The problem will only arise if the gambler itself has no control over the urge in gambling. Because of the intention to increase the amount in the account, what happened is the opposite. Instead of adding profits, you are losing those money all of a sudden. That’s why for gamblers who have no discipline over their funds, then always avoid storing your funds in your gambling account. Although it’s a mistake did by OP, but if he only know how to save more than to spend more, he will never end up losing them everything.

Why not use a non-custodial wallet to receive payments from signature campaigns? I think most people use that wallet.

Maybe what you mean is that after receiving payment from the signature campaign, say $40 and want to increase profits by around 5-10%, meaning from $40 initial capital you want to $55 after that you will withdraw it? I don't think gambling can be said to be like that, in fact it is the ones who lose more, the intention is to increase slowly rather than losing everything in a few times.

You need to learn from this mistake and exercise good discipline, at least I myself have never used a gambling wallet to receive campaign payments.

For some reason is to show support to the signature campaign you joined. Like what I did before, the bitcoin address I used for the payment is the bitcoin address from the platform signature campaign I joined even it is not required to.

OP story also happened to me many times. I also discussed this same story on my l0cal board section before.

It’s important for me to tell this story so that others don’t make the same mistake I did. This has been a huge life lesson in managing money and emotional self-discipline .

I think it’s greed that can make anyone lose money, your act was an attempt to grew those payments while gambling but you forgot that what you were doing isn’t investing but gambling and the chance of losing is way more than earning especially in long term. I never saw or thought before there’s people who set the payment address for signature campaigns or any paid job on a casino.
Not just you are at risk of losing while gambling but they say that any deposit to a casino considered as losing part in owning that money, beside that you will need to wager that amount you receive to your account at least x1 time before requesting a withdrawal which means you are always at risk. So better to ask your CM ASAP to change your payment address if it’s possible.

I made a mistake of getting paid for signature campaign in gambling platform accounts.
When I got my payment, I thought I would slowly increase the amount by about 5-10% before I initiate a withdrawal. But I quickly lost control of my emotions and ended up blowing the entire balance of my account. This happened more than once, it happened about 5 times as I received money from different sources.
It’s important for me to tell this story so that others don’t make the same mistake I did. This has been a huge life lesson in managing money and emotional self-discipline .

If you are complaining is because you lose the money, but what if you double up the money with the right luck? I have done that in the past, Taking the signature payment to the casino and trying to multiply it is something that a lot of users do.

And personally, i have been lucky with this kind of move, i have won more than what i have lost doing this. But as you say, this is not a recommended move to do, people should take the money and walk away with it without risking it because they work hard for it.

It's too risky to keep a certain amount of money on a gambling platform and as many people on this forum have said, it does increase the desire to gamble. And to address this problem you must stick to your original purpose of joining a campaign, of course the reason most people join a campaign is so that they can have an income to answer an existing need. Indeed, between needs and desires, both of which we must fulfill but still needs are a top priority and must have a fixed budget every day, week or month. So the thing you have to do is to prioritize your needs by withdrawing the balance on the platform and then after all your needs are met then you can fulfill your desire to play gambling.

I hope this will be a lesson for yourself in the future so that it is better to withdraw money from the casino if you join the signature campaign and get paid through their site, because then you will start trying your luck there playing a little and ending up spending all the money you should have use it for your living needs and in the end you have to give the money back to the casino.

I also get paid at the casino but I withdraw the money from my work then I only leave a little in my account to just play and have fun, don't care about multiplying the money and winning, after all we have to remember that the dealer will always win, so understand that and don't expect us to win big even though we can get that chance to win. In essence, all of your experiences will also be a lesson for other signature campaign participants to be able to control their emotions and desire to gamble using their salary from the campaign.

This is terrible since you will need to wager whenever you receive payment as mandatory to withdraw your balance with or without profit.

This is good point. The money deposit in there already subject to wager requirements that will force OP to play even if he reach his target profit earlier.

