Well I agree with you that is still early to no how there next season may likely turn out, but however the reason why I had that assumption was that Bayern Munich had underestimated  Bayern Leverkusen on this season but it was surprising for them to see how good Bayern Leverkusen has been, so perhaps that's the reason why I believe that there next season will be challenging because Bayern Munich has learn there lesson so they will never underestimate any club next season so that they can be able to maintain there wining records.

It is too early to predict that Leverkusen will win Bundesliga this season. There are many matches for surprise from both Leverkusen and Bayern Munich. Honestly it seems Leverkusen has good advantage and likely will be a champion this season.

About a next season, it's harder to predict because Leverkusen might fail to keep Alonso in their club and maybe they will sell some of their star players too. Bayern Munich will spend more money to buy more players in a next summer to strengthen their squad. If the scenario is that Xabi will leave next summer, his destination will be none other than Liverpool. apart from Don Carlo extending with Real Madrid, Alonso doesn't seem willing to directly handle a team as big as Real Madrid. at least, Liverpool is the ideal choice as you say. if he chooses Bayern, his experience cannot be tested in other competitions. moreover, at the Premier League level which has quite strong competitors. plus, Xabi's role will be really needed if Klopp ends his tenure with the Red this season. so, there is an opportunity for Xabi to expand his coaching activities. apart from that, it is rumored that Xabi has a contract where if he wants he is free to leave Leberkusen even though his contract is until 2026.

IMO, if in the end Xabi leaves and chooses Liverpool, he will have additional experience with other teams before handling Real Madrid. what is certain is that Xabi will be tested with different teams, players who have different characters, and how he handles every problem that occurs in the Red dressing room. It's sad that I haven't yet found a bookmaker offering a bet on where Xabi will be coach next year. I would bet that the odds for Leverkusen will be relatively high. And that's exactly what I would bet on at the moment. He has formed a great team in the last 1.5 years. And he is now reaping the rewards. He will be playing in the Champions League next season and the income will also allow him to make targeted new signs to improve the team further. So my tip is that he will stay with Leverkusen for at least another year.
