Munich is like an elite team in various European Leagues, they have healthy finances and a champion mentality in the Bundesliga. Last season Munich failed to defend their title, it is natural that they failed, after all for a decade Bayern Munich has always been the Bundesliga champion. I am sure that this season Bayern will try again to win the League, even though under the guidance of a coach who is not so experienced. However, it is important to remember, Bayern Munich's players are much more competitive than their rivals. Moreover, Bayern Munich's chances of returning to the top of the standings until the end of the season are wide open. In addition, Kompany has his own way to achieve chemistry with Bayern players. An awesome performance it has been for Leverkusen, here's a reason to be really tough with their confidence this season, starting off winning a trophy is a very good and ideal performance from Leverkusen, just maybe they could get a trio this season (lol) anyways congratulations to them on this victory and the trophy they have won. This for me is a whole lot as it regards their confidence boost and their psychology been at its best. Winning Stuttgart even with all of the challenges they had to face earlier is really a commendable performance I'm hopeful they keep up this way with the rest of the season.

This is WILD a Bundesliga season. Dortmund seems really hazardous as heck. They are striving for the title and have upfront firepower. Though the bookies are worried, Bayern's is still the preferred. Leverkusen is mixed in with Dortmund's down their necks breathing. Leverkusen, I'll say you shown tenacity against Stuttgart. Still, this is not a one-time occurrence. You have to bring that vigour every damned game. Dortmund is ravenous; Bayern's machine is different. There's going to be a carnage this season. Three teams, with one trophy.

IMO, the competition will most likely not happen again when Dortmund will try to become a strong challenger after Leverkusen. We all know why I say this because Dortmund managed to get a reliable striker owned by Stuttgart and of course the attack line is stronger and able to complicate the bundesliga title fight this season. So we don't only see Bayern Munich and Leverkusen but Dortmund will also give difficulties to the two teams who will continue to fight to get the top of the standings.

Bookmakers even favor Bayern Munich as the winner this season followed by Leverkusen and Dortmund. And also bookmakers favor Kane and Guirassy as the strongest candidates for the top scorer this season which gives a little sign that Leverkusen will also compete strongly with Dortmund.

Expectations are high because all know Bayern Munich is not at his best even we can expect things could be challenging for the title race but still Bayer Leverkusen is looking impressive no other team having depth to stand against them for the title race because it's never been easy even we have good preparation from the Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig for the title race but still Bayer Leverkusen is having good depth and their performance is also at the same level as we have in last season.

Underestimating Bayern Munich is surely big mistake because they are having good team, and they are also having good sources for bringing quick changes due to few bad decisions they are having bad time in last season, but now things could be at good level Bayer Leverkusen having good start with trophy, and now they will be tried their best for having few more into their wallet after one century wait.

Both teams have started the season quite well so far, Munich managed to win over ULM in the DFB Pokal, as well as Leverkusen who continued to show their toughness when playing against Stuttgart in the Super Cup final, Leverkusen again succeeded in adding to their trophy collection after Alonso coaching and now Alonso has presented three trophies to Leverkusen, namely the Bundesliga trophy, DfB Pokal and also the Super Cup and that is the best achievement compared to the previous coach who has handled Leverkusen so far.

The new season will start next week and of course we hope that there will be very competitive competition in the Bundesliga this season compared to the previous seasons, Leverkusen has succeeded in breaking Munich dominance which lasted almost 12 years in the Bundesliga last season and I hope if Bayern Munich this season will rise again so that way we will see a competitive Bundesliga from competition between Munich, Leverkusen, Dortmund, Stuttgart and even Leipzig later.

Unquestionably, the red card was a major turning point. But let the amazing battle Bayer Leverkusen displayed on public view not to overshadow anything. Most of the game they were down a man, yet they never gave up. From Schick in the last minutes, that equaliser? Simply grit, people. Raw grit.

Under a leader like Xabi Alonso, you develop the kind of will needed for this. He understands how to persuade his people to dig deeply; he has been in difficult circumstances before. Think back on those victories in the DFB Pokal and the Bundesliga. Like this. The man is a winner, and he has this team thinking they may also be successful.

So, you can't just say that this was luck. And believe me, in the Bundesliga they will be a force to be reckoned with if they continue to play with this type of heart.

I expect some rivalry between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen in this season.
Yesterday match started well for Bayer Leverkusen but they were surprised by the performance of Stuttgart.
Stuttgart was able to score two goals and overtake them until the last minutes of the game when Leverkusen returned and won by penalties.
That match worries me about Leverkusen and how ready they are when they will start the season and face Bayern Munich.

Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart played out an exciting German Super Cup, kicking off the new season in impressive fashion. And the intellectual battles between them are becoming the most attractive "dish" in German football today. This is the era of coaches Xabi Alonso and Sebastian Hoeness, right?

