Dont forget that we are personally anonymous here so the data only represented those names and genders that working in outside but not those inside the market.

So in terms there are no way that we can look literally whos female here or now though you are correct that majority are Males yet the percentage presented seems to be in appropriate.

But no matter whats the ratio?the important thing is the function of woman inside that i think very helpful in many manners.

Actually, gender doesn't really matter in the blockchain because male and female are allowed in the blockchain there is no gender biased here as long as you want. Based on the source link male are has the higher number in the blockchain compared to the female, it's just show that male is more interested on the technology that is why if you will look for the richest holder of the bitcoin, you will see that almost of them are male.
The gender does not exist into the world of business of blockchain and cryptocurrency.

There you go. I completely agree with this. Gender discrimination is a thing of the past particularly when it comes to technology. Everybody is now given equal access to technological opportunities regardless of their gender. Well, gender inequality is still very rampant in some parts of the globe but that will have a very small effect to the "business of blockchain and cryptocurrency," which basically belong to the more advanced and civilized world.
Well said women and men, won't be discussed in the blockchain because there is no gender-biased in terms of using it. All people no matter what sex, nation, beliefs, etc are allowed as long as they want.

At first I thought it was gonna be some SJW claiming that blockchains have genders too.

Well, women in the blockchain industry isn't something too new. They could take on various roles, like advisor or even in the C-suite. After all, blockchain is just another form of business, just like software companies.
But we can still say that the blockchain industry is gender bias if we take a complete look at it. Am not sure we have any token or coin established by a woman. We may have women in the team but it is not the same as having them as founders. These are two different things.

While we don't think it matters much, what you carry around in your undies (or not), one of the founders of our mother entity BitcoinVN (Vietnam's oldest Bitcoin exchange since 2013/2014) is a woman and run's today Vietnam's largest Bitcoin/USDT OTC trade desk as part of the group  Smiley:

And while not directly "in Blockchain"; the owner&founder of Italiani's Pizza in HCMC is a young woman as well who became now a Bitcoin Hodler after we signed her up as one of our host locations  Cheesy:

Are you nowadays a committed HODLer yourself?
Ariel: You can say so. I don’t have a lot, so I just save it for my future kid (lol).

Good thing there isn't any gender discrimination and every gender is welcomed here. But what I observed is that some women doesn't have time due to family responsibilities and all of that. Another one is that they always think they are weak to participate in stuffs like this in the tech industry.

Technology is not gender biased I mean everyone uses mobile phone regardless of their gender and in my opinion this is one of that topic that does not make any sense.

It is known that technology is designed and developed for both the sexes.

While it is true that technology doesn't discriminate against gender unfortunately, job positions outside of the online community do mostly get filled by a man than a woman and that's due to the prejudice that still runs strong within our society. In some ways, women can be more dedicated than a man and they can contribute considerably but given that most chances favour men over women, in crypto even to this day there're few higher-up positions accepting women! I think it is still a work in progress.

Yeah I was expecting to read a joke in there but a bit disappointing. Gender in blockchain is a byproduct of the gender gap that has already pre-existed in tech. You want to fix blockchain disparity, you fix it in tech. It starts with access and education, so those Girls Can Code projects are doing it the right way.

It actually gets worse when you dig into those 14.5% stats too. Women, when they do get in, tend to be siloed in certain departments only.

Every time I hear that there is talk about the female gender and their support on the blockchain, I remember Taylor Monahan Co-founder of My Ether Wallet. I am very proud of all the work that she has been doing providing solutions to the crypto community. Maybe it's because I created my first wallet with MEW and have since learned about Blockchain and BTCitcoin.
She is now co-founder of MyCrypto.

Just like her, there are many valuable women who are empowering the blockchain industry.

Not to be gender racist or anything but women have their own stage and men have their own stage. It doesn't necessarily mean that both can't enter the stage of the other, but MOST would opt to enter the stage that is normally for their own gender. You'd see a lot of males entering tech-y side and you'd see females enter the fashion side of things but the vice versa could be perfectly normal. Sides, you wouldn't normally discuss the idea of gender in these kinds of things. Heck, gender doesn't impede one's ability, only stupidity could impede it. Not only on blockchain/crypto/tech stuff, but this also applies to the entirety of the work force. Just that human bias is quite a strong factor in someone's brain that it turns itself into the supposedly "norm", which isn't.

