Pretty sure there are many players on Bayern that may Succeed him, but for me, the talent and skill of Robert Lewandowski is still there and the way he played right now is just phenomenal but he will eventually be replaced by the younger generation that is for sure, and right now in the Bayern Munich team they had Serge Gnarby that is on Quarantine and can not play at the moment, Thomas Muller Joshua Kimmich that is also on quarantine, and Leroy Sane,

In my opinion, Leipzig was really great last season, I don't know what happen but the player departure goes to show a lot of things, and there are certainly great players that have left Leipzig on the verge of their success, but maybe there are still chance for Leipzig to make it to the 2nd standing, as long as Dortmund is still in bad shape.

Muller is just a year younger than Lewandowski so I feel he might retire around the same time as Lewis so he's definitely not an ideal candidate. Tbh, no one has shown enough potential yet to be a goal hunter like Lewandowski. The only player I know with such potential is in Dortmund and that's Haaland. His contract with Dortmund expires in about 2 years and more potential players could spawn up in the near future too.

Maybe but maybe not, he could still play another season, prior to Lewandowski's retirement, and I could see many potential candidates in the Bayern Munich team that will be sprung to be a good candidate, but I guess they can not attain the greatness of Robert Lewandowski just yet, but speaking of Erling Haaland, the potential of being like Lewandowski it totally beyond, but Dortmund can not keep him in the team forever, so he might have a potential to go to Bayern or other clubs that could sustain his talent fee, but for now it is a good thing for Dortmund having Haaland, and right now they attain the 2nd standing in the 1st division.

Bayer Leverkusen have been really terrible for many weeks. They lost and got draws two times in their last four Bundesliga games. They would still have been right behind Bayern Munich if they didn't start getting unsatisfying results. They need to find a way out of this worrying situation. And they actually have a golden opportunity to achieve this in their coming game against Bochum. Because Bochum are pretty bad in defense now. And Leverkusen are gonna have a home game too. They should win this game easily and take a deep breath finally.

We can say that Freiburg has replaced Bayer Leverkusen this season. They have been performing very well since the beginning of the year. Wolfsburg is following them. RB Leipzig bounced back in the last games after a bad start.
Bayern München will win on Friday and widen the gap with their rivals. Augsburg is on the relegation zone and they don't have much power. They can't get a point against Bayern. Borussia Dortmund can show a similar performance against Stuttgart and win the match. Don't expect big surprises this week.

The league like is bundesliga and ligue 1, so far only 1 team has continued to dominate the competition and it can be said that maybe the uncompetitiveness of the league makes people lazy to watch, I personally only choose to watch the bundesliga match if Der Klassiker occurs, namely a match between bayern munchen and Dortmund, the rest maybe I will prefer to enjoy the English league or the Italian league.
Last year Leipzig performance was interesting and it annoyed Bayern a lot at some point. Same goes for Lille in Ligue 1. But this season so far there isn't much annoyance for PSG and Bayern so it is normal to see people preferring more competitive leagues especially EPL with the many stars playing there and La Liga especially teams in the first positions.

I totally agree Lewandowski has yet at at least 2 - 3 year’s of top football left in him, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he extended it to 5 year’s or more. However I’m kinda disappointed as he wants to continue playing at Bayern only, because I felt that this is best time for him to make a move to Manchester City or Manchester United or probably even Real Madrid.
Lewandowski is like Ibra and Ronaldo. They are all very professional and did not have too many serious injuries in their career. So they can have long career than others.

Messi is different and more similar to Robben. They both were vulnerable with injuries when they were young. Then they changed their playing style and play smarter to avoid tackles from defenders. Robben and Messi evolved a lot and have less injuries later on.

Lewandowski is still top striker so he won't like the offer of Bayern to resign his contract each year. He want a new contract that gives him a chance to end his career safely, with good salary. If Bayern won't give him such offer, I believe he will leave.

@EdenHazard I want to say I don't think that Bundesliga is the most competitive league in Europe. I think the English Premier League has taken that spot. Because a League is nothing without competition and Bayern Munich does not seem to have March of competition right now. But in EPL almost all the teams really good. They got good players innermost all the teams. And there is a reason why the English Premier League attracts more audiences.
Bundles liga is also competitive we might say Bayern is one of the best in bundles liga but doesn't mean they are unbeatable at least they have also lost and drawn matches so it's a bit competitive even though we might say not as the English premier league but there is still a competition in bundles liga
many people are not interested in watching the Bundesliga, maybe because most people are tired of seeing no other champion besides Bayern Munich, Bayern Munich has won the Bundesliga League several times, and it has been confirmed that Bayern Munich is the king of the Bundesliga.

Reus just publicly announced that he is convinced Dortmund will become the next champion....
~snip~
It is a really big claim that Reus made then.  Grin  Because there is a really tough job waiting for Dortmund in this season. Bayern Munich are still in a great shape and they opened the gap by three more points last week also. We are in the middle between the beginning and the half season of course. But Bayern Munich seem to be very decisive to win the title this season also. Dortmund have to show their biggest performance ever to take the lead from Bayern Munich and become the champions. But I know also that Reus wants to give hope to their fans as they are having a good season in the Bundesliga this time.
From year to year dortmund continue to make claims that they will be able to destroy the dominance of bayern munchen in the bundesliga, but in fact they themselves are not able to play consistently in every decisive match, the 2019/2020 season dortmund management also do the same thing and say if dortmund will can win the 2020/21 season but in fact Bayern munchen is again showing its dominance in the league, I think if dortmund has not stopped selling its best players to rival clubs it will be very impossible for dortmund to stop the domination of bayern munchen.

