I don't think Borrussia Dortmund will be able to stop Bayer Leverkusen this season because Borrussia Dortmund will have to fight again to get into the top four of the Bundesliga standings. But for Bayern Munich, it is still quite possible for them to stop Bayer Leverkusen because considering that the distance between Bayern Munich's points is still quite close to Bayer Leverkusen in the standings, it does not rule out the possibility of making Xabi Alonso's team difficult again in the second half of this season.
The Bundesliga title race is on and Bayer Leverkusen have been leading from the early moments of the first season till current date. A difficult team is well known to be a complex club finding it hard to cooperate within themselves. The possibility of Leverkusen losing points currently is 10% because Xabi Alonso and his squad already know what to do inother to win matches, they're no longer relenting, rather they would lay targets on winning results. Borrusia Dortmund tried to stop Bayer Leverkusen by becoming the first team to hand them their first defeat of the season, luckily Leverkusen escaped with slim chances.
Bayer Leverkusen is the only team that is unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season, the consistency that was able to maintain until week 16 made Xabi Alonso's team succeed at the top of the standings. Bayern Munich must fight harder to return to the top of the standings, this season Bayern Munich is competing with new competitors in the title race after last season they managed to win the race over Dortmund until the last match.
Bayern Munich is still trying to catch up with Leverkusen, who still dominates the standings, but due to their rival's very consistent performance, Bayern Munich has to be patient until their rival makes a mistake.

Let's just hope that Bayern Leverkusen keeps winning their games. One thing I know is that they won't end the season unbeaten, but even if they are going to lose games it shouldn't be now.

With the current performance of Bayern Leverkusen I have a great confidence that they will surely win the league because they have shown themselves worthy to become the Bundesliga league 1 champion, however Bayern Munich have been there only nightmare because Bayern Munich is looking for every opportunity to bring them down from the first position of the league but could not, do to how strong in performance Bayern Leverkusen is and also there consistency on this season league is something to write home about because they have actually proven to Bayern Munich that they have the performance that cannot be stop by them.

However Bayern Leverkusen is leading with 42 points while Bayern Munich is currently 38 points and however the Bayern Leverkusen upcoming matches is a very sure win match for them because there performance is far better than those clubs and at the same time making Bayern Munich chances of entering the first position very impossible for them.

The two have met but the match ended in a 1-1 draw, the opportunity to stop Leverkusen is impossible because Dortmund is fifth in the standings now. Leverkusen was even able to draw when facing Bayern Munich, which is much stronger than Dortmund. This season the Bundesliga is a little different from previous seasons because the dominance of Bayern Munich and Dortmund will be broken again if Leverkusen manages to appear solid until the season ends.

Xabi Alonso just needs to do something so that his team can be much more solid and consistent and maybe he needs to pay attention to player fatigue when playing. If this can be handled well then Leverkusen has a real chance of becoming the team that will lift the Bundesliga trophy this season.

Just a few months at Union Berlin doesn't seem to have made Leonardo Bonucci happy and he even had an argument with previous coach Urs Fischer because he didn't get proper playing minutes. Even though Union Berlin has now changed to a new coach, Nenad Bjelica doesn't make him a priority and continues to fill the bench.

There are new rumors circulating that seeing Leonardo Bonucci's discomfort in Germany, the Turkish team, Fenerbahce, is interested in recruiting him and I don't think it's a bad offer if Leonardo Bonucci still wants to play and get decent minutes outside Europe's top league. The decision will still have to wait another week to determine his choice and I think he will have to leave considering that he is no longer as competitive as when he was younger.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1744084502706618863

For sure this could be true as Leonardo Bonucci could have been a great asset for Union Berlin's success back then but because Union Berlin is on the verge of losing the 1st Division this season and they are currently not using him more often and as you have suggested that he got an argument with the new Coach of Union Berlin for sure he is not happy anymore so for sure he will accepts the offer of whoever wants him on their team,

The time from Hans-Joachim Watzke at Borussioa Dortmund will end in 2025. As the club announced today, he will not extend his contract and will no longer be a member of the management team next autumn in the next year. This will marks the end of a 20-year era.
It is good that he has announcing it yet. This will give the club enough time to prepare and find a successor.

