Haller did manage to have a difference brought into the team when he got back and felt better. It is such a weird feeling to see someone transferred, and then get cancer, then beat cancer, then get healthy again, and start playing again and make this much difference.

I mean maybe it wasn't a big deal, maybe all different kinds of cancer could end up with something different and that is the trouble we are facing today, but at the end of the day we have seen how cancer could turn people sickly and this dude made his team win the championship (hopefully with another win of course) after that. It's definitely the greatest footballer season ever, not 90 goals Messi, not 3 in a row UCL Ronaldo, nothing is as extraordinary as what Haller did this season, by far the best ever story I have ever seen.

Dortmund are a strong team but not strong enough to beat Bayern Munich. They are not stable in performance like Bayern Munich and stability is key to win a long league like Bundesliga. If Bayern Munich is a strongest team in Bundesliga, Dortmund is a second strongest team and it means usually they only get a runner-up position behind Bayern Munich.

To win Bundesliga by beating Bayern Munich, Dortmund and other clubs have to make very excellent performance stably throughout a long season or they must need Bayern Munich have a very bad season.
