@hd49728 Dortmund have already clarified that Halland won’t be sold this season, but next season he’s definitely being sold and Dortmund can’t keep him beyond 2021 - 2022. Also I doubt that their performances will be severely effected because they’ll reinvest in little unknown player who’ll prove equal to Sancho and then two season later sell him, it’s typical Dortmund thing.
I still think that it was a financial situation and not a personal one that they ended up keeping him. If someone offered 200 million, do you really think that they would keep him? Of course they wouldn't, that dude would have been sold faster than I can take my socks off, but he wasn't offered that much money and that is why Dortmund realized they could simply sell Sancho and then use that money to try once again next season with Haaland on the roster to go champions league.

After that if they sell Haaland, at least they will both have money, and be in champions league and have good chance to build a roster that could maybe fight to get out of the group stages thanks to all that money. That is why I think their only goal right now is to finish the season either first, or very least second with Haaland on the roster, that would have a logic for not selling him.

Thank you for the article.

I see Dortmund play fair and respect their players. They provide clear message on what they want from players. 2 transfer season ago, they wanted to keep Sancho, this transfer season, they let him go to Manchester United but keep Haaland. Next season they will allow Haaland to negotiate with other clubs.

I respect Dortmund on how they treat their players fairly and respectfully.

Dortmund have good scouts and they will return soon.

Yes of course he is going to leave, but not this year. I doubt Dortmund is going to leave Sancho and Haaland in the same year. I just don't think there is any chance for that to happen unless, as I said, the transfer fee is a real moonshot.
They will wait for Haaland to grow up more and sell as higher as possible and I agree that they might not want to sell both two big stars in a same transfer season. They need time to rebuild their team, to find another player as replacement for Sancho and to make sure their performance won't be affected too much.

With Dortmund, they will sell star players to enrich their balance sheet and Haaland will not feel happy in Dortmund if he plays there in many years.

Without Sancho and Haaland, Dortmund will have trouble making it even into the champions league qualification. Hell, it could even be close for the Europen League. Imagine they have two or three injuries during the season and Sancho and Haaland are gone, game over!
In the past season Dortmund struggled to get a position to Champions League. It would be terrible if they sell both Sancho and Haaland.

If Haaland leaves Dortmund at the moment, Dortmund will not be able to perform well next season. It seems to me now that Haaland is not interested in being on the Dortmund team at the moment.
If that will happen that Haaland also wants to leave you are right , that for sure will be hurting Dortmund .
Dont know if they already looking for or have any contacts with maybe new players for the coming season but i guess they will.
Fingers crossed that they can keep a very good Team for the start of the League.
Dortmund are reportedly ready to keep Haaland because they think losing Sancho  has been very detrimental them, but of course the absolute decision rests with Halaand whether he wants to stay or not, because if a player wants to leave but is still banned by the club, it is certain that the player will not play wholeheartedly later, according to Italian journalist Ekrem Konur, Dortmund are currently approaching several names in anticipation of haalaand leaving in this season, and currently dormund are asking £150 million for clubs looking to sign Haaland and Chelsea reportedly have bid for Haaland around £60 million plus chelsea gave their striker Tammy Abraham instead.

Haaland won't leave. Sure he is disappointed as Sancho exactly knew how to play with Haaland successfully, but Dortmund will simply not let Haaland go unless the offered transfer fee is out of this world. Dortmund definitely has a game plan and they thought, well if we keep Haaland, we need to make good cash anyway so better sell Sancho than Haaland. If you ask me that was a smart decision. Given the circumstances with the pandemic, they probably couldn't keep all of those players with high market values. Now they are on the safe side for sure.
Haaland is leaving Dortmund for sure.We have known Dortmund for always selling their best players every season, and replacing them with upcoming ones.Lewandowski left, and Aubameyang emerge, they sold Aubameyang and Haaland and Sancho emerge,so they have the believe that once a big name leaves, another one will emerge. So I don't think Haaland leaving the team will have anything to do with Dortmund. The only reason Haaland may remain there is when no good offer comes for him.

Before any of these transfer talks happened and before any team showed any "real" interest, I always imagined what would happen if Haaland played in Liverpool. Think about it, put mane on one side, put salah on the other side, put haaland at striker, put firmino behind haaland as well like a proper 10 and let them play. At that level you could literally just keep everyone else at defense, because those 4 will end up with finding a way to score no matter what, you would have Liverpool scoring the most goals ever.

~snip~

Haaland at Liverpool, you say. Actually it'd also be really good. Haaland would be the new Suarez of Liverpool. He would score many goals if he doesn't have big problems on adapting to the team. Liverpool like to play a quick football and it really fits Haaland. He likes it also and he's accustomed to it at Dortmund. At Liverpool, their CFs are: Firmino, Origi and Awoniyi.

Awoniyi has newly come back to the team as his loan has ended. Origi is just not good. He didn't have much chance and he didn't play good when he had the chance. He scored only one goal which was not even in the EPL. When it comes to Firmino, he was way better than Origi of course. He scored 9 goals and made 7 assists in 36 league games. But it isn't enough for a good striker also.