For sure Dortmund will have enough time to get a replacement for him but for sure they will use him after next year, or maybe they will prepare a better contract for him as Dortmund will now need someone that can stay to strengthen the team Dortmund right now will be needing great players right now as they are constantly selling their good and reliable players to other teams for me I think they need to sell those players to the other teams outside the Bundesliga and not within it, because that will be trouble for them aswell,

At the age of 36, it is indeed difficult to compete in the starting eleven of major league clubs. It's true that he should play at Fenerbahce or the Saudi Arabian League, which is more suitable for him.
But unfortunately so far there has been no offer from Saudi Arabia. Those confirmed to have interest in Bonucci are Fenerbahce. Even though the actual ability is still very decent, maybe it can last for 1-2 seasons.
On the other hand, Union Berlin also seems to have made a mistake in recruiting him, because he has played very few minutes. And Union Berlin is now in 15th position in the Bundesliga standings.
A loss because they cannot utilize Bonucci's wealth of experience to improve their performance.
The coach's decision is quite absolute and even though there are experienced players in the squad like Bonucci, this does not make Union Berlin hesitate to continue using their young squad in defense. Bonucci should have been given the minutes he deserved and he could have been a leader for the back line but that was not apparent to the Union Berlin coach and the results are as they are now.

Going to Fenerbahce might be quite good for his career because there is still a fairly competitive league outside of the top five European leagues and if he goes to Saudi Arabia he will definitely not think about his career anymore but rather make a lot of money from the salary he gets. Now he is almost approaching retirement age and I think at least one season will be enough to cure his longing to play as a complete football player.

Bayer Leverkusen is not crumbling anytime soon because the headcoach have distributed the elite actions that would be exhibited by the club in league matches. The only team capable of stopping them are Borrussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich this season, no time to complain but focused on the goal. Bayer Leverkusen unbeaten run continues still this very moment? I've no idea how Xabi Alonso have been able to do this because it's not been an easy run up for them in the first chapter of the season. They're threats to every opponent they have meet, nothing but streak winnings becomes their priorities.

What Xabi Alonso and his team are doing is very extraordinary. They are making Bayern Munich look like they are having a bad season but where Bayern Munich is also having a very good season as well. The title race is getting very tight and I think the match that would have the most impact on the title race is the match between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen mid february.

The German people are getting to see a very exciting season after a long time. As a neutral fan as well, it has been very enjoyable to see the German league. Bayer Leverkusen may even win the Europa League but their biggest hurdle will be Liverpool. But the way they are performing now, they might even beat Liverpool.
Every victory achieved by Bayer Leverkusen always puts pressure on Bayern Munich, Tuchel troops must always perform at their best to maintain a points deficit from Bayer Leverkusen who are currently at the top of the standings. The humiliating defeat experienced at Eintracht Frankfurt headquarters meant that Bayern Munich failed to surpass Leverkusen points change, who were only able to draw in the same week.

Bayern Munich must win the remaining match that has not been played to close the gap with Leverkusen. Bayern Munich's struggle this season is more difficult than previous seasons because the rivals they are competing with always perform optimally in every match. Of course, the competition between the two is very enjoyable, Leverkusen has made the Bundesliga even more competitive, the competition between the two will continue until the end of the season.

Yes, I admit that Xabi Alonso is indeed an extraordinary coach because of his ability to build Leverkusen into a club that is not easily beaten by any club. Even Bayern Munich, which is the strongest club in the Bundesliga, could not beat Leverkusen and could only achieve a draw even though at that time Bayern Munich already have Harry Kane but Bayern Munich still seems to have difficulty beating Leverkusen, but it looks like the second meeting this season will be the most crucial match where Leverkusen will be the home team and Bayern Munich will be the visiting team. This match is indeed profitable for Leverkusen but Bayern Munich must have developed a new strategy to beat Leverkusen or will both of them return to a draw??

Of course, seeing Leverkusen play impressively this season and seeing Bayern Munich struggling to occupy first place makes watching the Bundesliga interesting because many people's want the Bundesliga to be a competitive league and not only controlled by Bayern Munich.

Franz Beckenbauer, a German soccer legend, passed away today, he was 78 years old.

Beckenbauer won the 1974 World Cup as captain of Federal Republic of Germany. In 1990, he won the World Cup as a coach. Franz Beckenbauer won the Ballon d'Or twice, in 1972 and 1976.

Rest in peace, legend
It's bad news.

In 2023, we had some legendary people died, Maradona, Pele and in just very early days of 2024, we have Beckenbauer. He is a legendary libero and in Germany football history, many years after Franz, they got another oustanding libero,  Matthias Sammer.

