they are a girl or a boy. All we know is their address and we are connected to it, right?

In blockchain it is about your intelligence, brilliant ideas and ability to make a difference not about your gender, as much as we have many males in this business so also the females are striving hard to contribute to support the space, am glad to see the number of females in this space are increasing from previous years, it shows more females  are taking interest in blockchain and cryptocurrency, with that, we can expect to see even more bigger numbers in years to come.

At first I thought it was gonna be some SJW claiming that blockchains have genders too.

Well, women in the blockchain industry isn't something too new. They could take on various roles, like advisor or even in the C-suite. After all, blockchain is just another form of business, just like software companies.

I'm following a "girls of blockchain" twitter group, they are mostly from LATAM but are people from different crypto backgrounds, I've learned about many solutions and stuff I had no idea of. Here: https://twitter.com/wiblockchain

GENDER

Today there are a lot of people getting more included in the world of business that is related to the cryptocurrency and the blockchain and most of the users and the investors are the genders are male. There are only 14.5% of the female are working into the companies of blockchain in the year of 2018, but today the number of female investors, trader and developers are now mastering this profession and the most competitive in the world of the market, and this shown as a good thing because there are inspiring women would like to make a name in the world of cryptocurrency too that can handle and manage the workload like the man can do also by this we are giving the opportunity the woman to show their selves. There are a lot of women today having a good project towards to the cryptocurrency and they contribute a lot by this the combination of skills of male and female into the world of cryptocurrency can make a huge impact to the society. The gender does not exist into the world of business of blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Although the population of the female in this space isn't as much as that of male but they've been in this space for as long as the market could remeber. They do serve as teams and advisors and i know a lot of them personally who are active traders, bounty hunters as well as just investors. I believe the market isn't having any gender barrier and ladies are always welcome here

Just like currency fiat, the same way women work for money is the same way its exhibited in crypto, but this difference is that there are actually female developers, engineers and much more that exist this days, but when you compare  it to fiat, there are women working with printing fiat and the decision making too, including cbn governors and IMF, so i think its taking the pattern but in a more better and advanced way. So when it comes to gender and crypto it actually comes down on the individual here, Male of Female.

It is no secret that more male are involved in the field of technology. So according to the survey there are far more men in the cryptocurrency
world. Because basically women are more interested in the fashion, beauty and health industries. But now gender equalized in various ways,
including blockchain technology and cryptocurrency women have begun to be interested. Then as long as it can make money, gender has no effect.

I believe that in the modern world, we need to discard all stereotypes about gender. Men can engage in non-male professions, and women can participate in the development of the economy. Just take a survey and look at the numbers. This will be the answer.
Agreed, but it's important to realize that not everyone thinks this way (in fact, the majority probably doesn't). As for 'the numbers', it's not a secret that there are fewer women in tech than men. However, while many say 'it's fine, it's not like women are not allowed to join or anything, they're just not interested', I find this view unfair. Gender gap is a real thing, and in many countries it's huge. While there aren't many countries where women are indeed not allowed to join this area, there are quite some countries where they are discouraged to do so. I live in one of these, and when you're expected to focus on family or some female-dominated jobs, no wonder many girls don't see it as a good career choice because they don't want to be considered 'weird'. So while theoretically blockchain is genderless, in practice there are prejudices that can be solid obstacles on the way of more women joining the field.