Not your keys, not your coins. It reminds me when people participated in ICOs with the wallet addresses from exchanges... bad move.

Contact your manager asap to change the address (it is not always allowed but your case might be an exception). If you are concerned about fees, send them low priority, but these sats you are saving the way you are doing it will cost you a lot in retrospective.

But this is also a good test for you if you can control your urge to gamble knowing you have money coming from your signature earnings but if keeps failing better change the address or you will become a compulsive gamblers trying to recover your losses.

Testing yourself limit on self-control is a terrible way in the presence of gambling because gambling games is designed to be addictive so you have a high chance to failed your test on an addictive game. It’s same when you are a drug addict and testing yourself to control not taking drugs in a room that you are alone.  Cheesy

Use only gambling as a leisure activity and don’t give to much importance on it especially to control it because you will never do that the more you think about it.

It is good to know that you learned your lesson well.  I bet you will avoid this kind of activity and withdraw your sig payment as soon as it arrives in your wallet in the casino.   It is indeed not wise to gamble what you can't afford to lose, since this will lead you to stress and frustration and oftentimes blaming oneself because of the unwise decision.

I also do this kind of thing but I never regret my decision because I already accepted that my bankroll is already lost as soon as I start my gambling session.  I consider it to be very lucky when my session ends up with a win.

I also don't think it is bad to do such an action as long as we implement self-control and stop the moment the scenario meets our limit in losses.

Your idea of getting paid on gambking account is not a bad idea if you are real gambler since you are just receiving onnce a week payment while you can save transfer fee since it’s already on your account but this is disaster if you are not a regular gambler at all since you can easily lose all the money because your will think that it’s just from signature campaign payment. Your deposit balance is also subjected to wagering requirements of the casino since it’s deposit from campaign manager wallet. This is terrible since you will need to wager whenever you receive payment as mandatory to withdraw your balance with or without profit.

I thought there was a twist to the story from your topic, like maybe a payment was made wrongly into a gambling account and you want to report it but reading the body of your post, the contrary is the case. It is a deliberate act that you submitted your gambling account address to be paid on your signature campaign, so how is there a mistake?

You have submitted your gambling address to be paid on it so that it would be easier for you to have a bankroll to wager from  Grin

Seriously, you don't tempt a dog by leaving a bone for it, when you don't want to eat a meat then you don't need to use your teeth as a knife to cut it. In other words, you have been tempting yourself with your weekly pay to double it but unfortunately you are at the other side being battered and brushed by your no luck.

It’s important for me to tell this story so that others don’t make the same mistake I did. This has been a huge life lesson in managing money and emotional self-discipline .

Some others can wager from their signature campaign payment and win. It is just that way, so the solution if you want that to stop is to pm your campaign manager or write on your campaign thread that you desire to change your wallet address and follow the process.

Except payment must be sent to your gambling account if that is the pattern of payment otherwise, you can change it.

We at Stake signature campaign can withdraw our payout on our Stake account, you can only play on it or you can withdraw it right away you need to be disciple enough and its a challenge for you to withdraw it, if you think you don't have control don't use a gambling platform address especially if you're active in sports betting and there's sports that you are tempted to bet.

But this is also a good test for you if you can control your urge to gamble knowing you have money coming from your signature earnings but if keeps failing better change the address or you will become a compulsive gamblers trying to recover your losses.

Money management is very important here. You must also being so dicipline to control your emotion. You shall try to make sure spend a few percents for that. Try to withdraw it first before you are willing to use your money for the gambling purpose.
I never encountered this kind of problem caused by i were regularly putting ....% to be used for the gambling and try to withdraw the rest. Submitting casino wallet to the signature campaign is not that but this case is pure human error.
Why don't you ask your manager to change your address into the your private address? It will also help you so much in controlling your greed caused by you can have control over your mind.
Im thinking about if this is the best way you can do that.

Wow, so you mean to tell me that you submitted your gambling wallet address to your campaign manager when he requested your payment address? Sorry to say this but that wasn’t a wise decision.

