M'Gladbach 2-1 Werder
Leverkusen 3-1 Wolfsbourg
Fribourg vs Eintracht, no clue maybe a draw?

I always prefer the team that builds talent with youth & doesn’t spend too much money. I much prefer Dortmund to Bayern, obviously my love for Klopp leads me to preferring BVB too. I really hope Dortmund can win the title, they’re 4 points behind Bayern so they really can’t afford to lose this game.

Dortmund is mostly made up of young players. However, the team's budget is not as low as you think. I think they are a very high budget team. Haaland transfer was not a transfer that a very low budget team could make.

They are selling their players at high value so they have money to spend on new signings.
Just think of how many good players Dortmund has sold over the last years. Dembele, Goeche, Aubameyang are also some examples of that. This way Dortmund is making money in order to be able to make new signings.

Dortmund often sells the young and talented players they buy at a higher price. This is an economically beautiful thing. But they don't always buy the players they buy very cheaply.

Let's take a look a bit;

Mats Hummels; 35 Million €
Axel Witsel; 20 Million €
Aubameyang; 15 Million € (and sold 65 Million € to Arsenal)

But they also have a cheapest;

Dan-Axel Zagadou; 150K €
Achraf Hakimi; 5 Million €

So I mean my previous post that Dortmund have a good budget. But they are managing this budget thing well.

many news channels are talking about this game, I even saw news with the following title:

Haaland vs Lewandowski

it seems that on the field there will only be these two players.  Grin
The main point is that this is there first meet together in a game. So everybody cannot wait to see this
Lewandowski is the striker in the Bundesliga and Haaland is one of those players who can shake up the status quo

for me that was Leverkusen with Ballack, they played great football, and reached CL final with Real Madrid, but Zidane fantastic goal took them title in the end, and they did not make to take first Bundesliga title in club history as well, maybe Kai could change things next season, in case he stay with the club

If I remember correctly, they were in contention for 3 trophies that season. Lost the cup final, then the title with a loss to a bottom part of the table team (can't recall which one) 2 or 3 games before the end and then lost that CL final against Real Madrid. In the summer they sold Ballack and Ze Roberto and barely avoided relegation and got knocked out in 2nd CL group stage without collecting a single point.

I liked that team, with Ballack, Ze Roberto, Lucio, Basturk, Berbatov and Kirsten. 3 Croatian players were there as well at that point - none of them any good btw Grin

yeah, it was like that, but nevertheless great team, that was really enjoyable to follow

regarding this season, would consider them with small chances in case of draw in Dortmund today, they have a chance with seven wins (including one over Bayern at home), since there are matches between other teams, and it could happen, although odds for title in Leverkusen are small

I really hope we will see an exciting game.

and in another news channel they were talking about the victory that Bayern had 7 years ago when they defeated Borussia Dortmund in the champions league, this will be a very disputed game

I wonder:

who between those two players will score a goal?

I am of the opinion that Lewandowski is more likely to score at least 1 goal in this game

I guess everybody is looking today for the most intresting match
I really hope we will see an exciting game. It seems that most of the players from Bayern are well. Dortmund has a few question marks with Alex Wittel.  Marco Reus will definetly not joining the game but Mats Hummels are in with 99 per cent

Agree with your opinion, my prediction is Draw for the next matches. Especially Dortmund and Bayern games can be chosen wisely for betting on goal markets. The both mentioned games have the highest chance of BTTS and over 2.5 goals, IMHO.
Young, talented and powered fully don't mean that Dortmund will be allowed to play the tactics they want because Bayern is wisely enough to try to cool down the Dortmund's young players and control the match in the direction they want to have. If Dortmund don't pay attention on the defensive system, they will highly be trapped by Bayern. Bayern has Lewandowski, the leader in the Bundesliga's top scorers and is still one of the best strikers over the world.

Bayern still has to play Leverkusen away and Monchengladbach at home, also Wolfsburg away in the last game of the season. On the other hand, Borussia has only Leipzig away that can be considered as a tough game so I'd say overall Dortmund has a better (easier) fixtures list. If they can win today, I'd consider them favorites to lift the championship.