As a result, they'd really make use of a top striker in the next season. They can't do with Salah and Mane only. Haaland is the best choice for them but I haven't heard any news about they will make an offer for him.

I would say its not only in England , Spain or Italy harder to score goals there , its in germany also hard to score goals , just remember when Haaland havnt scored for a few games.
Also it depends on the Team and what kind of other players you have around , mostly it makes the difference if you have good players on your side that making assists.
But we will see what he will doing or if he stay in Germany .

Now we know that Liverpool is probably not going for him, but the idea of that is still the same, put that into any other team and you will see it. I do not think that it is the difference between bundesliga or premier league that matters, premier league is the place that had 9-0 score in a game, I am sure that it will not be a problem for Haaland to score 20+ there neither but it all depends on the team. Put him on Chelsea and he may have hard time, put him on Liverpool and he will do it, put him on a team like City for example who lost their striker this year? He may end up scoring record breaking goals.

Just readed and heared that Dortmunds Sancho will leave Dortmund and going to Manchester united for 85 Mil.
Haaland is not happy about that , maybe we see some Transfer sooner as we thought.
They both was a good Team together.

Sancho has moved to the Manchester United squad. Now the Dortmund team will rely entirely on Haaland. If Haaland leaves Dortmund at the moment, Dortmund will not be able to perform well next season. It seems to me now that Haaland is not interested in being on the Dortmund team at the moment.

No matter how good his game in the Bundesliga last season, of course Halland will need time to adapt if he plays in the EPL next season, we know the style of play in the EPL and the Bundesliga has a big difference, the game in England is not as fast as in the Bundesliga, but in the EPL the style of play is hard often happens so there are more duels than from the Bundesliga and this of course makes players need strong stamina, but I think Halland can be the best solution for Chelsea next season to sharpen their attack line, especially if Halland will be supported by players like Kante , Mount, Havertz, Pulisic and also Ziyech will certainly make it easier for Halland to be able to more score goals for Chelsea later.

Yeah, the team composition will be very important for Chelsea. With the players you mentioned, Haaland should be very relieved about scoring many goals. Still he may have some adaptation problems in the EPL like Werner's had. But I don't think that Haaland would be the same. He can adapt more quickly and continue to be a goal machine.

Bundesliga is much more diffrent in style from other leagues so i dont think he was better much then ronaldo at this age . Most of the top strikers score much more goals in this league because it an attacking style and thats the mentality of germans. In for example in england its much more harder to score 20+ goals and i would like to see Halland score so many goals there like he does in budesliga

We all know that Haaland is a great player,a goal machine,a nice finisher, yes he is,but my concern for Haaland leaving Dortmund to England is,can he Excel at England?we've seen many great players who where very good when they were in other leagues, become flop when they come to England, because England is not just a place you come and play fancy football without backing it up with energy. It us the most competitive and combative league in the world.English premier league is not German bundesliga or Laliga where a striker bags more than 30 goals per season. In England, the defenders take it upon themselves to defend their teams, and so it makes scoring hard for strikers.I think if Haaland still wants to remain a top footballer the way he is,he should just remain at Dortmund.

We never know it before he goes to an EPL club. But yeah, maybe he won't be able to do good at Chelsea or some other EPL club. He's adapted to Dortmund so much that he's been performing very well. I guess that he is content about his performance. But we also don't know if Haaland thinks about playing in another league in the next season. I've started waiting for his decision. I will still continue to watch him at Dortmund delightedly even if he doesn't leave.

With Haaland, he can score more than 30 goals. Probably he can not now but in the future, he will be able to score 30 to 40 goals each season. Do people call Haaland as a next Cristiano Ronaldo? He even has better body than Ronaldo and he achieves more things than CR7 at his age.

In his twenties, CR7 was not a goal machine like Haaland.

I also think that Haaland will be at least one season more in Dortmund and then it depends how far Dortmund has come .
Also i can imagine that he will get an offer from Chelsa and from Bayern Munich or other big Teams.
Hope to see him in the German League longer.
I believe that Haaland will leave Bundesliga and will not join Bayern Munich. He is not a German player so he does not has interest to stay in Bundesliga. Premier League or La Liga can be the destination for Haaland with more competitive clubs.

I have seen that type of fear for many players in the past but in the more global world these days I do not think that it is a problem anymore. Back in the day premier league was the place where there is a little bit more localization happen, like yeah you could be United that wins the UCL but when you go to brighton and face them it still feels like you are going to hell and trying to get out of there is your priority not winning.

However with the later stages of the football industrialization it became so close with each other that I believe playing in bundesliga and playing in England is not "that" different. I would say that any team that gets him would be playing more league games than a bundesliga schedule, at least 2 cup games (probably) with FA cup and another, then european games probably further than what Dortmund can survive. So basically we are talking about maybe 40 games a season at dortmund if you are lucky into playing maybe 60+ games so that is the biggest challenge.
