This weekend, the 2nd Bundesliga plays again. I cannot see any really top games this weekend. But there are still some interesting matches.
Paderborn against Schalke, for example. Or Regensburg against Nürnberg. Although this game could already be a top game, as the first one plays against the fifth and Nürnberg could reach 12 points too.

If you will, Regensburg vs Nuremberg is not only a Bavarian derby but also the actual top match this weekend. It will be interesting to see if Regensburg can continue their winning streak after their first loss in their last game, or if their four wins in their first four games were just an exception.

Paderborn vs. Schalke match will certainly be interesting as well. Paderborn is currently second and has had a very good start to the season. If they manage to win against Schalke, the little eurphoria at Schalke after the first win in the last match will quickly be gone again.

My top game for the weekend is the northern derby between Hamburger SV and Hannover 96. There has always been a very big rivalry here.

You have something mixed up. This weekend Hannover 96 is not playing against Hamburger SV, but against St. Pauli. The two teams are from the same city, but are totally different. But a small nice fact: The abbreviation from Hannover 96 is the same as from Hamburger SV: HSV. This is why Hannover 96 is also called the little HSV.  Wink

It's almost do or die for Hannover 96 after the poor performances in the past games. Same goes for Holstein Kiel. The current 2. Bundesliga will surely be one of the most insteresting ones. Especially since all of the top teams have been more or less struggling lately. At the start of the season, I would have thought that there would probably be a three-way battle between Schalke 04, HSV and Werder. Currently, however, we see completely different teams at the top. It remains to be seen whether the underdogs can continue to deliver such strong performances or whether the favorites can catch up as the season progresses.

My top game for the weekend is the northern derby between Hamburger SV and Hannover 96. There has always been a very big rivalry here. Also cheering for Werder Bremen against Ingolstadt of course.

the only true and great north derby is the one between werder bremen and hamburger sv, which (after a break of 2 years) will take place 2x this season Cool
how the 2 bundesliga will develop, we will only see after the 10th matchday, when the table has settled down to some extent and then we might already see who is playing against promotion and which club is playing for relegation.

I think it is quite interesting to see the matches of clubs that are often in the Bundesliga, such as Werder Bremen, Hannover 96 and also Hamburger SV.

A pretty interesting match also came from Jahn Regensburg, after they won back-to-back from the start of the league, they were finally defeated by St. Pauli, they will also face an equally strong opponent, Nurnberg.

I never really realize that St. Pauli got a great defense and offense

Last season, the second part of the season (the backround? Is that correct?) went very well for St. Pauli and they developed further as a result. Fortunately, they were able to carry the momentum into the new season. I am looking forward to the next games.

Well, it really went well for St. Pauli, and I have seen that they can surely make Regensburg run for their money, but I really think this is not the first time that Regensburg will surely attain a loss, next match for Regensburg will be Nurnberg that may have a hard time for Regensburg, t could be a draw or another lost for Regensburg, and another match that Regensburg might have a hard time will be Paderborn, just saying,

I think that St. Pauli is a versatile team but on Aug. 1 they have a draw game against Erzgebirge and had lost to Paderborn, the score was 3 - 1 a total beatdown, A lot have speculated that Dynamo or Paderborn may become champion on this 2nd Bundesliga season, but let's just wait.
It seems these teams are only good when they have momentum, because if I look at some of the matches and also their head to head like in the match between St. Pauli - Regensburg. It doesn't matter what order they are in the standings, because when they play at home at least they can take advantage of the momentum at home to get 3 points. But yes, when the opponent is an opponent who is ranked lower or in the relegation zone, at least they can still win away and thus they are still not good at maintaining their good trend.

Just like I have said every team can beat any team, and yes a huge percentage for a team to win if you are betting is the home advantage, and sometimes it is reflecting with the odds, but in other times luck is actually involved as well, the number of goals a player can shot, they surely have skill but sometimes there are players that are surely relying on luck when they kick the ball they would surely assume that the goalkeeper is going in a different direction because some can not predict peoples movement, although there are huge study that some do have the talent to read people's movement, and their mannerism it can surely be applied to some players, everything can really happen especially if the game did not end yet,

jahn regensburg suffered their first defeat of the season in the 2. bundesliga with a 0-2 loss against st. pauli, but still remain in 1st place in the table.
werder bremen celebrated their first home victory after a long time with a clear 3-0 win against hansa rostock.
St Pauli played quite well in that match with almost 50% ball possession and managed to shoot around 23 with 5 of them being shot on target, I think if they continue to play consistently like that until the end of the season, surely we will see them able to play in the Bundesliga next season.
Looks like this season will be a tough season for wender bremen and also schalke to be able to return to the bundesliga next season Grin

Yes, that was really a great game from St. Pauli. They played very well and didn't allow Regensburg's offence to do much. They have a good start into the season and currently they are a candidate for promotion for me.

