Is Stuttgart finally in the (from me) long awaited slump ? Is Mainz finally getting their act together or was the win against Leipzig just a fluke ? I don't know for sure, I only know that these odds for Mainz look huge today. They have a new coach, Christian Heidel aka Mr. Mainz is back as manager, they signed Kohr & Da Costa from Frankfurt and they have underperformed all season long - Mainz isn't that bad.
Stuttgart is really playing a good season considering they are freshly promoted. But they only won 5 games, so they didn't win 13. At home they actually didn't win a single game so far, it's in away games, where they are collecting most of their points. And I doubt they will get their first home win for this season today, because Mainz must be super confident travelling there and Stuttgart is lacking confidence. When he came back at Ajax it was also more to learn the younger players. Lets say he would be important in the trainings.
But he still had the driver and when he played he kept scoring. So for Schalke he can be helpful if he doesn't get any injuries. At his age is harder to recover quickly.

Sometimes even the lowest of teams could end up with a good game, I know that mainz is a very low level team but they had a great game and end up getting the win. They are playing stuttgart this week for example and there is a 90%+ chance they will lose once again.

I guess Ibrahimovic is still better then Huntelaar but Huntelaar was still playing well at Ajax this season so he can be helpfull for Schalke. (funny fact Huntelaar and Ibrahimovic both played for Ajax)

I think Huntelaar and Ibrahimovic are very different level of players. Sure Huntelaar was a great player on his peak and he was one of the best scorers in the world during that peak, but he is no longer that person whereas Ibrahimovic was always one of the best but at 40 years old he didn't lose too much of his talents, he still scores enough to be at top of Serie A scoring title race.He don't need that much time and room to score so let's see what he can do in the remaining part of this season.
I am not saying Huntelaar was a bad transfer neither, think about it this way, Ibrahimovic is the striker for the team in serie a that wants to win the league title versus Huntelaar is the player who wants to keep schalke in bundesliga, so even though I think Ibra is better, Huntelaars jobs seems like requires less talent. Of course keeping ateam above the relegation zone is very important and tough as well but you do not need to be the best scorer in the world to do that, you just need 10 goals and you will probably achieve it.