I'm a feminist and I believe that every female have the ability and capability to do what a male can do. A female can play football, she can bet with her money, she can do a brick laying job, she can do anything a male can she (as far as she wants to do it). In this blockchain technology world, a female has the right to anything on here (participating in campaign, supporting projects, building projects, etc). Don't be too surprised when I tell you that some of the people you know/see on this forum are female (who have decided not to disclose their identity).
So, I believe they should have a right equal to that of men.

this discussion is silly because you can't even give statistics on something you can not measure. on blockchain all you see is transactions and they don't even have any link to the identity of the sender/receiver let alone to their gender. so whenever someone releases a stats like x% of bitcoin users are male they are releasing the stats of users of some centralized service like users of coinbase which does not reflect on the entire users of bitcoin. for all you know 90% of bitcoin users are female and from the remaining 10% all of them use centralized services so they show up in stats!

In my opinion, this gender discussion is just silly.

Few women are interested in investing. Few woman are interested in technology.

You will find much more women in other areas, such as health for example, where you can find a lot of woman who are nurse, physicians, etc.

I agree, its just that few women are interested in technology. We should be happy that women are now starting to involve in this industry. It is never a talk about gender. We should be more open that it is growing. Cryptography isn't designed just for men.

In general, the lack of women in the blockchain market — until 2018 — can be explained by the historical dominance of men in the tech, financial and scientific industries,

To be exact, most of the women can be found in the areas of services. They are good at communicating, helping, and other kinds of stuff that usually are into servicing other people. One of those are in the profession of teaching, health workers, and nurses as you said. Well, they are good at giving those to the opposite sex too, not just in a sexual way.

....but today the number of female investors, trader and developers are now mastering this profession and the most competitive in the world of the market, ... snip
Absolutely. One of them can be seen from the team included in many projects, many of them are women. It's also not only in an easy position. Many of these women hold crucial positions in a project. This proves that anyone who is competent and professional in their field can work and compete in the crypto business world.
See, some of the top females in crypto can be checked in https://beincrypto.com/putting-the-spotlight-on-10-notable-women-in-crypto-womens-day-2020-special/. It is really amazing to see how their involvement in the crypto. And I'm sure, many other women exist in this crypto world, especially those who are still in secret and we don't know about them, especially, the bounty hunters, traders or investors.

Actually, there are some researches that have revealed the involvement of female in crypto.
However, I personally can also see females around me who play in crypto. They are growing every day. Moreover, when a female has earned a lot of money from crypto, the others will be very very enthusiastic to learn about this business and involved in the crypto world, especially for the shake of money. We know that most of them like money so much.

Yes true. More women are into the health sector than other sectors and that is because to have knowledge and more understanding about their health. But that is changing now, more women are into engineering now and they are investing a lot these days, turning into wealthy people and taking care of their families. With time, we are going to also see huge blockchain and cryptocurrency investors as women.

I have always joined campaign on altcoins before but, when I checked their profile most of the majoranagement are composed of women. There should be no discrimination with blockchain industry sincr the task isnt designated only for guys. Coding, smart contract are hard piece of field of blockchain, but it doesnt mean that womens arent gonna do any task at all. Also, Satoshi is just an alias for bitcoin creator, we dont know if the one who created it is a woman, maybe all will be shocked but it could be. We dont know.

GENDER

Today there are a lot of people getting more included in the world of business that is related to the cryptocurrency and the blockchain and most of the users and the investors are the genders are male. There are only 14.5% of the female are working into the companies of blockchain in the year of 2018, but today the number of female investors, trader and developers are now mastering this profession and the most competitive in the world of the market, and this shown as a good thing because there are inspiring women would like to make a name in the world of cryptocurrency too that can handle and manage the workload like the man can do also by this we are giving the opportunity the woman to show their selves. There are a lot of women today having a good project towards to the cryptocurrency and they contribute a lot by this the combination of skills of male and female into the world of cryptocurrency can make a huge impact to the society. The gender does not exist into the world of business of blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Today the gender does not really exist into the world of crypcryptocurrencyause we have diffa erent kind of perspective how can we make a lot of contribution into the world of the market of crypto and into the blockchain and also this statement above on the last part "The gender does not exist into the world of business of blockchain and crypto" because if you have a good contribution that helps other people go for it and we are not stopping other people to show their talent and skills. This guy gives a good topic I hope you make more earn a lot of reputation into your content.
