There are some interesting matches again this weekend. The top match, in my opinion, is the game between Hansa Rostock and Dynamo Dresden. It is not for nothing that they will play on Saturday evening at 8:30 pm.
Another interesting match will be between Regensburg and Schalke.

For Corona Mainz defeating the 2nd in the standings of the 1st division, I surely didn't expect that to happen but as I say the team might be offbeat against Corona Mainz, but we should see on the later games, the league is just getting started.
Winning the inaugural match cannot be a benchmark if the team will be able to perform well until the end of the season, the match between mainz vs leipzig, in my opinion is a fortune for mainz, because indeed leipzig is famous for his game that likes to attack total but when mainz met a club that also only relying on counter attacks and total defense, of course it is certain that mainz will find it very difficult to win, I think the next few matches will be a real test for mainz.

We would surely see it for sure because this is just the first match there will be more so let's just wait for Leipzig to get to the top because I think that Mainz is just lucky this time, it is only 1 goal to zero, but if Mainz could hit more than 2 goals on Leipzig then this is a new Mainz we are seeing here, but as I said we can not conclude any winning team in the 1st match to be at the top of finals just yet, some might have been lucky for this match but let's just wait for a further conclusion.

a debacle for werder bremen - a very indiscreet team performance from the club that lost 1-4 at home against sc paderborn.
darmstadt wins 6-1 against ingolstadt and thus gets the first 3 points.
jahn regensburg remains without any loss of points and without conceding a goal

Well, I say they might have some personal trouble, but we can not say yet that the third day will be very good for every team, the struggle is really there and against a team that makes it to the 1st division, I say they might be just under the weather or Paderborn really changes a lot.

those were really extremely strange results again this weekend. i would not have expected some of the results either.
but it was only the third matchday and now the clubs know on which positions they might have to get a new player. they still have a few days to do that

and in the first Bundesliga, Corona Mainz wins against RB Leipzig.   Grin Grin

hamburg once again and schalke will have difficulties this season in getting promoted to the 1. bundesliga. what will happen to werder bremen, we will see when tomorrow's game against paderborn has been played.

The 2nd Bundesliga is also good for surprises.  The 3 teams that have been considered candidates for promotion have not played well so far. (Schalke, Bremen and Hamburg) And the team that was almost relegated is now first in the table.

and paderborn leads bremen 2-0 after 20 minutes. i absolutely did not expect that.
edit: now 0:3

Werder VS Paderborn

as I post this the update on the game is 1 - 4 where Paderborn is really dominating Werder Bremen, if this continues and Paderborn win they will now have 2 Wins and Werder 2 Losses

Darmstadt VS Ingolstadt

Now the score is 5 - 1 where Darmstadt is dominating the defense of Ingolstadt, it is nearing its end and Darmstadt will have 2 Wins and Ingolstadt will have 4 losses.

So far Regensburg really performed extremely well and i guess nobody expected that after the last season. I don't really think that they can stay in the first upper regions of the table for a long time but every point that they can gather now is good for them and will hopefully lead to a much more relaxed season than last year where it was really tense and close.
In the past the big clubs that were relegated down into the second bundesliga almost always had huge problems to get back into the first Bundesliga quickly again, with the exception of Stuttgart 2 seasons ago. There are no teams that will definitely move up into the Bundesliga because the second division is just to strong for that.

I really don't expect that Regensburg will perform this well I always think that Holstein Kiel will be the one that may perform the most but maybe their key player from last season was not in the team anymore, I should investigate even further.

We've left 3 weeks behind and Regensburg started the season very great. They scored 8 goals in total against Darmstadt, Sandhausen and Holstein Kiel and didn't even concede one. They were nearly relegating from the league in the last season. But now, they are the best team so far. The 2nd Bundesliga is a really interesting league.  Grin

Schalke VS Erzgebirge

The match was a draw, and 65% of ball possession was on Schalke's side but both teams were really good with their defense and not letting any ball on the goal, so the game is really a tight one both teams really did what they can to win, Schalke now has 1 Win 1 Draw 1 Loss, While Erzgebirge has 0 Win 3 Draws and 0 Loss.

St. Pauli VS Hamburger

St. Pauli has won against Hamburger, and it is really a close match and even though Hamburger has 61% ball possession the shots on target were really in favor with St Pauli, and in the standings, St.Pauli now has 2 Wins 1 Draw 0 Loss and Hamburger has 1 Win 1 Draw and 1 Loss.

