gambling is like a drugs when you are addicted in gambling it is hard for you to give up because it is already in your system, you will always look for it.
Its just your self will that will set you free because no matter how hard people will try to help you out but without your willingness to pursue I think it will keep circulating inside your minds but if you are willing to free up some space inside of you then those helps will be very effective to removed your addiction.

Everything that you can get your focus onto, can be addicting. Knowing that you can't control yourself should be a sign that you shouldn't do it so much but it's hard to do based on my experience with it. You shouldn't go around and keep playing without limits. You should always put your limits.

Gambling is not for the faint hearted and giving up is bit so easy even if you want to. People can blame gambling but really it is their choice and is up to then. Either don't gamble it just invest in a casino instead. If gambling is bit your thing why bit try to invest in Yolodice? Yolodice has a great investment option. Even if you don't gamble your investment will help you level up and unlock cool features. You can also do this by following others and being followed.

To refuse gambling is not easy only when there is already dependence and you need a person who will control the transition from gambling to another safer hobby.

Hi guys and girls! After making quite a lot of money then losing it and crying about it half the afternoon I have decided to give up gambling for good.  Its not for me in have a much too addictive personality. So now I just plan to work for casinos but not gamble.

The thing is you know you should cash out but you always want just that little bit more and then u lose the whole lot. I'm stupid and greedy. Right after I lost i put more in and doubled it then I went all in and lost it. So yes u can make a killing gambling with such a small about like a few dollars but then u lose all u make and waste a lot of time and energy and end up getting upset. Also i shake like mad when I gamble and I hate that. I tremble. When I lose I can't believe what the screen is telling me.

So any thoughts ? Ways to stop ? Ways to gamble with play money ? Maybe there are dust gambling casinoes I can use? U know just for fun and for the fix. Smiley

It's always hard to break a bad habit. You need discipline and a lot of effort to quit. You will always have an urge to do it again, so you need to be prepared for it. Find other hobbies to replace your bad habit. Quitting is a good choice, since you knew it your self that gambling brings nothing good in your life.
And bad habits are often hard to break. If you have some good habit and somehow you are in bad company and then you are getting into some bad hands then that you’re previous habit just mould within no time. But when this bad habit is developed, once you are good with it, it will be so difficult for you to turn over, but for the sake of good, just turn.

When you bet on a daily basis, it means a lot of up and downs, adrenaline.

I once took a break of 6 months, without placing any bet!! 6 months sounds loooong for someone addicted to gambling but I realized I didnt miss gambling and it helped me to focus on other things (learn Chinese, which is such a hard language to learn).

In life, you always need a balance, if one of your hobbies takes you too much time, it is usually not good.

I really think that quitting any bad habit is really hard, so you should find other hobbies that would serve as a diversion. I really think that playing games or any sports would help you a lot in quitting gambling. You should also discipline your self if you want to really quit gambling. Quitting is hard, but it is for you own sake, so you should work hard for it.

yes we have to addict to other habits to quit one habit otherwise it is not possible. Once we addict to any bad thing, we can't control our emotions. It's not that hard if you're doing it in the right way and i will suggest you a good method : Seek help. Look for books or courses. Self-hypnosis for gambling problems can also be helpful. Consider joining an online gambling addiction forum. Even if you do not join, reading other people's stories may help you realize that you are not alone. It is crucial that you realize that you are not the only person with this problem. Many share your plight and are looking for answers and support from other gamblers. Again, there are resources at the bottom of this article that may be of some help to you.

In sports betting, something that works well for me:

Start with 0.10 Btc.
Bet on small odds, something I have 110% confidence in. Of course nothing is safe...

Once my bankroll gets to 0.20 btc, I withdraw 0.10 Btc and bet with the earnings...
If I reach 0.20 again, I will withdraw 0.10 Btc. NO EXCEPTION.

Is is all about discipline.

It's easy tho. If you're a religious person and believe gambling is a sin you must stay away and never come back to gamble world again as you might get addicted again if you touch gambling. However, it's really hard for those who have missed much money from gamble to quit probably they will play again to recover the losses which is a wrong idea to do.
THis is harder than we thought, of course advices and religious beliefs is a big help but how about the person who got succumb to gambling? We've seen a lot of them and they're life is broke. Discipline to our inner self and measurement of balance of what is too much is important. Psychiatric approach and rehabilitation can help too. Inspiration and belief, friends and family can help you.
Gambling is fun when you are enjoying it and casually playing. But making it as a way of living is another story.
If you are religious and strongly religious, then you have one more step to stop gambling faster. Especially if you talk to friends, or smart people in your religion, you'll get a clearer answer why you should stop gambling.

