Dortmund is playing with Moenchengladbach, this could mean end of battle fight for home team, and Dortmund will chase Bayern till the end, also Leipzig has away match in the city of Wolksvagen, think that win is out of question tomorrow
Bayern has local derby with Augsburg, but they will handle it with ease

When is the semi final draw?

Will be this Sunday evening in the Sportschau. Bayern will surely get Saarbrücken Roll Eyes

I would like to see Bayern having to travel to Frankfurt. They will be missing Kostic due to his red card yesterday, which is a huge blow, but I would give Frankfurt more chances to beat Bayern than Leverkusen. That 5-1 earlier this season was quite delicious to witness Grin

It can easily come that Bayern Saarbrücken catch. But hope for Frankfurt, because the game will be a little more interesting than Saarbrücken. And that would be something if Saarbrücken made it to the finals, a complete under dog in the final  Grin

Oh come on, you and I know that it doesn't matter who Bayern will face, they will make it to the final no matter what  Cheesy. But yea I guess you are right, Bayern will probably face Saarbrücken in the semi-finals and this won't be such a close match like the last one  Wink. Nevertheless the final in Berlin is always a different game. Facing Frankfurt or Leverkusen could get pretty hard, especially when everyone except the Bayern fans are cheering for the opponent.

But now back to topic: What an amazing night it was yesterday. The Saarbrücken - Düsseldorf game.. a total of 20 penalties in the shoot-out is just crazy. The Saarbrücken goalkeeper Daniel Batz really delivered an outstanding performance yesterday. He saved 1 penalty in regular time and 4 penalties in the shoot-out, what a beast lol. I am really happy for the Saarbrücken fans, I am pretty sure they will have another blast in the semi-finals. In addition to that Saarbrücken is the first team from the 4th German league to make it into the semi-finals of the cup. Can you hear it guys? Berlin is calling!

That was really a crazy one. Düsseldorf were missing so many chances/penalties and of course I lost my bet because of their dumbness. They were pretty poor in general imo and always tried to tiki-taka their way into the box instead of shooting from outside the box. Serves them right to be eliminated.

Now Saarbrücken will face Bayern/Leverkusen/Frankfurt and they should move to maybe Kaiserslautern for that game. They will lose anyway (bold prediction) and should try to max out their revenue to have some more money to work with for next season in third division.

I completely agree with you,  but if you decide to miss opportunities, you deserve to quit. So this are the teams for the semi final.

Saarbrücken
Bayern Munich
Leverkusen
Frankfurt

Me too. I am spending my time waiting with following the newly installed XFL, but it's hard to watch tbh.

Oh yea, I read a few articles about this "new premium" league, but you are right teams like Dallas Renegades or Tampa Bay Vipers don't really attract me. I guess I am waiting for the regular NFL season.

Amazing game yesterday from the 4 league player, congratulation to Saarbrücken  Shocked Shocked
One can only mention the cup has its own rules!

Pretty sure most of the fans will like these more work- and family-friendly changes.

I didn't mind these Monday games, but for the fans going to the stadium, and especially the away fans, this is good news. I will still have the crappy Monday 2. Bundesliga game to "work" with Cheesy During NFL offseason it's great to have another late game on otherwise boring Sunday evenings.

Sure you can, just buy a second TV screen  Cheesy.., or just use your Laptop. Thats what we did the past NFL season. No way I want to miss Icke and his crew on Pro7 MAXX. Can't wait for the next season by the way.

My normal setup during NFL season on a Sunday evening is Coach Esume running on TV. I would stream the NY Giants game via NFL gamepass on one of my monitors and on my Laptop I would stream some german Basketball. So with this Bundesliga game on top, I would now have to make some room to watch that one too. Not easy Grin

Can't wait for the next season by the way.

The DFL has decided to introduce some new kick-off time starting with the 2021/2022 season. The Monday 8:30pm games and Sunday 1:30pm games will be replaced by Sunday evening games starting at 7:30pm. The, as of now, second Sunday game will move from 6:00pm to 5:30pm. I like that.

Hm, very good news for the Bundesliga in my opinion. The ridiculous Monday night game is gone. Bundesliga finally takes place again on the weekend. Pretty sure most of the fans will like these more work- and family-friendly changes. In addition to that replacing the early Sunday 1:30pm game is a smart idea to support the amateurs und regional clubs, which usually play on Sundays between 12:00pm - 3:00pm.