Honestly, it is actually hard not to sell players if the money is good. And also if the money is needed. This thing has been happening for or some seasons now that a player has been playing well in the league and then Bayern Munich buys him. And the team who sold those player thinks that they will get a better player at that price but what ends up happening is the player goes to Bayern Munich and become a twice better player than he was and basically his price goes very much up.

Yes. By the way, I like Bayern Munich's style. They buy almost any player that is doing great in the league or could cause any problems for them. Last year the captain of Leipzig caused some problems for them in the field. So this season Bayern Munich bought him. They are like if you can't beat them then buy them, lol.

This is true and by now there is a good couple of examples that have proven to still be competitive at very high ages. There is Ibrahimovic, there is Ronaldo who will still be playing in three years from now, then there is Buffon of course. Even Matthäus back in the days or Maldini. Pirlo is another example. I am of the impression that Lewandowski can play at an absolute top level for a couple of years more.
Thats treu, in lewandowski,s position the age is not really a big matter and we have too many examples, the best one is Ibrahimovic as you can see that he still scoring and doing great in almost every league that he played in, lewandowski case will not be different in my opinion

Bayern seems to be a good place for him and he is not having any problems in Bayern Munich. So I don't think he is going to leave. And when you can get trophies every season why leave the team right? But I think he could have tested himself playing with some other teams. A lot of big teams are still interested in him.

Lewandowski seems will have no further career at bayern munich , his golden age has passed .

there is no sufficient talent to replace him at the club except for acquring an instant talent from dortmund which its like has become a tradition to pick dortmund best player every damn year lol.
and yeah speaking about bundesliga title contenders .. everyone would of course love to see leipzig to lift the bundesliga trophy , but they still inconsitent , a hard work needed.
LOL. How did you come to this conclusion? Using a calendar? Lewandowski is not young, it is obvious, but he still has several years left when he will play at his usual level (and this level is fantastic), I would not be surprised if Lewandowski gets the golden ball in this or any of the following years.
It is clear to me that there is a problem with age guessing and when players will be bad these days. Back in the day (literally when I was young, not too long ago, 10-15 years ago) players would retire at age 30-35 range, I have seen people either retire at 30, or just go to very worse teams than their peak. I remember so many players who at the age of Lewa is right now, ended up becoming coaches, assistant coaches and even managers. So right now our understanding of age has changed a lot, Ibrahimovic is almost getting to 41 and he is still scoring goals like it is nothing.

Ronaldo is what 36 soon to be 37? Dude is one of the best players in the world even at that age, Lewa is scoring goals better than anyone else at his age. So yeah, I understand people expecting them to get worse, I would too if I am 30 years old or more like me, because we have seen players become horrible at that age when we were young, now they are getting to their peak at that age, it is a little confusing.

I wonder how big the gap between Dortmund and Bayern Munich will be until Erling Haaland bounces back from his injury.
Haaland is a great player and an asset of Dortmund. His contribution for Dortmund is huge but please don't exaggerate the with Haaland, Dortmund will automatically fight against Bayern better. Last season, with healthy Haaland, Dortmund still fell far behind Bayern on the table sot the same gap can happen in this season even if Dortmund have a healthy Haaland.

Quote
For now, he is expected to come back in mid December. There were some rumours like he wouldn't be back before the new year. But it turns out that he can. He is their biggest player when it comes to scoring in the end. Being deprived of him, they are having more problems. For example, maybe they would have won against Leipzig or got at least a point if he was able to play.
This is only rumor but this injury and rumor reminds us about the risk of overuse young players. Many young players lost their career because of serious injuries. Walcott, Wilshere in Premier League are examples. They never came back to their best after recovery from injuries. Dortmund and Haaland have to take care of health condition for Haaland and how he should play, take rest at the right time.

If his body is not fine, the club should give him break time to recover.

You have a good point there that Dortmund couldn't get close to Bayern Munich till the end of the season. Dortmund weren't even at the second place and there was a gap of 14 points between them and Bayern Munich. Haaland scored 27 goals in that season of Bundesliga. I must admit that Dortmund are playing much better as a team this season. In the end, they can't win titles being dependent on Haaland only.

When it comes to the injury topic, I hope that Haaland doesn't come back as a weaker player. He is going to be out for quite a long time in the end. But I believe in him to continue from where he left. He is a very special player and none of us would like to see him losing his perfect performance.

Reus just publicly announced that he is convinced Dortmund will become the next champion.... Hm, as much as I like Dortmund, but that is not going to happen. Will see when they face each other in a couple of weeks.

Regarding the injury, no, Haaland is a different type of player and he is also much more robust than the players you mentioned. He isn't really the kind of guy who get injured because of a tackle as he has a very strong physique. He is going to come back even stronger. I have no doubt about that.
It is difficult for Dortmund to be able to win the Bundesliga this season or the next few seasons as long as Dortmund's player transfer system is quite bad, even a few seasons before they sold star players to rival clubs Bayern Munich, ranging from Lewandoski to Mario Gootze who became the star players that Dortmund sold to rival club and I think it's a very bad decision.

Yes but you have to look at it from a different angle: imagine both are a snowball rolling down a mountain, but Bayern is the much bigger snow ball already. They are gaining exponentially more power than Dortmund over time. That is the problem. The gap already is too big. If Bayern wants a player from Dortmund, they can just buy it out because 1) they have the money and 2) the player would want to leave Dortmund for Bayern for sure. Closing that gap is impossible unless Bayern is badly managed over a longer period of time.
