As the day goes on. The Bundesliga is becoming more competitive. Schalke, who are fifth in the points table, are just 4 points apart from Pauli at the top of the points table. The point table can change at any time. And so now every team has to be very careful. If they lose a point in a match, they will fall behind and their dream of playing in the Bundesliga will remain unfulfilled.
@BALIK both Bundesliga have always been competitive, but the key for the qualification will depend on which team badly wants to qualify and they’ll have to prove it by scoring goals and winning the matches on the pitch. Also Pauli has only one point advantage, and they’ll have to be extra careful and avoid losing or drawing their matches otherwise they’ll end up losing their top spot.
It looks like Schalke will not return to the Bundesliga soon next season, because if I look at the statistics so far I think Schalke still has weaknesses and is not strong enough to be able to compete longer for the 1-3 place in the standings. But yes, we don't know for sure, because if we consider the current point gap, at least anyone who looks will be able to consider the position will change quickly and Schalke, of course, still have a chance to be able to end the season in 3rd place or higher. But for me for now, it looks like Schalke will not be strong enough to compete until the end of the season, of course this is also interesting to look forward to.
Ever since i have started to follow bundesliga back in 2013, and then became a dortmund fan during klops regime, I come to know that schalke is the master of sacking managers in bundesliga. (I'm Sporting CP from Portugal supporter since I was born) I put Schalke on the same blacklist as SL Benfica.
I can also very well imagine that Schalke will sack their coach very quickly if they don't win several games in a row. Schalke wants (or needs?) to get back up. They will do everything for that. And the first thing always is to change the coach.

If Schalke loses a few matches at once, they will have to give up their dream of qualifying for the Bundesliga next season. The second Bundesliga is now becoming very competitive. Even if a team loses points in 1 match, they will lose their position in the points table. If Schalke loses 3 matches in a row, they will not be in the top 10 of the points table. Then of course Schalke's management coach will think of changing.

I agree. Right now the table is still very close and chances are equal for pretty much all the teams in the upper half of the table, but I don't expect Schalke to become stable enough that they can really compete for rank 1 or 2. Maybe there is a good chance they will be fighting for rank 3, but even that is going to become tough.

I am gone for too long and now FC St. Pauli is in the 1st standing, I was busy with the 1st division than with the 2nd division but sure St. Pauli is doing great right now, and Jan Regensburg have to win 1 more to rack up on the standings, and they should work out for it fast because Paderborn, Darmstadt, and Schalke are sure getting aggressive with it, but Schalke is getting left behind by letting Darmstadt and Heidenheim a win.

My picks for certain teams in the 2nd division

Hannover 96 VS Paderborn

This could be easy for Paderborn, but Hannover 96 is playing home, and even though Hannover have home advantage, and Sven Michel is at risk of suspension, and Paderborn really needs to be more careful right now Felix Platte and Kai Proger is still there to make another win for the Paderborn I say this is really an easy win for Paderborn.

Hamburger SV VS Jahn Regensburg

Hamburger has a number of players that can not play because of injuries, but Hamburger SV still have their main players going to play and Jahn Regensburg on second though have Benedikt Gimber and Sarpreet Singh 4 yellow so they are at Risk for Suspension, maybe this could be a tough fight for Regensburg, but they still have Max Besuschkow, Benedikt Gimber, and Jan-Niklas Beste, my pick will still be Regensburg even though this could be a tough fight for them.

Darmstadt VS FC St. Pauli

This could be a great match to watch regarding how Darmstadt has a good record in the 2nd division right now and a potential threat for Regensburg to be denominated in the 2nd spot, but their opponent will be FC St. Pauli a tough opponent, but St. Pauli has 6 Injuries and 1 red card suspension, their defense might be crucial but I think their offense still is strong, but this might end up in a Draw for now, but St. Pauli regarding their strong offense might pull something my pick will still be FC St. Pauli.

Darmstadt looks so amazing this year, their attack is second to none in the league  I hope they can push for promotion, Torsten lieberknecht deserve to be in the Bundesliga again

You are right. Pauli is just 1 point ahead of Rengseburg. They will lose their top spot if they draw or lose a match. Pauli has 3 important matches in this month. They will play Darmstadt, Nuremberg and Schalke(5th Dec.). If Pauli can win these matches then they will definitely not lose the top spot. Because in 2.Bundesliga These teams are the strongest.

