I have not heard Leverkusen trying to bring in really big players. Yes, they are well-known celebrity for growing up young talent, but now they have to change their mindset a little. I expect German champions are not thinking that the squad that they had in the last season is going to be enough for them. I hope after an undefeated season Xabi Alonso are actually trying to improve the squad because maybe, just maybe there is a possibility that the squad that they had in the last season is not going to work in the next season. I think Leverkusen won't need to make big changes this summer. Because they seem likely to keep a serious part of their squad from the previous season. Dortmund is closing in on signing Guirassy from Stuttgart. Maatsen's loan spell is ending so they will need a LB transfer.

I guess its nomal that there are rumors and maybe transfers speculations for the most of the bigger teams in the german league when the Euro 2024 is running.
Even there are a few transfers from Bayern Munich done i guess the other Teams dont sleep in this time.

Bayer Leverkusen shocked everyone it was just as if they changed the way thing are done because it as always be Bayern Munich and Dortmund one of the things that got me amazed was the fact that Bayer Leverkusen did a great job surpassing a lot of clubs, who would have Bayer Leverkusen to top. Xabi Alonso have been a great coach to them and with this he has done a lot of clubs will want him in their club also, just because of what he as accomplished. sometimes you might not know the importance of having a good coach until you see them archiving things, just imagine if pep should leave the city what will become of them.

Having a new coach is also a lot of work because before they start understanding them self it will be a lot of work because the pattern of the previous coach is going to be different from the new one. so Bayern Munich still have a lot of work to do in other to get back their glory but for now I don't think so it will take a lot of time for them to get their glory back even with them having a new coach. Xabi Alonso will do anything in his capacity to keep the club maintain their glory because it will even create more opportunities for him, every seasons is always taking a new shape, you never can tell what you will be expecting.

Yes, in my opinion we cannot compare Leverkusen with Napoli because Napoli performed impressively in the 2022/2023 season but then their performance became very bad in the 2023/2024 season. Leverkusen has a genius coach like Xabi Alonso and I am sure he will be able to bring Leverkusen back to competing at a high level. Leverkusen has a weakness in one-on-one play and it was visible when Atalanta implemented highpress man to man marking tactics. But I'm sure Alonso knows his team's weaknesses and will make several player purchases in this transfer window. I'm not sure Leverkusen will go undefeated again next season. But Leverkusen will still be able to win the Bundesliga and may also be able to reach the UCL knockout stage.

Coaches are changed so that something in the team changes for the better, but it seems to me that this can only be counted on if a truly experienced coach comes to the team, and not one who will gain experience with a stronger team.