The reason why we always calculate how much we are going to put in our gambling account is to make sure we don’t over spend and trust me if you have up to a million dollars in your gambling account you won’t be aware of when you’ll finish everything and that’s why you see people come to the forum and give stories of how they spent over ten thousand dollars in a week on their gambling account and for you to have been receiving your payment in your account seems like a dumb mistake IMO.

Yes, it was a stupid mistake and I thought I would withdraw it after I received it in my gambling account but it was out of my control due to greed and recovering the initial small payment I received.
Because of that small amount I lost more than this many times.
I’m sharing this because a lot of smart people also act like stupid sometimes.
It’s easy to say but it’s hard to follow through every time.
That is a very bad step to take by submitting you casino wallets to a signature campaign payments because that will become a stool hold on your funds since you must wager at least 1x in most casinos before being able to withdraw and with you current conditions it then means that you have to wager all your weekly payment almost every week and that put you in a higher risk position,  also you may be prompt to be more concern if you discover that you are losing too much money by that decision to use your casino wallets for your weekly basis payment.

Even with my current signature that pays me into a stake account directly,  I still have a percentage set on the amount of balance I leave on the casino at each time and that is all aimed at controlling my gambling activities

Self-discipline is very important. This has not happened to me before. The only money that I was paid and gambled with are the free spin bonuses. After receiving the free spin and I spin and earn some money, I then gamble with the money earned at times. If I win I will withdraw my money and the winnings all at once. But as for my normal money, I can not try to gamble with it. I have self discipline after I overcome gambling addiction two years ago.

I get paid for almost two years now every week from a gambling platform for my signature campaign and I must admit sometimes everyone makes mistakes including experienced gamblers like me but most of the times it does not mean  anything,I play about 10 dollars for fun and then withdraw the signature. The longer you keep the money in the platform the higher the temptation it will be so next time do the opposite, withdraw 90-95% of the amount first and only play with 5-10% of the remaining funds and whatever happens you will not be mad at yourself.

The gambling platforms are the ones who pays the most in signature campaigns so you have to train yourself to do the above and there will be no more problems.

Casinos are well aware of this, which is why many of them pay you into your casino account. I'm sure that quite a few people lose the money in the casino that he gets paid from the signature campaign the same day of the payment, and sometimes more. I'd like to know statistics, which I'm sure no one will reveal, but it must be something like: you have 20 participants in signature campaigns. Of them 5 don't bet anything, about 10 bet part of what they eran in the signature campaign but withdraw part, and another 5 are degenerate gamblers who actually fund the signature campaign with their losses.

Would it really make a significant difference if you used your personal wallet to receive payments from signature campaigns? I may be the only one to say this but I doubt things would have changed. I'm only making this assumption based on your gambling impulse as you shared in the OP. It wouldn't take that long to fund your casino wallet if you felt the urge to play so you'll bet them regardless. Nothing wrong with using gambling accounts except maybe the added fees you'll pay when withdrawing.

I was thinking this was some sort of signature payment from a casino project that you are promoting, which made their payment directly into your gambling account. Not until I read the comment from the first commenter did I understand where all this is coming from.

I think that's not a wise idea to use a betting platform wallet as your receiving address for signature payment. Let's take the uncontrolled means of gambling aside first; it's too risky. This payment is like your salary, and you receiving it into a casino means you are putting it at risk. And what if you use a casino that you can't just make a deposit and withdraw immediately without meeting the wagering requirements that are set in order to reduce the use of the casino for money laundering activities? What do you think will be the faith of the money? You have to wager your payment and might end up losing all of it just by trying to clean up those funds.

And another thing is that you are using a means that doesn't give you total control over funds, as you might not be able to use your bitcoin when you want to use it sometimes. Maybe the casino has some technical issue that can delay withdrawal, or any of such, and what if the casino gets hacked or there is any other activity? Well, I am glad you have realised your own mistake and made a redirection towards such a choice again in the future.
