@DevTeam

Could we have development proposals and vote for them by pledging GLC? I would gladly throw in 100,000 GLC in pledges. This could provide a potent positive feed-back between developers and investors.

IMHO security and privacy features will have to be added at some point down the line to upgrade this early coin and differentiate it. GLC begs to be more than an LTC clone. With its great name and clean reputation, an updated GLC is due to spark much public interest.

Thank you for the great work

There is now a client update being worked on to fix the vulnerability's and a GLC forum has just been added and can be found at glc.io/forum. Please use this from now on to discuss GLC related topics as this way we keep out trolls and can form a much better community [...]

I don't seem to be able to subscribe to glc.io/forum
The Register form asks me to install a Google captcha, and I just don't manage/understand the procedure...

Thanks for any guidance

I believe in GLC. But we must do something that others believe. He better LTC and its price should be not less than 0.01 with BTC. Smiley

For example do multipul. Here is an example boostpool.com it recently did the developer GRS. There everyone is happy and the price has risen. If price were able to raise at least 400 Satoshi then interest to many rose. It's just my thoughts.

I believe that client updates are in the works so we will be promoting on twitter via re-tweet giveaway when the new client drops.

What else should we do?

I think I may have got Cryptsy to update the Logo to the new one soon...

What are your plans for the promotion of the coins from the developer?

I am back at work for 1st time in 11 months.  You really forget what it is like to work, but it is a sacrifice your have to make to buy dat GLC.

Ugh, exhaustion.  Sleep cut from 9 to 10 hours down to 7 and waking up not at 11:00 am but 6:00 am.

It is great though

This 3 post noobie account hosts full nodes for your wallets to sync and has protected the coin from several timewarp attacks by doubling the network hashrate with my own mining hardware when trolls try to rewind difficulty using invalid block timestamps. Obviously I hold a substantial amount of GLC, one of my wallets has over 10,000 transactions.

Why so late to post? Thank you for hosting nodes for us I am very grateful for the support and congratulations on having so much GLC

Since me and Orco had the idea of adding the donation fund the has been 0 deposits from the community and all donations have been from Orco or myself. If the community cared so much about the project moving forward, you would of thought they would make a donation once in a while but sadly this is not the case.

You've had multiple donation addresses, to which myself and others have donated, not just you and orco.

February's Donation Address
7HGqgroz38eY4xMfwUFb7BLVwUjUagykDm

April's Donation Address
7Lz2buKS1ymewZdpB51e2ieY1SsW8a5oNh

The majority of outputs are to known cryptsy addresses which is all well and good if you're selling to cover costs.

Can you further elaborate on the next update? I assume the community would benefit from some discussion before anything is actually implemented.

All 76k is stored at Cryptsy and has not been used to cover costs.
Regarding the update we have only discussed dropping the subsidy and subsidy halving rate to lower the amount of blocks generated per day.

If you or anyone would like to discuss or propose ideas please post them on our forum: http://glc.io/forum/index.php?p=/categories/FutureUpdateRequest we are open to all feasible input

But are you really? what are you doing for Globalcoin and its community? It's been months since you posted and this is what you come in with?

At least fix the first post to remove all the broken links and put the client on a file sharing site like mega.co.nz so people can actually download it instead of relying on your own hosting which seems down more often than not.

Also what are your skills in development and programming? are you able to actually make changes and updates to the code? database, heartbleed and timewarp vulnerabilities why haven't they been done?

And how about updating the post title? like digitalholdings suggested a few pages back, what happened to that guy anyway? he was pretty active and actually got some shit done like the chainz explorer and new logos or how about minermike? or the other developer roadtrain that made the difficulty adjustments??? these guys all sounded like they were going to be helping out and actually doing something for the coin then all of them just disappeared wtf Huh

What am I doing for the Global Coin community?:

Paying hosting bills since launch, Releasing updates or paying for updates/fixes that I'm not sure how to implement, Contacting merchants and online services asking for them to accept GLC, Mining the coin since launch and giving ALL earnings back to the community and much more. Can I ask what you have done with your 3 posts noobie account?

At least fix the first post to remove all the broken links:

Have removed, If people can let me know when services are closing or opening that would be a real help, I cant mine all pools etc and receive 0 PM's

Put the client on a file sharing site like mega.co.nz:

Done.

Also what are your skills in development and programming?:

I work for a major server farm/compile farm in the u.k. I think I'm able to code, that being said there is always new technology's/vulnerability's being written/found everyday and would be great to get some other devs with good ideas to drive GLC forward as I admit I've not been around as much the last few months due to family matters and the fact I'm living in a hotel till my house is available.

No idea people come and go.

I would like to form a new group of marketing individuals and also some community based individual to moderate the new forum and answer questions from the GLC community .

Please remember that GLC is a 0% pre-mine 0% profit organisation. We rely on donations from the community to put towards paying for logo's, web design/hosting, marketing, bounty's etc. Since me and Orco had the idea of adding the donation fund the has been 0 deposits from the community and all donations have been from Orco or myself. Look out for the update coming soon, there will be a subsidy drop.

Clearly the original developer does not have the drive or skills to maintain this coin. A shame really, seeing as globalcoin is one of the older and well dispersed altcoins with immense marketability on the name alone.

I vote for a community takeover of the globalcoin project.

I also vote for a community takeover.
The dev has gone, the coin is left for dead.
Nothing is happening with it.
At the moment I categorize it as extinct.
The main thing it has going for it is its name.

There are 2 real possibilities,

1 - New development team, new strategies, marketing, leading to real world uses.

2 - Sell out the name ( through some sort of coin swap ) to a coin that has much better tech, but has crap name. This can be  better for both coins as they become one for the benefit of both coin holders, before this coin becomes completely valueless and disappears altogether. This can give greater value and focus on the new coin.