I agree its not as easy as it seems, there is a process to totally quit in gambling. the support of family is a must to overcome addiction and if possible seek professional help to enlighten you in your situation. it would be better to take a vacation away from any gadgets and computer just give yourself time to unwind and relax.

That's a very hard decisions to do for an addicted gambler, but in order for the person that who wanted to change his/her life; there must be a proper counselling and advises to which how they can quit gambling. Hard decisions maybe over and needs to be successfully be happening that a gambler should be giving up and quit the activity in a smooth ways.

I am not a very religious person but if we are going to discuss about will and stuff, it would be more of a philosophical talk but a person wills gets stronger due to its faith and his faith has roots in his religion. Ultimately, religion does affect human nature.

I have not seen many gamblers in Islamic countries as I have personally visited some. My dictionary says anything becomes sin if it is a cause of pain to anyone and gambling is.
Having no faith is also a faith so it is ridiculous to say that you are not affected by anything. Every one has his own principles and definition of good and bad. Without them, he will be just an animal. Our personality carves out of it.
Gamling is not right according to me because people get ruined. That is all what I have to say about this topic. It is harmful and risky.

I became an addicted gambler and with my experience it's really a hard thing to quit gambling. You are going to fight against yourself even your body doesn't want to gamble anymore, your mind will tell you to gamble and it's just fine because you can quit on the next days to come. And when that happens, you will still do it again and the cycle will be repeating.

The same thing happened to me as well. I cant quit and I keep on coming back. For some people like us it is hard to quit gambling because it might affect ourselves. It is better to keep playing but with small amount so that we wont really risk alot of money even if we need to keep on playing. It is the best thing for us that cant stop playing

the first mistake occurs when we first play gambling. for example is when we consider gambling as an income then we will very easy to get addicted. but if we only consider gambling as an entertainment then I am sure this will be solved easily. so it all starts from the initial goal that we believe.
that mindset, the way i see it, only serves to further one's attachment to gambling and eventually converts them to addicts. personally, i think it's more important to set limits for yourself going into something like gambling, and adhere to those limits you set for yourself strictly. i think people take way too lax of an attitude with gambling, which i can't understand. you're playing with your money, and i think that fact alone dictates you need to take a more serious attitude regardless of the amount involved.

If you are a religious person for sure you will not be addicted in gambling in the first place. Let's assume that this people who have problem in gambling are victims of themselves. They are desperate to make more money so they might think gambling is the only way to solve the problem but they failed in the end, when the problem is money and you spend money to solve it but you failed, I guess that would result to a bigger problem.

People who have this kind of serious problem needs help and quitting is not easy without the help of people who truly care for them.
Indeed correct! A religious person will never get attracted by gambling, therefore never trying it at the first place. For those people who are weak from inside, it is easy to indulge in gambling. For such people, gambling is a solution to all their financial problems but they end up the other way.
I still don't understand why religion has to do with everything else? I myself not a religious person but I never got addicted in gamblings, its just I don't like the feeling when I lose something that I work in just playing bets.

Why did anyone even discuss religion here? It all depends on the person if he will be addicted or not. A person that is religious can well be addicted to gambling and religion will not help. A atheist can also avoid gambling without problems as well. So why are we even discussing religion as a factor for getting addicted?
the religious zealots like to inject their beliefs into any and all conversations and topics to make their beliefs relevant to themselves, just ignore it.
I also favor your stance in this discussion that gambling addiction has nothing to do with the religion of the gambler. It depends entirely upon the nature of a person and his or her own will that whether he wants to continue with the habit or finds it better to quit according to the situation.

If someone gambles just for the sake of fun and has no greed of money at all, then how could one state it as a sin with reference to the teachings of his holy book. In short, if a person is involved in some sort of activity, it is his personal decision and is never influenced by his religious identity.

Giving up to a gambling its not easy.for me to stop it i must learn it how to stop it.i will find new hobbies like bonding with my family, friends going some where to forget ur addiction in gambling thats is the best way to giving it up

As you already said like spend more time with your family and friends in outdoor activities then slowly you will forget about these games. As long as you gamble even couple of minutes on a regular basis then you can't come out of these habits but you have to stop playing completely for some time then only it is possible to come out.