Alonso won his third title with Leverkusen, after the Bundesliga and German Cup. The 42-year-old coach only missed out on one trophy this year, losing 0-3 to Atalanta in the Europa League final. In this match, Coach Alonso tested all three new players of Leverkusen: Aleix Garcia, Jeanuel Belocian, and Martin Terrier. After being behind, he brought out four "trump cards": Alex Grimaldo, Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, and Patrik Schick. It can be seen that Alonso and his team still maintain their form and are still full of the spirit of the defending champions of last season.

But things will not be easy for coach Alonso and his team this season. In terms of stars and squad depth, Dortmund and Bayern Munich still have the advantage over Leverkusen. Not only that, they also continuously improve the squad by replacing new coaches and a series of new players to regain their rightful position.

I agree about this Real Madrid and Xabi Alonso connection are going to be work, but this will be happened after end of the Carlos Ancelotti era which is going to end after end of the season 2026 most chances until then we will be having Xabi Alonso here at the Bayer Leverkusen.

No one having any doubt about Bayern Munich as they are one of the best side in Bundesliga they were having some troubling time, but now things are getting better hopefully we will have them in good shape even chances for win of title are not good but still we can expect them at their best for me, we will have good chances for title race Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig with Bayern Munich is always in this list without any problem.

Trust me , Real Madrid will coming for get Xabi Alonso at some stage for the coach position when its time for.
Also there are for sure some more teams that want to get the title and win the league , Dortmund , Stuttgart , Leipzig and maybe we see some surprise team.
Bayern Munich always is in the position for getting one of the favorite but things have changed and for the viewers that is a great thing.

Xabi Alonso managed to win his first trophy this season and his third trophy since taking charge of Leverkusen, previously he had won the Bundesliga and DFB Fokal trophies. Leverkusen had to struggle to win the German Super Cup trophy Due to fierce resistance from Stuttgart, Leverkusen had to play with 10 since the 37th minute. An additional goal from Patrik Schick in the 88th minute made Stuttgart almost-won victory disappear just like that.
The spirit of the Leverkusen players was extraordinary, they refused to give up even though they were 2-1 behind and outnumbered. Leverkusen once again showed their toughness in this game. If they can maintain their performance like this, maybe they will win the Bundesliga again.

Opponents who are not quite equal in strength to Bayern Munich will indeed be easier to lose because Bayern Munich is still a team that has the potential to dominate the Bundesliga and also several other competitions such as the DFB Cup. And I am also quite sure that Bayern Munich will start this season very consistently, especially after seeing their rival (Leverkusen) who has also won the DFL Super Cup which will certainly give more enthusiasm to Leverkusen and also to Alonso as the team's coach.

Of course, penalties are a matter of pure luck. Even if they are the best team in the world, they can be eliminated on penalties. Because everything depends on whether the goalkeepers are good that day. Bayer Leverkusen is lucky because despite having ten men, they managed to drag the match into extra time and win on penalties. This turned out to be a championship for them. They made a good start to the German League. With this cup, they showed everyone that they are still ambitious in the Bundesliga.

I watched the German Super Cup final between Leverkusen vs Stuttgart and overall Leverkusen was still consistent in terms of creative strategy. Xabi Alonso was able to provide a surprise in the final minutes. Because Stuttgart was able to provide fierce resistance. It was clear that these two coaches were competing with each other with their best tactics on the field. The match which was also full of yellow card and red card drama was unavoidable. The goal in the 89th minute from Leverkusen really proved that Xabi Alonso and his squad were on a different level so that when undergoing a penalty shootout the mentality of his players was burning again. This victory will be the opening road to undergoing the Bundesliga competition.

Still one more week to go for the new season in Bundesliga to start... In the meantime teams have actually started the season already. Just as I expected we saw over 3.5 goals in the Leverkusen - Stuttgart game. 

It was impressive work by Leverkusen that they won despite getting a red card. It really doesn't look like we will see a worse Leverkusen this season. Xabi Alonso will fight for a back-to-back Bundesliga title as it seems.

But at least this time I expect a title challenge between them and Bayern Munich. Maybe even Dortmund as well who knows...    It is up to how good Nuri Şahin will do in his first year.

Leverkusen's performance is still very stable even under pressure and I hope that in other European competitions it will remain the same later.

What is clear is that they not only won the German Supercup title from Stuttgart but also this is a good record when their unbeaten record in the German competition continues and there is no end of praise especially for coach Xabi Alonso who has built these monsters to always win anything. This is the third title for Xabi Alonso since coaching Leverkusen and I am sure there are still other titles that they will be aiming for this season.
