Age is not really the issue in that case. Benzema is 35 years old and we have seen him do wonders this year. I am not saying that every single 35 year old would have their peak performance season of course, but if Zlatan could play at 40+ and if Benzema could be top la liga and UCL scorer in a season, then I believe Boateng could play very well too. If he ends up not having best of the seasons and ends up with a bad year, then I believe that would be more than just his age that creates the problem, it would probably just him not taking care of his body and not training as hard, because if you do, even at 35 you could be great and it has been proven.

After Boateng returned to Hertha Berlin last year and the contract only went for one year he extended it for another year. Now he has said that the coming season will definitely be his last and that he wants to end his career as a professional player. He is currently 35 years old and that is certainly a good time to step back a bit.
Even though they are quite old but boateng still has a fairly important performance and role for hertha berlin, his ability is still very much needed by hertha berlin for next season and that's why they still offer a contract even though it is short term for boateng, one of the big influences brought by boateng is when they struggled when stuck in the relegation zone and in fact, they had to play in the Bundesliga play-off round against Hamburg, Boateng experience and toughness in midfield were the reason hertha berlin rose in the second leg at that time.

His age has certainly taken a toll. He is not as sharp as before anymore. He was once a really good midfield player. But now he is 35 years old. he does not possess the skills that he once did anymore. I don't think people are going to expect too much from him in the next season. And this does look like a good time for him to hang up his boots.

Robert Lewandowski won't be available in the team for long, he's keen to exit the team anytime soon. The thing is that Bayern Munich are not ready to let go of Lewandowski as they're trying to open bid with inother to peruady him to extend his contract with the team. It's an impossible run for the Bundesliga giant as Robert mind is already made up and he's ready to face new challenges elsewhere. Barcelona are the only team leading the race to to bring him over but with their financial crisis going on, I still doubt if he will definitely come to the team.

Just another example of a player not fully honoring the contract. Then again that type of behavior seems to be pretty common when players don't get their will immediately. It is also driving prices up and of course the salary. Every penny that Barcelona offers him more is one more reason to behave even worse towards Bayern. Who knows though whether Bayern really wants to keep him now that they have Mane. Could also be very likely the case that they want to get the best out of it and then just let Lewandowski go.

The Bundesliga has a big chance ahead to increase the country points. Because they are going to have an extra team that are Frankfurt in the Champions League. It is hard to predict how many of the German teams will manage to qualify for next round after the group stage. However they would like to benefit from this situation as good as possible. I have no doubt that Bayern Munich to move on in the tournament but I can't be very confident about the rest of the teams. You must be remembering even Dortmund couldn't reach the next stage the last time.
It won't be more the same as the previous season I think. Indeed, in terms of slots they are now seeded in the Champions League because they have 5 candidates there, but in this case the Champions League is sometimes not too crowded with the Bundesliga. This season only Bayern can advance but other teams have to fall to the Europa League and I still feel like next season will also be like this. regardless of what sometimes the EPL and La Liga always dominate in the Champions League Group Phase.

By the way Barcelona still shouldn't be too confident about Lewandowski because Chelsea would also be in this race to sign him. I bet Chelsea have much more money in their budget currently so they would be able to make a better offer than Barcelona too. Barcelona will just need to be hopeful about Lewandowski to choose them anyway. Chelsea are like Barcelona's nightmare in this transfer window actually.  Grin  They are signing Raphinha who Barcelona were after also. Barcelona wouldn't like to experience the same thing again.

Robert Lewandowski is not interested in staying at Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, are not keen on leaving Lewandowski at the moment. They are trying their best to keep Lewandowski in the team. But now Robert Lewandowski wants to take on a new challenge. I think it's the right time to leave Robert Lewandowski's team. Because if he decides to leave Bayern Munich a few more seasons later, maybe the big teams will not be interested in Robert Lewandowski. Barcelona wants to sign Robert Lewandowski now, I think if Lewandowski goes to Barcelona now it will be good for his career.

Lewandowski has been a very important player for Bayern Munich scoring goals and helping them win trophies but at this stage of his career he has decided to leave the club for a new challenge elsewhere, I think Bayern should respect his decision and find suitable admirers and deal that will see him move, a deal that will be satisfying to all parties. It would be better to make a deal and let him leave than keeping him against his wishes which will only make him unhappy and that wouldn't be good for the team's performance.
I agree that it is not going to be an insanely well prepared great situation, of course Lewa will be sorely missed if he leaves. However, you can't rely all of your success into just one player, if he leaves then you should be able to get someone to make it work.

I mean they already have great players, so they should be fine if he leaves, at the worst case put Mane there and you are done. This isn't about Lewandowski not being needed or anything, of course he is great, but this is about ANY player in any club, you can't just hope that one player makes or breaks you. If you rely on single player, then you will have to pay 400 million like PSG had to do to stay afloat.

but isn't this transfer fee way too high ? can werder bremen afford another good player now ? i think only Stage won't be enough to survive in the midfield of the bundesliga. one or two good guys have to come. otherwise it will be a damn hard season for bremen.

werder bremen now announces the next transfer and, according to a club statement, has reached "an agreement in principle" with sheffield united on the transfer of Oliver Burke. only formalities are currently still to be clarified. in the 2016/17 season, he made 25 bundesliga games for rb leipzig before moving to the english club west bromwich albion... other stations followed until he now returns to the bundesliga. the player comes to svw on a free transfer Smiley