I was always against matches that was taking place during Monday.
So good news that Bundesliga decided to move the Monday game to Sunday. Weekend is for playing football, many people are working on Mondays so interest is dropping on weekdays.

Will collide with NFL, but you can't have it all I guess Cheesy

We got some very interesting games today and tomorrow in the German Cup (DFB Pokal):

Tuesday 03.03.2020:

FC Saarbrücken - Fortuna Düsseldorf

FC Schalke - FC Bayern München

After their fantastic performances in the UCL and the Bundesliga, Bayern will have an easy game against Schalke - even without Robert Lewandowski. The Saarbrücken Düsseldorf game is a very close one in my opinion. Let's pick the underdog here. Saarbrücken got 4.75 odds and I try it.

Wednesday 04.03.2020:

Bayer Leverkusen - Union Berlin

Eintracht Frankfurt - Werder Bremen

On Wednesday I will pick Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt. Both teams showed pretty strong performances in the Bundesliga during the last weeks and I am confident they can make it to the semi-finals.

I go accord with you and with your assessment. I also think the bold teams win.

My Tips today:

FC Saarbrücken - Fortuna Düsseldorf 1:2

FC Schalke - FC Bayern München 1:4

and a hello to the round  Grin

I expect that Bayern Munich will win about Schalke but the Cup have his on Rules you know , you can watch it in free TV program.
Also i guess that Düsseldorf will win also against Saarbrücken , because they played well the last weeks.

My bets:
3:1 for Munich
2:1 for Düsseldorf

I'm sure Bayern Munich will win with Schalke easily even I predict with a score of 3-0 without reply because this is airing on free tv so I will watch it with satisfaction.

In the bet I will put bayern munchen as the winner but the match FC Saarbrücken - Fortuna Düsseldorf I am still not sure to bet

Good luck, odds already moved in your favour Wink I can't see Saarbrücken winning inside 90 minutes here, but X and extra time is very well possible. They are still playing at Völklingen as Ludwigsparkstadion is under construction (for ages already). It's not necessarily a disadvantage, since they play there for so long already, but a more hostile environment like it can be created at Ludwigspark, would give them more chances imo.
Quality-wise I would rate Saarbrücken as a bottom third division team right now. They are leading the table in Regionalliga Southwest and are likely to promote to 3. Liga. Now Düsseldorf has picked up some form after Funkel left. They were a bit unlucky (read: dumb) to let Hertha back in the game on Friday evening, but all in all they seem to be on the right track. I would give Saarbrücken around 20% to qualify, so odds of 1,40+ represent some value for me for Düsseldorf to qualify. Will parlay with Bayern to qualify to make it around 1.60-ish, Schalke is a mess right now.

Btw I can't say if Leipzig will stay strong either but atleast I expect them to lift this season trophy.

I think Liipzig will not be strong enough to win the trophy this season because so tight in the Bundeliga rivals Bayern Munchen will be superior to last season where they will win the trophy this season.
Although the points are not far from Bayern Munich but I'm sure Leipzig won't be able to catch up with him, let's see who will take second place between Leipzig and Dortmund.

I was expecting that Leipzig is going to lose points against Leverkusen.
Leverkusen is always an opponent that cut points from the title challengers.
IT is so sad that Bayern has already gained such a strong advantage in this early stage of the league.

Well advantage is not much. Only 3 points and believe me you can't say for sure if Bayern is gonna win every match from here on. They might have settled themselves after a bad start this season but there are gonna be lot of upset since there is a good uptight competition amongst top teams in table race.

Btw I can't say if Leipzig will stay strong either but atleast I expect them to lift this season trophy.

If Bayern Munich wins all there Games they win the League !
I realy hope they lose one game so other Teams have the chance to do it ,but this means they also have to win there games.
But it looks like that Bayern will do it again , sadly !

It is not really much about Bayern Munich dropping points than it's about Leipzig getting as many points as they possibly, If you look at the fixtures you'd see that Bayern actually have tougher upcoming games as compared to Leipzig. They've still got Dortmund, Leverkusen, Monchengladbach and Wolfsburg all of which are going to be tough games. I can assure you that Bayern are definitely still going to lose points, it's now up to Leipzig if they can advantage of that and not lose further points.

I hope that Bayern is not going to win all the games.
I don't have anything with Bayern, on the contrary I believe that they play amazing football. However, Leipzig did an amazing season so far and they deserve to get a title.
