There is no discrimination between men and women in gambling. But according to general statistics men have more dominance. A large proportion of women who are financially sound are involved in gambling. Not all countries of the world have women involved in financial work. On average, women will lag behind in this aspect, but compared to real women gamblers, they are not behind in gambling in any way. Currently there is no discrimination in gambling. Both men and women are on equal footing. In some cases, women are even ahead.

So gambling is for everyone, both men and women. We can choose to play gambling at online or offline casinos, and we have to make sure that we can get comfortable playing gambling. And I think there are female gamblers who are experienced in playing gambling, so they might be able to play gambling with more discipline than men. And maybe they can also be luckier because I think they are more calculating in gambling and are not in a hurry to make decisions.

      -    We all know that gambling does not choose gender, as long as you know how to gamble and make money, you can play in any casino whether online or land based. Most of the players are actually men, but women are more disciplined to gamble than men in my opinion.

This is the only thing I seem to have noticed,, even though in the movies I watch, there are very few women who gamble, rarely do I see a woman who is an experienced gambler.

All religions, beliefs, spiritual teachings that are holy, of course, no one allows gambling, even most teach that gambling is a sinful and immoral act, but basically gambling has been a culture since ancient times, before technological civilization developed so it knows no status or gender both men and women are aware that gambling is still a sin.

But there is no need to overly state that men or women who gamble are sinful because indeed gambling is inherent in every class and layer of society so there is no point in saying such things because we are all the same.

If gambling is seen as a bad thing or a sin in his society then even if the gambler is a man he should be considered a sinner too. Otherwise, it will become hypocrisy.
Besides, most people have smart phones and they can access online casinos easily anytime they want. So, women in the said conservative societies without being harassed.

No gender indeed and even into those typical platforms or services on which it not really that something that will really be that getting in line with having restrictions and limitations on which it is something that most people
or men does have that kind of treatment on which it is really that very wrong or not really that a good approach towards other genders. When we do speak about gambling then this is something having no sense on having that gender restriction.It is really for all and doesnt matter whether you are a boy or girl as long you do have the money or funds on doing something like this then this is what surely counts. It is really just that not something new if we do speak about gender inequality because its always been like this even on typical jobs or things that we are dealing on a society on which girls do always have that kind of treatment or tending out to
prohibit because it isnt really just for girls but actually its just free for everyone.

I really understand your concern. but let's be realistic, it would be wrong to admonish a woman who is not part of the family to forbid her from gambling. because they have rights, they also have wills and desires according to their own expression. moreover, if gambling is part of their hobby. but maybe the case would be different, if it happened to our sister. we can reprimand him, give him understanding, give him enlightenment regarding the risks of gambling. we can be more flexible, if the woman is part of our family. but if they are someone else, there is nothing you can do other than to make that person uncomfortable.

Maybe, in your country, women who become gamblers are something that is taboo or related to ethics and manners. but in other parts of the world, women are part of the gambling itself, we even have many examples, one of which is in China. in china, many women who like the type of mahjong game that involves money in the game. well, as I said in the previous post, now everyone is free to get involved with gambling. moreover, we can easily access it only through smartphones. it doesn't matter whether men or women, everyone is free to express themselves as they want from their gambling. there are various kinds, some are more on entertainment, some are addicted. but all that, is the risk of the gamblers themselves. what is certain, the fact is that now gambling knows no gender.

Gambling has no gender restriction. It's just that more men are involved on the said activity. I think that is because they are mostly the ones who bring money in the table and the women or their wives are busy looking at the children, doing house chores and others.

Gambling is a risky activity so I think it's better to not influence our partner with it because we never know, they might get addicted and that can cause a whole lot of problems to our family. To say it's shameful has no gender biases but it will only depend on the nature of the person. It also depends on the people around us they can judge us easily if they think gambling is not a propriate activity.

According to my personal definition, the research the Op cites is another word for Survey. Most of the research is done as a place to draw conclusions from most of the people surveyed. The population of women who are involved in gambling is certainly lower than that of men, women who actively come to gambling places have an attraction for some men. Women like this prefer a challenge and are always cheerful, they can get to know each other in the gambling den and then take the relationship to a more serious stage.
Some men are more interested in women who are more active and full of challenges in their life, gambling is only limited to a hobby, they can live life by managing their finances well to maintain family economic stability even though their backgrounds both like gambling.

As long as you can gamble responsibly, that's fine because everything will be fine, and you won't exceed the limit. But the problem is that many people end up being tempted to over-gamer and think that it's okay to over-gamble occasionally. That makes them addicted later, especially if, in reality, they can win a lot of money, so they think that gambling excessively sometimes can give them more wins. But when the opposite happens, where they will only suffer a big loss, they realize it too late because they have become addicted to gambling.

And yes, it's better for us to reduce our gambling activities to avoid interfering with our family's monthly expenses. And also so that we can prevent ourselves from experiencing gambling addiction because if we are addicted to gambling, it will only bring us bigger problems.

