There is no way I can see how Schalke will be able to stay in the Bundesliga this season or at least after this season. My opinion is that they are not showing any kind of performance like that at all. At the moment, they are at the bottom of the table and I honestly don't think that they will be able to improve in the near future. There is no way they will improve to a point where they will be eligible to remain in the Bundesliga, so that's at least one thing they can't count on. As far as I am concerned, the religion of them is quite inevitable. In addition, I do not expect them to win any major matches in the near future. If they do win, it is most likely to be an absolute accident and a surprise.

Something is going really wrong with Union Berlin these days. First they lost to Leverkusen which were newly recovering by a score like 5-0. This time they lost to Freiburg by 4-1. Their defense line is just terrible now. The penalty missed by Union Berlin must be the turning point for them. If they were able to make it 2-1 then maybe they wouldn't get a red card. But after conceding 2 goals early and missing a penalty, they were just hopeless. The red card finished them off later on.

It did not take so long before once the league toppers proved to all of us that they are not top 4 candidates. Every week Union Berlin keeps sliding down the table and this week, within the first 20mins they have already recieved a red card and conceded 3 goals.

Bundesliga is known for their unexpected results, so I spend the least amount of money in games for this league.

Leipzig have been one of the attention getting teams for some time. I mean that they haven't got any loss in the Bundesliga, Champions League and DFB Pokal all since October 1. This means 13 matches so far. They got really important or big wins during this time period also. They defeated Freiburg not long ago and they even manage to defeat Real Madrid in the Champions League. They are really unlucky to have a draw against Manchester City there though but the group stage was really good for them.

Now we are watching them in the second place in the Bundesliga standings also. They are doing a great job about keeping both big tournaments solid for themselves for now. There will be a long break from now on and the injury report will be very important after the World Cup. Who knows maybe this time they can manage to keep up with Bayern Munich for a longer time for the league title.

Been betting on both of them plenty this season, until the last couple of games in Europa, Freiburg especially letting me down but that's more because of my insistence on Ritsu Doan making his team more than they are.

Their form going down has coincided with Bayern improving, and so we're left with both pretenders needing to win today to keep their spots alive for Champions League.

Berlin coming off that terrible Leverkusen loss and then away draw, look the more vulnerable. BTTS the safest bet here, but I'm keeping my distance.

Union Berlin have dropped to 3rd standing position right now after Leipzig won from Werder Bremen and have 1 point remaining from Union, most important match for Union want returning back to 2nd position if beat Freiburg.

Freiburg have been in inconsistent form lately after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Leipzig last week, It should have been a momentum for Union Berlin to return to their best form after a series of poor results and the 5-0 defeat to Leverkusen was the biggest defeat of the season. Being 1 point behind Leipzig and 7 points from Bayern at standing position right now should be the motivation for Union Berlin to win against Freiburg and closed 2nd standing awhile until World Cup.

It is going to be a close game I think. Mainz is kind of an up and down team as they lose in very bad ways but then they also beat Cologne 5-0. Frankfurt is a bit more stable, but still prone to throwing games away that they should usually win.

When it comes to Freiburg against Union Berlin, I think that despite Freiburg's loss against RB Leipzig I still believe that they have some momentum on their side. Now when you think back about the game against Bochum, Union Berlin can also get demolished in a game. There is a good chance that Freiburg is going to finish this won successfully. I would bet on them.

This is going to be good enough because it is clear that between Union, Frankfurt and Freiburg now the points are quite tight and the result of the Union and Freibug game will have an effect here.
On the other hand, Frankfurt are currently away to Mainz even though they are currently quite superior in terms of performance, but I personally still doubt whether Mainz will let Frankfurt win easily or not.

Mainz Vs Frankfurt is another fixture that could shape up the table, a win for will take them to second on the table pending on what the outcome of Union vs Frieburg will be. While a point for Mainz will see them climbing to 10. My prediction will be a win for Frankfurt but certainly a goal goal game.
The second game between union and Freiburg, I see Union struggling again in this one and a draw is most likely to happen.

I guess and think that there chances to stay in the first german league is zero and that they straight going down into the second league again.
They need more as just an miracle to get better and win games , they really got no chance against Bayern Munic.

By being at the bottom of the standings with 2 wins, 3 draws and 10 defeats, it is not easy for them to get out of their slump. They are 5 points adrift of the current safe zone limit. Even though the league is still very long, once again if they don't improve their performance it is very unlikely for them to get out of this red zone. Currently, the competition at the bottom of the standings has shown a gap that might make it easy for us to choose a team that will be relegated.

After failing to maintain its consistency, today Unin Berlin is in 3rd place, only superior in productivity to host Freiburg. It will be an interesting match between the two teams to be able to move past each other in the table.