I never really realize that St. Pauli got a great defense and offense than Regensburg, but I think some teams really have some counter advantage on other teams, and taking precautions on every bet that we make I think we need to check the match history first before engaging with our bets,

But it is still a shame that Regensburg didn't get the winning streak a lot of fans want, and this goes to show that St. Pauli has the advantage in some teams the way they show how it is done with Regensburg, Paderborn is one of the teams that I am now checking if they could win against Regensburg aswell.

Jahn Regensburg has been consistent despite his previous losses. He always makes sure to perform better to make a good record and always tries to remain on top. I guess that's the reason why he's always every bettor's favorite. I wish he could keep a good record on his coming matches.

Well, we should not look at the consistency of a team winning, anybody can beat anybody here, and its a matter of time before Regensburg had face up the counter team that can beat them, but apparently, this applies to the other teams it can sure happen, and I have seen that St. Pauli has lost to Paderborn, so there might be a possibility that Regensburg would have a hard time with Paderborn, and on their recent match on October 31, 2020, Regensburg lost to Paderborn with 3 - 1 and reclaim their victory on February 27, 2021, with a score of 1 - 0 Regensburg will surely have a hard time with Paderborn in my opinion, might as well bet on Paderborn and that will be on October 17 this year.

happening right now, I was shocked seeing St. Pauli having 1 score to Jahn Regensburg, and Regensburg is having a hard time right now after posting this the Score has changed to 2 - 0, St. Pauli, well maybe Regensburg's kryptonite was St. Pauli after all, and right now both goals were Guido Burgstaller's score and the defense of St. Pauli was also superb that Regensburg is having a hard time catching up, but let's just wait there is still a lot of time for Regensburg to retaliate.

Right now I am pretty much impressed with the performance of Jahn Regensburg now getting 4 wins 0 draws and 0 losses, Dynamo 2nd with 3 wins 1 draw 0 losses, Paderborn with 2 wins 2 draws, and 1 loss, Karlsruher with 2 wins 2 draws and 0 loss and FC St. Pauli with 2 wins 1 draw and 1 loss, this is the 5 teams that are in the top 15 and right now each team the Regensburg fought are having a hard time facing Jahn Regensburg and on the Aug. 29 Sun there are going to be 2 very interesting matches that I should not miss and it is the matches between Dynamo VS Paderborn and FC St. Pauli VS Jahn Regensburg we can see a really heated battle If Dynamo can overcome Paderborn, or if Jahn Regensburg may remain undefeated.

You're not the only one. I only expected St. Pauli to be in the upper part of the table. They made a great final spurt last season and have brought that spirit with them into the new season.
I'm curious whether Regensburg will still be in 1st place after this weekend.

Yes I agree I am pretty curious about what team would win in this match, but for me I really want Regensburg to attain their undefeated status, I really don't want to tarnish their good reputation but St. Pauli should not be underestimated, regarding even with great defense and a great offensive team Regensburg is they really need to double that with St. Pauli,

And another great match will be Dynamo and Paderborn in my opinion, so will definitely look out for these matchups, and the odds for this 2 match on stake.com is pretty much close actually.

Paderborn - 2.80
Dynamo - 2.50

FC St. Pauli - 2.43
Jahn Regensburg - 2.90

If Regensburg manages to win this away game against Pauli I would already say that they are one of the favorites for rank 1 - 3 for this season. They play in a very convincing manner, rarely close games and score a lot. I actually haven't seen them in such a strong and consistent shape before. Even if they start losing a game here and there, the second league isn't known for being dominated by two or three teams who win with 80 points and more in the end. 15 points after 5 games, that sounds good. I would guess you'll need around 62 - 65 in order to compete for rank 1 - 3.