It's so saddening to hear stories such as this really happen because of lack of discipline and irresponsibility combined. It's really important to acknowledge the red flags early on to prevent bad things from happening. Unfortunately though, most people mistake red flags as some sort of challenge when it's not. It's a warning sign that you must acknowledge to run as fast as you can to avoid having miserable life afterwards. But I guess some people have a hard time leaving because of trauma bonding or thinking they can change their partners when they can't. At all.

Nonetheless, it's good to hear that your community and the parents she have were all supportive and can be relied on. In times like this, intervention is really necessary. Hopefully she gets the right division of the properties as soon as she can and be able to receive child support for their children since kids are growing and so are their needs. It isn't easy to raise a child alone. I hope this time the husband will man up and do his responsibility instead of prioritizing his vices.

It's just like an example from my neighborhood. The guy lied to his girlfriend, and it continued even after they got married and had a few kids (I'm surprised she didn't see the warning signs, but maybe there's some truth to the "love is blind" thing). But anyway, the whole thing fell apart when his debts piled up so much that various shady characters started coming to their home and threatening his family. They have now separated, the children live with their mother, and they are still arguing in court about the division of property. It could have easily resulted in the wife and children becoming homeless, turning this into a very tragic story. Fortunately, her parents and the local community stepped in and provided her with a safe place to stay and all the help and support she needed.

All I know is, a gambling addict is a gambling addict, either male or female, you will probably have problem if you have a wife or a husband who is into gambling, because how will you tell if they are responsible with gambling in their lives?

Most men that are into gambling hide this from their wives because if things go wrong financially they will think it's because you are cursed due to your gambling activities, maybe that's where all your money is going? This is why most men keep it as secret.

I know someone who gambles a lot in secret and everything leaked out after he got married, this happened when the man lost his job, she was not complaining about gambling when the man was getting his salary per month, until no more money was coming in, it's true that most men are into gambling than women but pray that you don't have an addict as a wife or husband.

And that's an excellent approach to gambling. That's how it should be: for entertainment purposes. If all gamblers were like this, we wouldn't have such a term as "gambling addict" or "problem gambler".

Most women, same as most men, can gamble responsibly, and the notion that a woman can't  "assume her responsibility when she loses" is bs.

Lesser in terms of numbers and percentage compared with the man counterpart, that discrimination even there are places who already not practising that kind of cultures are still present up to this date, we will see lesser woman inside gambling and even online the numbers are still less, as they have many things in life that they focusing or prioritizing, unless they got hook up and the addiction already inside them the chance that we will see a woman to keep being inside the gambling/casino is very possible.

Gender discrimination have been a major set back to societal development and involvement and women have been at the receiving end of all this unlike their male counterparts who are given a free hand to do whatever they feel like with less discrimination,  if women are allowed into those events that there are strict on,  they will do more exploit than the men since they are more careful and take less risk.

In fact,  it will be difficult to see a woman becoming an addict at any point since they always take less risk and tend to give up or set a limit to their involvement in gambling.

Wiwo you've made a very good example and I believe that in that situation 80% of guys if not 100 especially those living in an uncivilized society would see that as an opportunity to relocate to a better place and would even forget that they were  even against their sister when she wanted buying the lottery. One thing I noticed from your suggestion is that people would always be in support of something when it beneficial to them. But kick against it when they think it's of no gain to them.

 Regardless of different peoples culture or traditions that doesn't permit women to involve in certain things they feel is in proper or ill mannered due to their gender. I believe in gender equality and I also think that every has a right to their choice and shouldn't be discriminated even if it involves risk taking or not, well all thanks to technology that has made it possible for women to gamble online at the comfort of their home without being abused or discriminated

In this version of the world we live in today, it is money that rules the world, most, if not actually all influencers no longer care about the potential harm that promoting gambling sites to especially still too young to gamble followers will do to such followers, most especially in our societies today that even teenagers are now using smart phones, you find a child of 10 years or even lesser now own a smart phone and the parents not even caring to monitor what the child does with the phone in the private..

Most influencers only care about the money they get paid by the casino to promote them , and not like its the duty of the influencers to install morals into underaged gamblers when the parents of this set of individuals have failed to do so, but then, it is commonly said that a child never belongs to one person, so their contributions, no matter how insignificant, still is significant, but unfortunately, like I've said before, many of them just are after money.

Let me give you this simple example,  take it as if your sister bought an American lottery ticket that gives her relocation and works overseas and the chance to relocate with dependence,  if you find yourself in that situation will you still blame or kick against your sister from gambling or not.

I think it is better that regardless of what the reality is,  there shouldn't be discrimination in terms of gender in anything that involves risk or luck like gambling.

Caution really needs to be done in promoting gambling because if there are people who do not understand their responsibilities in managing gambling it will have a dangerous impact, for sure that person will go crazy in gambling, that is an important point that needs to be considered as we want to promote it to both women or man it is the same thing.

I am also like that friend, I don't like it when my sister does gambling because I know very well if a woman enters gambling then finds herself addicted it will have a more severe impact on her development, I also as a man feel the bad position where I am that phase of addiction gave him such a crazy urge to gamble, what I feared was that he would sell himself out to fulfill his gambling craving.