Bayern is practically unreachable if they win today, but I'd consider them strong favorites even if they get a draw.

I will bet on Dortmund and i guess they can do it and if they win this match the last match days would be more intresting.
If Bayern Munich will win it they have to 90 % the Championship.

The two big teams Hamburg & Stuttgart have by far the best players, but both are struggling to get their act together. On Thursday evening there will be a crucial match, because they play each other. Guess all the other teams will hope for a draw Cheesy Would be ok-ish result for Hamburg, but Stuttgart needs those 3 points badly imo - and if it's just to regain some self-confidence, they look completely lost since the season has resumed.
If Stuttgart will lost his game against Hamburg and Bielefeld will won his next game, its pretty clear that Bielefeld are going to promoted to the Bundesliga 1.
But next game from Bielefeld is at May 30! That is a big advantage for them because they don’t have an englisch week like the other clubs. Actually they would have to play against Dresden. But Dresden has his Corona Trail and so they will repeat the play day 27 at June 15th.

Has anyone checked the game results according the age averages of the teams? I have a theory that teams with higher age average would have been more successful these rounds because every player is out of breath after a while and they are getting back on shape and many of the young players run far too much which makes them be even more tired than the older players whereas older players are usually more talented because they have more experience and know what to do in situations.

I don't have any data about this and maybe I could be wrong but if there is someone who can find age averages of the teams and check their results it could come up with a great result that we will probably (hopefully) never see again after giving such a break and coming back and see if talent overcomes age easily.

Dortmund has talented young players so I think Dortmund will be strong to face Bayern Munich this week, and for the title this season I am strong enough to compete where Bayern are now in the top position with a few points difference so from this match you cannot miss meaning to lose. from bayern munchen so they can catch up in the standings and minimize points for Dortmund.

Dortmund talent players will not leave if they win this season.

If Heidenheim manages to promote to Bundesliga, I will stop watching football Tongue

Quoted for future reference lol Cool

Stuttgart was my favorite team when Kuranyi, Mario Gomez, Tomasson, Cacau, and Hildebrand were still playing there. They were amazing team in 2000's but in the 2010's till now their performance is so bad even they relegated twice to 2.Bundesliga.

lol why? we need some context, man  Cheesy

Hehe, I don't know, I can't stand them and the football they play. They come from a small city, have a small stadium and a small fanbase. It's just a very uninteresting club in total, that plays ugly football. Only Sandhausen is worse in all regards Cheesy

The Bundesliga has lost a lot of big teams with huge tradition in the last years, like Kaiserslautern, 1860, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Nürnberg. So I don't like to see these small-ish clubs promoting and taking spots away^^ Wolfsburg and Leipzig are small-ish too and they occupy spots in Bundesliga permanently and I don't see this changing in the near future. Leverkusen is kind of small-ish too, but at least they have huge tradition in Bundesliga.

Hamburg, Stuttgart, Kaiserslautern, Nürnberg belong in Bundesliga all things considered, but they are just poorly managed for ages already and the smaller clubs (Augsburg, Mainz, Freiburg) caught up and even overtook them. There is just 18 spots in Bundesliga unfortunately Smiley

Dortmund is mostly made up of young players. However, the team's budget is not as low as you think. I think they are a very high budget team. Haaland transfer was not a transfer that a very low budget team could make.

Haaland was paid with Ousmane Dembele money, Borussia is for sure a 'develop great youngsters' team. That's the main reason why Ousmane Dembele chose them when transferring from Rennes, that's the reason why Haaland chose them in favor of teams like Manchester United and that's why they can always attract young quality players.
They sign them, give them game time and responsibility and don't stand in their way once they decide to leave. Sancho will probably leave soon, he will cost 100 mil+ (if coronavirus does not kill the market) and Borussia will be able to invest that money into 3-5 new quality young players.

It is a great system to run a club debt free while staying competitive, it's not a winning one in the long run unfortunately.
Their transfer budget is a reflection of their outgoing transfers - and they are not what you call a high budget team.