About Franz, he is recognized as The Emperor to differentiate him with The King Pele. Because there is only one King, the world must use that term for Franz and getting it means he is actually a legendary player.

Rest In Peace to him.

Xabi has the freshness on his side that gives him a better perspective into the world of football, he was a player way more recently than Tuchel has ever been and Xabi played in bigger situations so learned more high level stuff there as well. Tuchel has the wisdom and experience on his side, he has managed a lot bigger clubs and have seen a lot more success on his managerial situations as well.

So, when you combine those two together, you do get a great manager, but when they are facing each other, I believe both have their advantages and disadvantages. I believe that we are not going to end up with anything that would get better, it should not be all that confusing, it should be quite the normal situation and do better in time.
Tuchel has more experience than Xabi Alonso, from Bundesliga to around Europe and at highest level like Champions League. Tuchel lifted some trophies in his coach career while Xabi Alonso still has empty hands as a coach. Comparing them about experience, Tuchel surely wins but comparing them about chances to win Bundesliga in this season, it is like 50/50 with a little bit advantage to Tuchel.

Tuchel has bigger advantage because of his experience and better player resources in Bayern Munich than Xabi and Leverkusen. Even so, Xabi and Leverkusen can make big shock to beat Bayern Munich and complete a mission which Dortmund failed in a last match day past season.

You're right. Bayern Munich has 1 unplayed match. If they win the unplayed match, their point will be 41, the point gap is 1 point only. So, actually Bayern Munich is still has a big chance to compete for the title this season. However, Bayern Munich must ensure that they won't miss again 3 points for the next matches. If both Bayern Munich and Leverkusen can play consistently in each match, it will be a tough competition for the title this season. And the next match Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich is probably to be a crucial match to determine which team to be the champion in this season. The match  Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich will be in matchday 21 (February 11, 2024).

Both clubs have made this season Bundesliga a competitive one and also given fans the to watch the league. Bayern Munich have been winning This trophy every year and they don’t want to still hand it over for at least a season, that’s how high their standards his. This season I am supporting Bayer Leverkusen because I want to see a new champion this season and Bayern Munich dominance trample upon. Xabi Alonso and his boys are doing well just that we don’t know how they will start this second half of the season because they need to be in high spirit. The sad news is Boniface is out injured for at least 6 weeks and with what I think the Bayer game against Bayern Munich will have been played already. But I don’t see that game alone as the title decider because games against relegation threaten teams will be tough too and a tricky one. So there are many game that will play out to be a title decider and not necessarily the game between them both

He really has the best stat so far this season as a coach and the way he has transformed the team really amazes me, he has the best tactics and  playing style in the league, the way they play makes them stand out among other teams. I just hope he doesn’t drop form and so he doesn’t waste the money to standout as a team. We have seen many coaches come this way, started this way but couldn’t end the year this way. They do come this way and couldn’t win this year i just hope they they can keep up the performance and probably win more matches, i just hope everything goes well.

I Will say that I trust Xabi Alonso more than any other coach in the Bundesliga right now. And that is something a lot of other people will also say in my opinion. Because even in a short period of time, he has been able to prove that he is not just another coach, he is actually far above average and he has the tactics to make things work. He also has an idea of how to make the best out of all the players that he has in the squad. The team that he has right now is definitely not world class. But he is making it work. And for that, he should get all the credit that he is getting right now. And that inherently gives him an advantage, even if it is just a psychological one.

Bayern Munich is also still one game behind Leverkusen so the gap in points seen now is four points, but if Bayern Munich's matches are the same as Leverkusen's number of matches and Munich can win. So the point gap between the two is just one, not four points, unless Munich cannot win in its 16th match in the Bundesliga. Apart from that, Leverkusen this season only competed in the European League apart from the Bundesliga, not in the Champions League like Munich. So the pressure these two teams have is certainly very different even though they often look the same in the Bundesliga.

I saw Xabi still playing football when Tuchel was coach. So in terms of experience, Tuchel has a lot of experience. But here we see, old statistics cannot always show the strength and intelligence of a coach at one time. Xabi is a new coach but he is quite a genius with Leverkusen at the moment. Xabi was able to process well, not making many big transfers.
This is different from Tuchel, even though the financial conditions are very different. Tuchel was given the facilities the players needed to meet their championship targets. He is also a good coach, he made Bayern play better when Kane joined. Currently Leverkusen and Bayern Munich are competing fiercely to win the Bundesliga.
