I heard this kind of speculation last season too, when they sold Haaland. Many said that they would not be as strong as the previous season because they sold one of their most important players. And they showed that it was wrong and they remained one of the clubs that had the second biggest chance after Bayern Munich, and even last season they almost won the title if only in the last match they could get full points at that time. I wouldn't at all compare Bellingham with Haaland and also not confuse the recent success as a goal scorer with Bellingham being a full mode striker. It could be and it will still take some time to see whether Bellingham can keep going and scoring. But the biggest weapon Dortmund had was Haaland for a while and Bellingham was very good, but he never as decisive as he has now been for Real Madrid. It doesn't happen very often that a player decides a few games in a row in the last few minutes.

For Dortmund Bellingham scored a goal around every 8 games. For Real Madrid he scored 4 goals in 3 games. To me this is most likely more of an outlier than the expected standard.

The fact that Borussia Dortmund is very good at recruiting talented young players who later goes on to become football superstars shouldn't be the reason why the club management should be their best players every summer and getting huge financial profits as rewards. That particular ideology of the club's heirarchy has really caused them the chances of winning major trophies for the club.
The sold Jadon Sancho to Manchester United after his impressive rise to stardom at the club and still allowed Erling Haaland to join Manchester City the following summer then sold Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid this summer. The club's continuous sale of their best players have aided their rivals in winning the German Bundesliga title for over the past 10 years

Haaland was sold by Dortmund last season. You know he was their leading scorer, he scored a lot of goals. Even after Haaland's departure their performance was stable, thanks to Bellingham. If I talk about Bellingham, because of his responsible performances Dortmund's midfield and attack were fairly stable. Now after losing Bellingham Dortmund is even weaker again. You know they have a talented striker like Haaler, but problem is Haller is still not able to perform consistently well. Haller's consistency in performance will actually bring stability back to Dortmund's performance, I guess.

You're right though cause I could imagine what their team would had looked like with Haaland and Bellingham still involved in it, even though they didn't win the Champions League, they would've probably won the league title and be very invisible, but consider Dortmund a more business minded team, because they careless about winning trophies and are more focused on buying youngsters across Europe, develop them into future prospects and sell them for huge fee to top clubs when they're fully developed, just like I happened with Sancho, Haaland, Bellingham etc.
So far they haven't been in their best form and are still struggling to win matches, their performance is not all bad because they're still unbeaten just that they lack the ability to score against their opponents which has made them to draw their last two matches, they still have young talented players in their team and hopefully for them Karim Adeyemi would be the player they'll cash in on next summer.

Dortmund would find a way to improve their results sooner or later. I don't see them making a great start mostly already. This kind of a start isn't something new for Dortmund. They still manage to be one of the top teams in the league no matter what. Bellingham's departure will of course affect them negatively.

But there are new players added to the squad who can also make a decent level of contribution. Honestly I don't think they can be in the title race until the last moments this time but they can at least maintain their existence in top four.

There is some uncertainty surrounding the impending meeting between Dortmund and Freiburg, as previous head to-head results point to Dortmund possible superiority. It is impossible to ignore Freiburg recent performance and home advantage though. Dortmund is ready to resume their winning ways after two draws and reclaim the top spot in the standings, but Freiburg is also driven to move up this year. Expect a difficult match in which both teams have a chance to win, although the ultimate outcome might not be as lopsided as previous encounters, possibly going in Dortmund's favour by a score of 1-3 or 0-2 instead. The words that more accurately to describe Borussia Dortmund's trend in my opinion is not a smooth start, because it's only been three matches so it's still very early days.
Dortmund is at least unbeaten, only drawing twice is not a pleasant result, and will make it difficult to fight for the title.
Dortmund will start to develop well in the course of time.
In a few seasons, they have become a fairly competitive team even though they always sell their star players but that doesn't immediately make their appearance as a weak team, it will indeed look weak because of adjustments to the departure of star players but will slowly improve again to become a competitor for Bayern Munich but only as a competitor because it will be difficult to bring down Bayern Munich, like it did last season failed at the end.

Victor Boniface is the most successful transfer this summer for Leverkusen. The reason is that currently he has scored 4 goals and 2 assists with Leverkusen and I think he will start to fill the Bundesliga top scorer this season. They are in the 9th position which is true but they may drop more points against a strong Frieburg team who's a bigger opponent with more home advantage to win unless Dortmund will be more improved otherwise they shouldn't expect nothing but a defeat and more chances to be in the 10th or 11th position in the league table. The home team will be looking forward to win at home since the match will be played in front of their fans since they are at home but Dortmund can scale through to steal the win from Frieburg of they play a better football in the game.

Compared to last season, I think Dortmund team is weaker this season. This team played very well last season. A win in the last match of the season would have made Dortmund champions of the Bundesliga. But at the beginning of this season, their performance is very slow. One of the reasons for Dortmund's slow performance is that they sold one of the best players in their squad, Bellingham. Dortmund lost three best star players in recent seasons, from Sancho to Haaland and Bellingham. They do feel impacts from absences of those players but they have good scout team and their belief is those scout staffs will help them to have new talented players who will step on a same journey of previous star players.

@BlackBoss_ I don’t think that Dortmund owner’s would be worried yet because it’s just the start of the season and I’m sure that they’re trusting their process which has so far given them rich dividends. Furthermore I feel that in January Dortmund can bring back Sancho because he’s flopped at Manchester United and his return could be a very big boost for them because he was an important player for them.