Sandhausen VS Karlsruher

pretty much a very tight match for the game to be on Draw, 0 - 0, Karlsruher has 62% possession and 81% pass accuracy while Sandhausen has 38% possession and 68% pass Accuracy but their defenses are so tight that no one has able to make a goal, that is why their stat on standing was 2 Wins 1 Draw 0 Loss for Karlsruher and 0 Win 1 Draw and 2 Losses for Sandhausen, SV Sandhausen should start reflecting that they already have 2 Losses, and needs to work on winning now.

Nurnberg VS Dusseldorf

Dusseldorf has a low shot percentage but they surely have 56% ball possession and 81% pass accuracy than Nurnberg but this is not enough in winning the game, because Nurnberg has most on shot percentage even though they just have 44% on possession and 79% pass accuracy making Nurnberg victorious, having 2 - 0 game score,  Now Nurnberg has 1 Win 2 Draw and 0 Loss, While Dusseldorf has 1 Win 0 Draw and 2 Losses.

Holstein Keil VS Jahn Regensburg

I was pretty shocked seeing Holstein Keil being dominated with a score of 0 - 3, and I always though they can have a decent start in being in the top 3 in the recent league, Regensburg really have the potential but it is still early to say they can be champion this season, but they are now number 1 in the standings having 3 Wins 0 Draw and 0 Loss while Holstein Keil has 0 Win 0 Draw and 3 Losses.

Dynamo VS Hannover 96

Another team that has potential early on, was Dynamo having a win over Hannover with a 2 - 0 score, is an impressive performance, and landing the 2nd spot in the standings, in the 2nd division giving Dynamo 2 Wins 1 Draw and 0 Losses, While Hannover 96 0 Win 1 Draw and 2 Losses.

currently there are two surprises in the young season - regensburg with 9 points the positive and holstein kiel with zero points the negative surprise

i wouldn't have expected holstein kiel to start this season so badly. however, they have also given away important and good players. Meffert, Lee and Hauptmann are already big losses.
Lee had played a fantastic season and contributed a lot to kiel almost being promoted. now we have to wait and see what this season brings.
we'll be smarter after 10 match days. and regensburg at the top.... that's a little strange.

Right but Hamburg is indeed a phenomenon. Best conditions, lots of resources and a strong fan base. Great city with champions league flair, and everything you need to promote again, but yet they fail. They have been managed in such a crappy way, wow. How many managers and coaches did they fire over those couple of years? Really bad to see that happen.

Hamburg, the last match was a draw an utterly not but and not good performance in my opinion, but this season is still starting so that may be OK for them to have 1 win and a Draw record for now, but expect they will surely be more aggressive in their next match, I guess they need a consistent manager and coaches that can help them with their training and performance, but right now we can see that Karlsruher is at first, and Jahn Regensburg both have 2 wins, and I could say there are other teams that have worth on watching, but Still Hamburg is a pretty decent team in the 2nd division.

And there we go again. Lost an important game early on, and not only any game but the most important derby of the season. If they don't play the next game successfully, I once again can see them get into a downwards spiral as they used to in the past couple of years. Another tough season ahead for them.

I feel the manager and the team have let themselves down, because they conceded back to back goals within minutes and even though they scored one towards the end it just wasn’t enough. Lastly the signs don’t look for them, but then again it’s too early to rule them out too, and one can only hope that they’ll work hard and improve on their performances.

I think as long as we don't know exactly how things are going internally at Hamburger SV, we can only make assumptions. In any case, there is an important game for Hamburg on Friday. Local derby against St. Pauli. St. Pauli have won their last four games against HSV. It will be the 103rd derby...with 10003 spectators. Who came up with this number?  Cheesy

I really think that St. Pauli Is truly a remarkable team and for Hamburg to face is an exciting match, but still, my guess is Hamburg will make a win here, even though they have a draw game recently I am trusting Hamburg to win this one,

And right now the odds on stake.com was 3.00 for St. Pauli and 2.25 for Hamburger SV, well the odd are really close enough, and I think there are many that trusting Hamburg to really win this, that is why I will go with Hamburg.

Absolutely. They have always had a good team so far and played well at the beginning most of the last seasons. But at some point they played a bit worse. But they usually became more nervous afterwards. But that was usually not because of the team. It was probably because a lot of pressure was built up in the background. Too much pressure.

The bad phases they had all started with two or three games in a row where they got unlucky and conceded a goal in the 85th minute or even later, then tied or lost the game. That became chronic every single time. They often turned into the team over the last couple of seasons that conceded the most goals or almost the most goals between minute 80 and the end of the game. They just started shaking on the pitch when the final 10 minutes of the game started. They should have got mental training or whatever. I am curious how it will go for them this season. New season, same shit? Wink We will soon know more.
