The same discussion in Germany, or only games without fans?

I think they should just cancel all games, because watching Gladbach - Köln right now is just utterly boring without spectators. It's like watching some friendly match during winter break in Malaga Cheesy They should just record some chants and play them over the speakers or put some music in the stadium, because this is unwatchable Cheesy I'd rather watch no football at all then.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
This is really a concern for fear of spreading to other players and it seems like this one player must be quarantined as soon as possible so that he can recover quickly.

So with one Bundesliga player exposed to the corona virus then all BundesLiga schedules will be delayed for a while?
Quarantine is only solved that case of the infected player. There are how many playmates and players from other teams he contacted. Furthermore, his club's staffs and his family members are under risks too.

If it is not that player, the fastly explosion of infected cases in the Europe and Germany will force the Germany governments have to think of halting the league. Careful and prevention is better than cure, always.

The Europe is very connected together so nations there have to corporate each other to solve the pandemic.

I think in Europe it has been infected so much so this part will continue to spread quickly and correctly what you say the German government must make wise decisions to secure the league from the Covid-19 attack, like Italy the government has temporarily stopped the match until conditions recovered back in his country.

Well Germany is still a bit infected with Covid-19 so I think this can prevent it from starting before it is endemic to others.

It's not a Bundesliga player, but a player from 2. Bundesliga. He caught that virus while being on some party in another city on Saturday. He hasn't been in contact with his teammates after that, so he is just quarantined and we can move on.

And it's no big blow for Hannover, since he is just some scrub to fill their roster spots Grin

Bundesliga will probably stop now, one player is positive to Coronavirus.

Bad news!

It comes sooner than expected but it is unavoidable. When locals infected with the Coronavirus, players have close contacts with some of them, so sooner or later there are players will be infected and football in the Europe will be halted. I guess maybe this year, we will not have the Euro 2020 and it will be the first time after so many decades, we witness a big football event (World Cup or Euro) will be delayed by serious reasons, globally and locally and don't relate to wars.

It look's like we are going to see many empty stadiums in the Bundesliga soon. Hopefully our governments can control the Covid-19 outbreak sooner than later. Currently the whole situation looks pretty threatening, especially for the worlds economy. Football in general should take a step back here. Human health is more important. If football matches are played in front of empty ranks, I personally welcome this decision.

Bundesliga games behind closed doors?
DFL boss Seifert: "We all wish for a Bundesliga with full stadiums. That's currently put into question. You can't prepare for that. The competent authorities decide and we follow the decisions." [Bild]

I don't think there will be many games without an audience.
The state will not dare to ban the beloved football.  It will be more of a problem if football players get infected and the whole team is quarantined.

I won't be too sure about that. The German newspaper "Welt" just reported that the German "Revierderby" Borussia Dortmund - Schalke 04 (Saturday, 14.03.2020 -15:30 CET) will be played behind closed doors too.

Misunderstanding. What I mean is that the German government (Bundesregierung) would never ban football matches in the first and second Bundesliga. Not until there was a national emergency. The federal government shifts this decision onto the states (Bundesländer) respectively soccerclubs. They do not want to be responsible for this economic damage.

This year's champions league might be interesting. Real Madrid are not on their top form and city has recently lost to Man Utd by a big margin I'd say, though they have an advantage from the 1st leg. PSG and Liverpool also have to face Dortmund and ATM which will have fast paced gameplay and the team with more creativity in the midfield might capture.  Smiley

You are on a wrong thread mate. Here it is the Bundesliga board and not the Champions League one.
Back to our topic, Glabdach vs Koln today.  The game is going to be played without spectators. I hope that Glabdach is going to win this game as this is their last call in order to remain in the europa league qualifiers.

The rescheduled game on Wednesday (1. FC Köln - Borussia Mönchengladbach, 18:30 CET) will be the first game in Bundesliga history that will take place behind closed doors due the Covid-19 pandemic. Sad news for all German football fans - good news for the German healthcare.

When is the semi final draw?

Will be this Sunday evening in the Sportschau. Bayern will surely get Saarbrücken Roll Eyes

Well, I was wrong with that one. Semi-finals will be:

Bayern - Frankfurt
Saarbrücken - Leverkusen

Will be two boring games I guess, but could be an interesting two weeks for Bayern. They will play at Leverkusen, then the cup game at home against Frankfurt, followed by Bundesliga game against Gladbach and then during the next week the first legs of CL semi-finals will be played (Bayern has to qualify for that first of course).

Odds to win the german cup:

Bayern look very short, but not tempted to try my luck with Leverkusen, since they always lose the big games Grin

it is a very good quote for Leverkusen, especially since they are already with one step into the final, and they could get the title, it would their second DFB pokal in history, and this is a good opportunity since their form is very good, they have eight wins in last nine matches in all competitions, from which five in Bundesliga and two against Porto in Europa league

Omicron is another FUD
I was very disappointed in Leipzig's game against Wolfsburg. from the start of the match, I was sure at least Leipzig could score 1 goal, but the match ended in a draw..  tomorrow they (Leipzig) will face Tottenham in the champions league. hopefully, Leipzig can play well and make a win there.

Where does Leipzig lose points?

that is nine points for Leipzig from fifteen points available in last five matches, that is losing points for me, Bayern won thirteen, and Dortmund won twelve points from last five matches, that is the main reason why Leipzig is now third on the table, but I think that pharmacists from Leverkusen will overcome them until the end of the season, since their form is not the best at the moment, there is a lot of time until the end, i agree

If I look at the trend in "Letzte 5" last 5 games, Mönchengladbach has left most of the points in the TOP 5, followed by Leipzig.

I also think Bayern makes the run to the title, unless something else happens  Huh

Thats the league table, Bayern is 5 points better, Who do you think will win the league come MAY

German league journey is still long and will still change a lot. But the winning candidates remain Bayer Munchen, Dortmund and Leipzig. Because the difference in points is not too far away, it's likely that the champions of the three teams are still big.

I don't think that the league table is going to change till the end of the league.
Bayern has difficulties in getting to the top during the mid season of the league. From that point and then they show incredible performance till the end of the season and they always capture the first place.

Bayern won the game 2 goals to nil, and also with an excellent performance. They stretch the lead over Dortmund to 4 points.
The battle for who will be league champions continues.
