Dortmund have a tough opponent ahead this time seemingly. It is Hoffenheim and it is an away match in a few days. Dortmund have been doing a solid work for two weeks in the Bundesliga. They should be able to maintain the current form by defeating Hoffenheim too. But Hoffenheim are one of the best home teams of the season at the same time. They lost only once in their nine home games in this league. But Dortmund defeated them last season by 1-0 and they are playing well enough to repeat it.
By the way, it is really good to see Leipzig maintaining a win streak of two games in the Bundesliga now. Because they have had a really bad season so far and they are searching for a way out. And in their last game against Stuttgart, they got a 2-0 win. But interestingly, Stuttgart were playing much stronger than them actually. And they still couldn't even score one goal which is a big luck for Leipzig. Leipzig are now just two points behind the team at the 5th position that are Freiburg now.
I am also glad that Leipzig has finally started to climb up the standings. The German Championship lacks worthy competitors Bayern Munich and potentially Leipzig should be one of such competitors. We can say that the team has prepared fruitfully during the winter break and now has two wins to its credit. Not without a bit of luck plus the skill of the goalkeeper allowed Leipzig not only to keep the advantage, but also to score their own goal in a counterattack. If they could get an arrival of players that has potential and if there they don't have departures for their good players or Taiwo Awoniyi, Grischa Prömel, Max Kruse, Niko Gießelmann, Julian Ryerson, and Andreas Voglsammer would still stay next season or they could get an additional player that has Robert Lewandowski, or Erling Haaland caliber then they surely get a potential and sure that would be a competitive match between the top 3 on the standings,
I also thought that Frankfurt would win this match, but Augburgs Michael Gregoritsch has turned the match into a draw, and Frankfurt couldn't retaliate from the shock, and their players Timothy Chandler, Almamy Toure, and Tuta have acquired yellow cards that keep their opportunity in winning slim.

They should have done it a long time ago, well we can not say their win against Stuttgart is just of luck, if you would look at their match stat, there are just many numbers for Stuttgart on their shot's and shot on target, but accuracy is more important in a match, and Leipzig is more accurate with their shot that ends them in a win.

Freiburg and Bayern are different opponents and Dortmund will have a bigger challenge when their opponent is Bayern. I don't know Dortmund begin match against Bayern fearfully or not but such matches are never easy for Dortmund. Especially when they have to begin with a lower position and big point gap need to be filled or reduced. Frankfurt badly needed that win, but they are Struggling in making a goal against Augsburg that 14 shots they made and only 1 goal to be scored was really upsetting to the number 8 team in the standing, Augsburg is still safe in the relegation spot but they still need to climb up the position just to be safe, because Arminia and Stuttgart can sure catch up in just 1 win or a draw score, While Armina VS Furth doesn't really end well for them because they are the teams in the bottom of the standings and in the relegation state, so both of them are badly needing a win.

Dortmund and Bayern Munich were just perfect on this week and they both won their matches very easily. Dortmund were hoping Bayern Munich to lose points maybe but completely the opposite happened. Bayern Munich didn't have any difficulty in destroying Koln. We watched a duel between Haaland and Lewandowski also. Haaland scored 2 goals and Lewandowski answered by making an hat-trick.
These two clubs are doing great. It's quite unfortunate that there was when Dortmund really dropped in pace because of Haaland absence, that was when Bayern overtook them with some good margins. It will be difficult to overtake Bayern again because they equally have their own goal machine (Lewandowski). And both clubs are just being very careful, especially Bayern as their recent loss to glashbag In 2019, Union Berlin was promoted from the 2. Bundesliga. Many thought they would make it 2 years at most in the 1. Bundesliga and then get relegated again. Now it is already their 3rd year and they are in 5th place. A lot can still happen, but they will not be relegated. The win against Hoffenheim gives them even more self-confidence.