The whole table is so damn close. I would say e en Düsseldorf on rank 11 has a realistic chance to finish in the top ranks after the first half of the season. This is definitely an extremely close table for literally all of them. I really hope for one of the non-favorites to be promoted to the first Bundesliga. I think it is time for Regensburg to make it this year! Wink
Your right thats exactly what i was gonna say many potential teams that can make it to the bundesliga most of them has unstable results which make it entertaining i guess by the 20th round things will become more clear and many teams will drop out from the race, i think hambourger deserve the promotion for many seasons they competed and never made it to the bundesliga.

Vaccinized.. immunity level is full.
Schalke have lost their last two matches and are now fifth in the table. After losing to a relatively weak team like Heidenheim, I thought it was an accident. But in the last match Schalke conceded 4 goals. They showed very weak gameplay. Such a performance will not fulfill their dream of qualifying for the Bundesliga.

matchday 13 is now over and schalke 04 loses its third game in a row. this time they lost 2-4 at home against darmstadt, who then overtook schalke (5th place) in the table and now occupy 4th place. jahn regensburg also lost surprisingly 2-3 at home to promoted club hansa rostock.
it continues to be very exciting in the first half of the table - there is only an 8-point difference between 1st and 9th place Grin

you're right at the moment. but normally that's not quite true. because 1 game is still missing. because at sandhausen so many players
are infected with corona that the game against fc.st.pauli has been cancelled.
and since st.pauli has a home game i assume that st.pauli will win and thus have three more points.
i don't think that will be the last game that will be cancelled because of corona. there will certainly be a few more in this cold season.

This time Pauli had difficulties. In the Bundesliga games they were more convincing. Pauli led twice, but an own goal made extra time possible. They scored the third goal in extra time and won narrowly in the end with 3-2.
Further in the DFB Cup are: Hannover, Rostock and Karlsruhe. Karlsruhe won against Leverkusen.

Several teams have now made it through to the last 16 of the DFB cup, and several big teams that were previously favorites to be able to get the DFB champion have now been eliminated and in the DFB cup only Dortmund and Freiburg are 2 teams that are in the top 4 of the standings bundesliga today, although the match in the DFB cup is very difficult to predict, but I believe that dortmund will again be able to win the DFB trophy this season.

The DFB-Pokal seems to have a lot of surprises, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the 5-0 score of Monchengladbach vs Bayern. Though almost all the stats were in favor of Bayern. Dortmund should win the DFB-Pokal in my opinion too as their forward Haaland is in form and the 2nd highest scorer of the tournament. Currently, he has 3 goals. And I'm sure he's gonna get more.
The DFB round of 16 will start in January, and of course this gives the remaining teams an opportunity to prepare the squad very well, because in my opinion the DFB Pokal is the only trophy that may still be very realistic for a club that can't afford to fight for it the current bundesliga trophy title, the dominance of bayern munchen in the bundesliga of course makes several other clubs have to target a second trophy (DFB) as an alternative for them, especially dortmund who have to focus on getting the trophy for the sake of haalaand, because in my opinion, haaland position now is the same as kane at tottenham who continue to play well and always score goals but at the end of the season he always doesn't get a trophy, and no matter how loyal a player is to the club, of course he will get bored if he keeps losing titles.

yesterday started the 13th matchday in the 2. bundesliga and werder bremen was able to get 3 important points with the 2-1 away win in nürnberg and thus keep the contact to the upper ranks of the table. in the 2nd friday match holstein kiel could also win 2-1 against dynamo dresden and get 3 points against relegation
the match between st. pauli - sv sandhausen has been cancelled due to the numerous corona infections at sandhausen Tongue

Jahn Regensburg is in good form. Each team played 12 matches. Regensburg have not lost in any of their 12 matches. Looking at their performances so far, it looks like they will be able to qualify for the Bundesliga. Nurnburg, on the other hand, have yet to lose a match. My prediction is that Pauli, Regensburg and Nurnburg will be in the top 3 of the points table at the end of the season. Although Schalke is a good team, their performance is not very stable. They have to improve themeselve more.

@BALIK indeed Jahn Resensburg has a genuine chance of qualifying this season, and all they need to now is continue their fine form which they have been displaying so far. Also Schalke hasn’t performed that bad if you see from their current standing in the table, but I’ll agree that they need to improve their performances further if they wish qualify for first Bundesliga.

Maybe. If they keep their consistency, then promotion is possible. Unfortunately, one constant is no longer there. Managing director Christian Keller has no longer been with the club since 01 November. He had been with the club since 2013 and quit by his own decision. The new structure of two managing directors must now prove itself.