Besides Man Utd movement in this transfer window he also has been spoke several times with Ten Hag but Ronaldo feel he will not to included for Ten Hag strategy for next season so that's why his agent offering him to Bayern because if Ronaldo want to leave Man Utd then he don't want to joining premier league teams because he said it will hurt Man Utd fans and if this rumours true i think the options is only two teams that Bayern Munich and AS Roma but his agent said Ronaldo want to play at champion league so if Bayern have tempting offers then probably he will choose this club
Bayern did not sell Lewandowski and the transfer window has one month left. If Bayern don't sell Lewandowski, they won't buy Ronaldo as it will create competition between two top strikers and result in conflict internally. Bayern is a club does not like internal conflict of interest between their players. They are not ready to pay to high salary for Ronaldo too as it is one of reasons they have yet agreed to satisfy demand from Lewandowski for a new contract.
Bayern and Lewandowski currently became an one of the most heated rumours and i heard if Bayern aren't allowed him to leave then he wouldn't willing to play for pre season matches and i think rather than hold him Bayern should be sell him because if Lewandowski failed to moved from Bayern i think it also would be a conflict between them and will affect for team performance so i'm sure Lewandowski transfer it's only a matter of time especially Bayern already have Mane but regarding Ronaldo indeed it is still remain rumours because there were no further discussion between his agent and Bayern so far

I've read and heard the name Lewandowski so many times now that the whole topic is now too much for me. That has changed so negative for Lewandowski that he can’t no longer play for Bayern without the fans in the stadium call nasty things at him. They have Mane now and they don't want this arrogance.

I think will for Cristiano Ronaldo cut off his salary for getting chance back participant on UEFA Champion League next season with Bayern Munich, maybe he will cut off salary about 20% until 30% for playing with Bayern Munich next season. Last ended his career actually Cristiano Ronaldo keep trying get performance on Champion League and try to get trophy before retired from football or moving to MLS League. Cristiano Ronaldo still have many passive income source and not only with salary as football player but also he have many kinds passive income, cut off salary and get participants on UEFA Champion League not problem for him.

Well, Cristiano Ronaldo is a well-known player, and even if he doesn't play anymore, he surely has a lot of passive income so he is well-fed enough, I really think he is just very  hungry for more,

But I got the news and it is not a rumor, Cristiano Ronaldo's manager has talked to Chelsea for a Manchester United transfer, that is right they have talked about transferring Ronaldo out of Man City and we could likely see him play for Chelsea next season, Bayern Munich is not planning on getting Ronaldo if they still have Lewandowski, but  it is a bold move to get him at first and declined it immediately after, So Chelseas have shaken up an wants to get Ronaldo I think this is the ARTICLE abut it,

Other news on the Bundesliga

Leipzig have loaned their Goalkeeper Josep Martinez and now have joined Genoa, and Borussia Mönchengladbach have confirmed the Departure of Andreas Poulsen, and player Jude Bellingham has set their minimum price, for Jude Bellingham,

I reckon that the Lewandowski deal is still likely to happen for Barcelona. The reason I think in this way is that I've heard Manchester United convinced Barcelona for an offer to Frenkie de Jong finally. The details of the offer is said to be 65 million euros fee + 20 million euros add-ons. If Barcelona sell de Jong like this then they can raise funds very much and they would have a stronger hand to sign Lewandowski. He is their main target seemingly. Bayern Munich might have a harder time to keep him as of now even though he has one more year to go on his current contract.
Despite getting 2 rejections from bayern munchen but it looks like barcelona has not given up on continuing to get Lewandowski, now Barcelona has submitted a third offer that is bigger than the second offer, and in my opinion now barcelona will most likely be able to get lewandowski because their will get big funds if successfully completing the transfer of De Jong to Manchester United, in my opinion, it will be a loss for Bayern Munich to release Lewandowski because his performance is quite good so far, but Lewandowski desire to leave seems like it will be difficult for Bayern Munich to keep him at the Allianz Arena.

I'm interested to see how this situation is resolved. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that Ronaldo's ambitions outweigh financial considerations, so he can accept a pay cut (he still earns a lot from other sources) just to get into a top club playing in the Champions League (especially in Bayern, where he will be provided with an uninterrupted supply balls from Muller  Grin and from the others).

The variety of rumors is amazing. Yesterday I read that Ronaldno contacted Inter through his agents, but Inter refused the transfer because they cannot pay him the required salary (20 million a year). I do not know how this rumor is justified, but I am sure that at least partially there is truth in this. Therefore, if Ronaldo abruptly moves somewhere (as was the case with Juventus), this will not be a surprise.
Basically Ronaldo still has a high salary at his old age, this factor makes every team who wants him will certainly consider him again. But indeed, it would be more interesting for Ronaldo to join Bayern Munich, considering Lewandowski no longer has ambitions to play for Bayern Munich. Both are great players in their old age, so I don't think there's anything wrong with their gameplay and indeed, it's just the paycheck that sets them apart.

I'm not in agree with you. I don't think that Ronaldo will cut his salary and I don't think at the same time that Bayern will take him. Maybe a team like Roma can do that for only a question of income from shirts ecc. but

I don't think that a team like bayern really necessitate a player like him. Then, ronaldo is so difficult as player and needs a team built around him, and I don't think that Bayern will do this.

Boateng experience and toughness in midfield were the reason hertha berlin rose in the second leg at that time.

Exactly. And not only that. Together with Felix Magath, he has set up the team for the second leg. You can think what you want about Boateng, but here he has been shown once again how important experience is. He put together the right team and so Berlin won the second leg and are still in the 1st Bundesliga.
